Ladies, the only Star Wars reference I want to see in this thread is confirmation that Ahsoka arrives dual wielding and shows this cast of bantha fodder how to get a job done.

Yeah, I'll be interested to see if the franchise survives after this. I do not see KH3 pulling in a lot of new fans. I think people may play it for the novelty of it, but after this? The series doesn't really have any mandate to go on, the X stuff is divisive at best and moving it from a resource-light mobile game that makes its money on super competitive whales who don't care about the plot or characters to a full console title is not a guaranteed success. I know Square is gonna try, and godspeed. But based on what we've seen, I have a feeling that KH3 is not going to make the case a lot of people think it's making to a general audience, or even to longtime fans.
FF9 is great though I just slightly prefer FF6 and FFTactic's over it.
Spoiler ShowYen Sid showed up, and "Riku Replica" may actually actually the possessed Riku from KH1.
No wonder.
Spoiler ShowThe everyone dying thing was bad enough that the game itself rewound it to add in ya boi terra
All of this. They are seriously rushing all the emotional scenes.
No wonder.

Does that mean more time travel and/or realm of sleep shenanigans?
I'm not going to actually watch the spoilers / leaks.
So does this mean the "everyone dies because they act stupid as Jar Jar Binks"-part is the one taking place in the "canyon" part of the Graveyard while the "now Terra shows up"-part is the one taking place in the ruins?
And does Yen Sid actually DO something?
Wat?

Spoiler ShowI dunno how, but after Cloud World, everyone's revived to right before Terranort, and before he could do his thang with smacking Ven, YA BOI LINGERING WILL shows up.
Spoiler ShowYEN SID MY MAN SINCE WHEN DO YOU DO ANYTHING. Biggest plot twist in KH3.
So Kairi helped Sora survive, somehow, and he managed to rewind time? Why does everyone act like they remember dying when Ven and Aqua have the exact same lines afterwards? Unless only Sora remembers and I just got that wrong. But if Sora remembers, then why doesn't he say anything to stop things from going the same way? That was a very confusing scene, tbh.
But I liked Terra's hero moment, so I'm not complaining that much.

I guess that might be the "Key to return hearts" or the "power of awakening" at work but the whole thing seems to be "difficult to grasp" just like Nomura stated way back then.
Well, if Terra-Xehanort came in waltzing like a Juggernaut I can see at least why Ven would freeze since he never saw Terra-Xehanort before nor knows that Terra is in Xehanort's grasp so the enemy getting the drop on him would make sense, but not for everyone else especially Aqua.
The Lingering Will showing up to save Ventus was something that was actually theorized by multiple people across the net, lol.
I guess this is the scene with the dark chains from the trailers then?

Spoiler ShowWhat happens is that the GoL show up at the Keyblade Graveyard and Terranort's there, with Terra's regular appearance. Ven runs up to him, Aqua runs after Ven to stop him. Implication is that she never bothered to tell Ven what happened to Terra prior to heading into the big battle because apparently it's not need-to-know information. Anyway, Terranort reveals himself and strikes Ven, Aqua gasps a bunch but does nothing, everyone stands around doing nothing while Terra attacks various characters. Eventually Donald decides to be useful and fries him with flare magic, but then the Demon Tide shows up and the GoL go back to doing nothing while they get swept away one by one until it's just Sora and Riku left. Riku dies protecting Sora, Sora dies because he gave up ten seconds into the fight and was literally just sitting there.
Cut to chess between Eraqus and YX. YX checkmates Eraqus, Eraqus says he still has a move left, moves Sora's piece back to his side of the board, and a bunch of pieces with the same star symbol (probably the Foretellers) appear. Eraqus says, "Some light comes from the past."
Sora wakes up in the Sky/Cloud themed world, revealed to be "The Final World" and is told by Chirithy that he has to piece himself back together because he got blown to smithereens by the darkness. Presumably he also pieces everyone else back together in the process, because the next video posted shows Sora reuniting with Kairi in some dark vacuum and they fly away together. Kairi tells Sora, "The rest are up ahead." They arrive back at the Keyblade Graveyard and all the dead GoL are alive again. The scene with Terranort plays out exactly the same as before except before he can strike Ven, Lingering Will jumps in and blocks him. Lingering Will speaks with Terra's voice saying he's "waited for this moment." The two of them fight while the other Guardians continue doing nothing, just like before, so I guess the only way they could have won in this scenario is with LW there to save them. Why he didn't show up the first time is anyone's guess.
Anyway I'm not sure what happens to LW and Terranort after that (I think they go to finish their fight offscreen), but eventually the demon tides show up like before. The GoL are still useless so Sora decides to take on the whole swarm himself and as he's about to jump in a white light appears and Ephemer's inside of it. Ephemer asks if Sora needs some help and then all the Keyblades from the Graveyard start flying around. Sora hitches a ride on one of them and the names of all the people who won the Union X contest appear on the screen. Pressing triangle causes the Keyblades to attack with Sora and take out the swarm. The other GoL do nothing.
After that it seems like things are going good but OOPS Riku SoD shows up. It's confirmed that this is evil KH1 Riku, Xigbar's also there and he says some stuff then goes away. KH1 Riku summons a massive shadow that looks like Master Xehanort (the one seen in the Final Battle trailer) but it ultimately just becomes another swarm of Shadows. More Demon Tides show up. GoL do nothing. Mickey considers using time magic to give them a chance to escape but Riku tells him to save his strength. Yen Sid drops down from the heavens and uses his magic to open a pathway for them. Donald and Goofy say they'll stay behind to back up Yen Sid. The GoL go on to the next stage.
It's actually even worse than it sounds, imo. Like the specifics of how things are framed and play out is pretty ridiculous. The part with the Keyblades and the Ux stuff is OK, they make it seem like a big deal but then everything just resets to "the heroes are in danger! in the exact same way they were before!" so I don't really see the point of it.
