I guess it makes sense? You felt a sense of pure rush and adrenaline when seeing a new spoiler, and after you feel a bit guilty. You are "whacking your keyblade " I guess you could say.

My suspension of disbelief covers a lot, but this specific instance of Union X storyline annoys me to no end. Their Keyblade Legacy is that Marluxia and Larxene, per Lauriam and Elrena, were survivors of the Age of Fairytales and the destruction of the original world along with Ventus. How Demyx and Luxord are also survivors of that era is... frustrating.

Maybe we're forgetting anything? Mmmm, so we have 4 members of Organization XIII who were from KHUX timeline: Marluxia, Larxene, Demyx and Luxord. Xemnas' statement seems to imply he knows they are from the past.
MX: he does not come from KHUX timeline, so it's impossible he knows everything unless he was told or he got information from someone.
Vexen: he seems to be a double-agent and he seems to be from actual timeline. We can discard him.
Saïx: he was seen as a teenager with Lea during BbS events. He can be discarded.
Vanitas: he is a part of Ventus, so MX might have gained information from him based on his memories (Vanitas and Ventus share emotions; it's possible they share memories too).
YX: he is MX's younger self. Nothing else to say.
Xigbar: i can see him coming from KHUX timeline and plotting with MX to achieve his personal goals. His relationship with MX is never explained so i wouldn't be surprised if he's a Dandelion

Hey guys? I caved a little, but after the clip I saw I felt satisfied and wanted to give my thoughts. Then I'll go back to ignoring everything.

"No, no no! Not one more step. Get out!" Is everything I could have ever wanted. I obviously don't know how others feel (and won't for a while since I won't be checking back here out of fear or other leaks,) but something I've wanted since forever is seeing the serious characters acting more like normal human people, especially since the baddies can feel a little one-note. So seeing Ansem trying to take care of a situation without being all DARKNESS about it at first was both humorous and very refreshing. This one line makes me excited for how the rest of the writing goes. Like, even if it turns out a lot of what happens are really bad and stupid, I feel the we'll get a lot of good scenes.

These leaks are freaking amazing. I died laughing when Aqua got hit with that Hadouken for some reason lol. That music is beyond epic though. Shimomura really did the damn thing. And what the hell is that gayblade im confused

LMAO, the writing for Aqua's scenario is sooo much worse than I thought it was gonna be! Why in GODS NAME, doesn't she have her Keyblade in that scene? I swear I'm gonna be done if it's revealed she got rid of it herself just so that Sora can come save her later in the plot, when she was already going to be saved by Riku and Mickey. The writers legit did just want to needlessly padd out her situation to keep her out of the plot. I can't even be happy that she steps up to Vanitas and puts him down (like I was always hoping she would) because I know she loses in the end. And to make matters worse, it's a direct result of her earlier situation that writers forced her into. Ugh.

I'm willing to bet Roxas is only going to be relevent for that one battle before being shafted along with everyone else. Litterally brought back, not even playable, and the poof. Gone again. 5 years of waiting, just for that. That's my prediction, and I'm willing to bet money on it at this point.

Edit: Also, do you think Vanitas' diolouge where he constantly refers to Ventus as his brother, may semi validate my old theory about the future of their relationship?

Yeah, it's like they just keep piling on the BS with her and, well, everything.

She doesn't use magic against Ansem SoD despite that being her forte. She's knocked out for no other reason than the fact that she was kind of a petty nuisance to him and he figured why not. He didn't even come there for her even knowing she has the key to unlocking Ven's resting place in LoD. Did the writers actually forget that's supposed to be a big deal to the True Organization? It's like only Vanitas even cares about this. Sloppy.

Then we see her in LoD with Sora doing something she would never do (putting her friend at risk just so she can prove she's strong to somebody else), and she draws a barrier around herself so that SDG can't interfere.

Is this some LoD-specific ability because otherwise why wouldn't she just use that to protect herself and AtW in the Realm of Darkness? I mean if Sora can't get through it with a Keyblade, a royal wizard and Goofy's skull, that seems like a pretty useful and OP ability to just utilize for this one convenient plot point.

Either way, they just keep setting her up to fail without any good or interesting reasons to back up these choices from a narrative standpoint. She's not going to get an arc or any character development out of being Anti-fied, there was no reason to do that aside from forcing her out of the rest of the story between that cutscene and the boss fight with Sora. It's a pretty flimsy pretense for a plot. And now it seems like all the cutscenes have this sort of weightless, cheap quality to them. The Organization members are reduced to performing slapstick comedy in the Disney worlds-- is this what Nomura meant when he said KH3 would be funny? Really? Jack Sparrow uses his bad breath to knock out Luxord? Funny.

It's too bad that KH3 is finally a parody of itself. Ansem SoD (just the arch nemesis of the first game, nobody important though) beats a full-fledged Keyblade Master without so much as breaking a sweat, and is then summarily outmatched by the Scooby Doo trio and some Dusks. All the characters are now making meta commentaries on the tropes of the series and that's supposed to be clever, but these are the kinds of amateur hour tactics a poor storyteller uses to deflect criticism while declining to improve the actual quality of their writing. By making the characters "in on the joke" and feigning self-awareness, Nomura et al seek to preempt the audience's objections towards the execution of the material on the merits of its readily admitted fatuousness. KH3 could have been a lot more than a compendium of meme-worthy banalities, but it seems that occasionally awkward yet always hard-earned sense of earnestness that kept the drama in previous installments intact has been reduced to boring gags which the writers (and too many of the actors) do not have the comedic chops to land.

And then the drama is just weak. Sora shows up to summon the gayblade with Riku. That's nice, it's fanservice. And then Sora basically tells Riku to diddly off so he can show him how to be a real main character, and to make sure the glorified Disney mascot doesn't get in his way either. Great, excellent use of set-up there, we just saw how unstoppable Sora and Riku are as a team and that is immediately shut down for absolutely no good reason. This decision will certainly help make it that much more cuttingly emotional down the line when Riku comes to Sora's defense and possibly gets captured/"killed" trying to bring him back to his senses after he's shattered from the loss of not!Namine. You know. The one who isn't Xion either. No, it's not Aqua...

Well KH games have never exactly been well known for their "Masterful writing". It has always been dumb and thats what I like about it.

KH has had its share of awkward moments and cringe humor, but it always seemed like a fault of the writers for trying to use it to underscore some otherwise resonant theme or character moment, whereas this new iteration in style seems to have given up on maintaining any coherence between characters and the dramatic and comedic elements. If the Organization members are going to be treated as this unthreatening, there's no reason to feel invested in any pathos stemming from the consequences of their actions down the line, which makes the whole narrative seem tonally warped. Edgy over-the-top endgame Sora is going to have an even harder time being convincing now, though I'm thinking it might remain as unintentionally hilarious as it already is.

So, just want to discuss a few things about the 'Seats' of The Organization:

So, since previous interview suggests that the seats have been planned out, things lean toward fixed seats except for members without seats switching with members that have seats being the only possibility of seat switching. In DDD, the positions are:
I. Master Xehanort
II. Xemans
III. Ansem
IV: Xigbar
VII: Saix
XII: Young Xehanort
In the latest leak, we see Marluxia, Larxene, Demyx, and Luxord on the same side in this order which is apparently the Xemnas' side of the circle/round, suggesting that they and the missing pillar in between Xemnas and Marluxia (presumably Xigbar's) are the Even Seats. These would be VI. VIII, X, and XII, but XII was already occupied and from a point of view, it seems like they are on the Odd Side instead of the Even side, leading the positions to be VII, IX, XI, and XIII. But, VII is already taken and XIII is clearly not theirs.

So, what do you think is going on with their Seats? Even their heights do not match the DDD Scene either.

Given what we do know about Marluxia's presumed counterpart, I would think that V, VII, and XI are all valid number for him.

And, another thing about Nobody Subordinates:

So, there is a spread of the artbook that shows Marluxia's Subordinate Nobody, presumably Larxene's Subordinate Nobody, and Arendelle and Kingdom of Corona's Hearless bosses. Do anyone know the Nobodies' names? I'm pretty sure that Larxene's has a consensus of Ninja, but what about Marluxia's?
Do you think Vexen's will appear too? He only commanded Dusks in one of the leaks. Would have liked to see Lexeaus and Zexion's in some capacity.

Going back to seat, another leak shows that Vexen's seat is apparently next to Saix's which would be either V or IX. We also know that either Vexen or the replica(s) take on what was originally Demyx's role.

Re-Watching the DDD Scene again, I noticed that Young Xehanort's seat might not have been properly shown, but I have seen it being treated as the XII's seat for quite some time. Weirdly enough, in the final final sequence where they disappear. Xemans' seat and Ansem's seat are even and odd respectively. Xigbar's is also even. But, Saix's seems to be even as well in this scene despite jumping from the odd side before he unhooded himself and Young Xehanort's seat in this sequence seems to be from the odd side.

Seat IX, XI, and XII are the seats that the owners are not shown in the gathering scene in DDD as they were in the audience's perspective(, but this was before Saix's unhooding).

If Saix's is somehow on the even side and Young Xehanort's is on the odd side, that would change things a bit. Young Xehanort's seat can only be one of the threes unshown (IX, Xi, or XII). If there is no change, Young Xehanort's seat would have to be XII, so that the four can take V, VII, IX, and XI. However, that would also kind of does not fit with Xemnas and the pillar in-between from the leak (even if Saix takes the Even Side's Seat.

The perspectives of the seats started to confuse me as to what angle each shot is from, but Saix's disappearance scene seems to be from the XIII Seat where Lea and Sora were at when they clashed, so that might be another angle.

I haven't read any of the plot spoilers since they burst onto the scene a day or two ago. This thread isn't as fun when I have to scroll past 80% of it.

I don't even know why I'm trying to avoid plot spoilers. I've never thought too highly of the plot. But . . . it's just over a week away at this point. I think I can wait. I think . . .
