No one here has said that the game is ruined. On the contrary I've mentioned multiple times that I'll still enjoy the game.

I'm not afraid to say that the game is ruined for me. With the absence of playable Radiant Garden and Destiny Islands, and the things that entails, KH3 simply is not the game I was looking forward to. There may be individual components which are enjoyable, and I'm open to that, but I do not think that the game on the whole will be good or satisfying. Of course I would love to be proven wrong, maybe there's some real substance there to make up for what's missing, but I doubt it at this point.

I agree with your other points though. Bagcifreak misconstrued the entire line of criticism surrounding the absence of RG. I don't want it back because I want more random FF cameos, I wanted it back because of the storylines that are attached to them and to the world itself. IDGAF if Rikku, Yuna and Paine are completely ignored. I could even live without Cloud and Sephiroth, or maybe a minimized presence for them. But RG has way more to contribute to this installment than FF cameos so if people don't understand why it's upsetting to see it get the axe that is definitely on them. By all means, people are allowed to enjoy KH3 despite its flaws, but by the same token people are allowed to hold it to account and make their concerns known. That's what discussion is about.

Also in point of fact, KH is a FFxDisney crossover. Always has been. Doesn't matter the reasons why. Yeah FF was included to make it appeal to RPG fans, just like Disney was included to make it appeal to kids and families. The original story doesn't *need* either to function.

That's awesome. I was listening to the full track this morning and decided I'm now addicted. My single gripe is that the bridge is a thing of such beauty and then it doesn't quite build off of that into a big finish. I wish Skrillex had gone a little more bombastic and then put us down softly with the outro. But it's still good.

Damn, the cooking mechanic is super cool. I've always liked how food is incorporated into the KH series, and this is definitely the most tangible form of it that I've seen. The tie-in is great, the fact that each recipe is usable in battle is fantastic, and the keyblade is gorgeous. Excellent job, Osaka team.

I would think so if she is purged of the darkness that has taken over her. I doubt she would get a new keyblade and a new set of armor.

Also if bh6 is canon, then I think monsters Inc is canon as a sequel to the first movie.

Looks to be the case for Monsters Inc. as for one its original and secondly it's taking place right after the movie as the company now uses laughter instead of screams and Boo isn't in her Monster costume just like the movie along with the fact that Mike had rebuilt Boo's door which would explain her appearance once again.

I'm expecting that the next Pixar Worlds in the next KH games will be original storylines and take place after the events of the original movie (e.g. Inside Out, Coco, Incredibles 2, etc..)

Agreed, while I'm happy Stitch is in the game, I'm a little disappointed as I wanted an actual Lilo & Stitch world to appear and the film was a shoe-in in Kingdom Hearts III. Not to mention it would repeat the previous pattern of Sora having a Disney summons before visiting their world in the next numbered title, much like how Simba and Mushu started off as summons in the first game before visiting their actual worlds in Kingdom Hearts II.

So I am surprised and also perplexed on Stitch remaining as a Summon and link in Kingdom Hearts III, instead of visiting his homeworld (as the Hawaii setting was in his KH2 Summoning) like Simba and Mushu in KH2?

Hopefully we'll get a proper one in KH4 as like NH as it isn't similar to Moana, despite the film's Tropic/Island setting.

Rapunzel stops being a Party member.

It does make sense obviously, but damn, seeing as how Roy Conli gave them full liberty with BH6 I was hoping they'd tweak the movie's plot in order to resolve the eventual conflict differently and still let the gameplay be intact (ala Clayton). Especially with the huge work the character needed for the attacks and such, as Nomura once said.

Only Baymax out of six main characters in BH6. Not even Hiro, the actual MC, is a party member
Rapunzel, the only female Disney party member, is taken out after the story for that world ends.

Job well done Osaka. Much hype. So glad they focused time and energy on these specific world choices so that we could get the best possible experience out of our Disney visits.

Rapunzel not returning once you beat the world does make sense, but at the same time it's a video game so it's weird they would go with a realistic approach like that. I hope there's a really good reason why she can't return, I think in the TV show she regains it anyway.

Elsa and Anna not having any representation is kinda a bummer, like Elsa has ice powers. I guess it's cool that Snowball is a party member, and seems to take place of 2 in one . I guess we only have seen so much gameplay, so I don't know if the Frozen part is even true yet. We see a cutscene of Elsa killing a heartless with ice.

Look, I'm fine with you being overly critical of the game. It's healthy to keep this community in check and realistic. This, however, I felt a need to comment on for some reason.

1. I mean, he is a character? Like, objectively a character. Elsa would have been cool, but I WAY prefer her cool snowman bodyguard over her as a creative choice. This is the coolest option they could have chosen to surprise us, and he looks like a fun addition to the world. The last part's just my opinion, however.
2. A HUGE portion of Hiro's fighting in the movie is behind Baymax. He's there for his brains and because he's the leader of the group, not because he has a special superpower or suit his own. I'm fine with Baymax, he looks fun. No use complaining about not having 6 god damn party members to me, honestly. Again, my opinion. Some people really love these characters and wanted to see every single one as a party member, but I'm not really into that. Good for you, though.
3. I mean, it REALLY wouldn't make sense for her to continue being a party member in this universe. They would have either had to remove one of the most heartbreaking scenes in the movie ENTIRELY for her to keep her hair or have Xehanort kidnap her, with the second option leaving her out of the world anyways. I don't see how they could have gotten around this without severely compromising Disney's story. And, no, I don't think going the route of the new Disney cartoon would have made it better.

I'll go into a little bit of detail with Tangled, and here's why: Tangled is my favorite Disney movie ever made. It's beautiful, I believe the romance in it is the best romance in any Disney movie to date, and it really tugs on my heartstrings with both the warm, inviting aesthetics and the beautiful music. Giving Rapunzel her hair back in the animated show ruined the emotion that came with losing it in the first place. She had to lose her identity, the only way she could heal Eugene, in order to stop Mother Gothel from terrorizing her anymore. The fact that she didn't have her hair was a big point of tension, especially since she wasn't the one that made the decision to cut it off, but the man that loved her's decision.

To give her the power of her hair again would actually upset me as a fan of the narrative of this movie. It sucks that I won't be able to have her as a party member anymore, but that's worth not compromising the emotion that these two characters have between each other. I'm not even kidding, my wedding is probably going to be tangled theme because I love these two characters so much. As long as the game tries to do them justice, I'm more than satisfied.

I'll give Osaka this: I think this is easily going to be their best KH game yet. The most immersive levels, the best keyblade design, EASILY the best combat, etc. I can't muster up any hate for something that's already doing a LOT of new things for Kingdom Hearts, especially since I disliked the command deck system so much and was aching for the menu to appear in a game again. Every time I see gameplay from this leaker it looks better and better, and I mean that. Again, though, my opinion.

At least, as a manifestation of her desire to be left alone, Marshmallow is an extension of Elsa, allowing her to still contribute to the fight through him. He’s her muscle in the film, so it makes sense for it to be the same in the game. I also love his little post credits scene where he becomes the new Queen of the Ice Palace, so I’m here for seeing more Marshmallow.

I definitely think they should have kept Rapunzel as a party member. They just needed to change her moveset. After reading Grono’s post, he’s swayed me that it is for the best to still have her lose her hair and leave it that way. It’s too important to the film and having it grow back would lessen the emotional impact of that event. I just think they should have kept her on to show that she is still capable of defending herself without her hair.

That being said, Marshmallow appears to only be a party member during the post game inside the Battlegates, so it’s possible that Rapunzel will work the same way. Those are supposed to be in a sort of warped reality, so she could have her hair in those. That way, Rapunzel could still get in on the fights without impacting the story’s integrity.

Big Hero 6, I’m not sure about yet. I think it’s still possible the other members will join in as guests in the story, so having just Baymax makes sense to leave the second spot open for whomever.

The Japanese twitter account is counting down to Kingdom Hearts III's release. Yesterday was the first day, and they shared an image of the True Org XIII, because it was XIII days until the game released. You can follow along with it in the Countdown Thread in the main KHIII section.

Each day between now and the Japanese release, there will be some sort of KH3 announcement. The first one was basically an announcement of the announcements, so the first real one for XII Days should be coming in a few hours. The XIII Days post was made at 4am Eastern time, so probably around then.
