In Kingdom Hearts Unchained X[chi], explore Disney worlds and progress through their story with "Quests". From these Quests, you can obtain LUX, medals and materials to strengthen your Avatar and Keyblade.

Avatar (アバター): Your existence in this game.
LUX Level (ルクスレベル): Accumulate LUX through Quests and Raid Bosses to LUX Level Up.
Avatar Board (アバターボード): You will receive Avatar Boards through leveling up and events. Use Avatar Coins on the board to increases your stats and unlock avatar parts.
Quest (クエスト): Investigate worlds and defeat enemies.
Raid Boss (レイドボス): An obstacle to new quests. Defeat it together with your comrades.
Draw (ドロー): Use Jewel and Friend Points to obtain medals.
Medal (メダル): Use them in battles. Strengthen them through fusions and rank ups.
Material (素材): Use to strengthen Keyblades. Obtainable from Quests and Challenge Rewards.
Keyblade (キーブレード): A key-shaped weapon used in battles. Strengthen it with materials to bring more power to your medals.
Party (パーティー): Form a party with other players to help out each other.

Basic Controls
- Tap the Menu and icons on your screen to select them.
- To move your character, tap the your desired location on your screen. You can press and hold to move as well.
- You can tap characters to have a conversation, and treasure chests to open it.

Basic Parameters
AP: Used to participate in Quests and Raid Boss battles. Each AP takes 3 minutes to recover. You can use Jewels to fully restore your AP.
LUX (ルクス): Obtained when attempting Quests and Raid Boss battles. Accumulate LUX to LUX Level Up.
LUX Level (ルクスレベル): When you level up, your AP will be fully restored. You can also receive rewards like Avatar Boards and Avatar Coins.
Jewel (ジュエル): Used to obtain medals through "Draw", and other purposes like increasing your medal inventory, reattempt Quests, etc. They are obtainable through the shop, quest rewards, and log-in bonuses.
Munny (マニー): Used for medal fusions and rank ups. Obtainable by defeating enemies and selling of medals and materials.
Avatar Coin (アバターコイン): Used to unlock slots on the Avatar Board. Obtainable through leveling up and clearing challenges.
*There are certain medals with "Skills". These skills can be leveled up through repeating battles which will increase their activation rates.

Starting a Quest

Clearing a Quest
The Quest is cleared by defeating the Target Enemy. LUX, Munny, materials and Avatar Coins obtained from the Quest will be rewarded. Jewels and Munny will be rewarded every 5 Quests completed, and Orichalcum will be rewarded every 25 Quests completed.

Besides the Target Enemy, there are 3 Challenges in each Quest. Clearing them will earn you Avatar Coins and Mythril Shards.

Attack
In battle, each medal you have equipped (inclusive of Partner Medal) is equivalent to 1 attack. After your turn, it will be the enemy's turn to attack.

Single Target Attack: Tap the screen to attack a single enemy.
Multi Target Attack: Flick to attack all enemies at once. Damage output is lower than a single attack.

Ability
To activate a medal's ability, flick it towards the middle of the screen. Each ability requires a certain amount of Ability Gauge. The type and effect of ability depends on the medal.

Type
Each enemy and medal has their own individual type.

Power: Strong against Speed. Weak against Magic.
Speed: Strong against Magic. Weak against Power.
Magic: Strong against Power. Weak against Speed.

Raid Boss
As you proceed through Quests, a "Raid Boss" may appear to block off new quests. Though they are extremely powerful, you can earn lot of LUX depending on your damage output. Also, each Raid Boss has one or more "parts". Destroying a part earns you a free turn.

If you are unable to defeat a boss within the first battle, a Support Request will be sent to your party members and other players for assistance. They will receive rewards relevant to their contribution.

What's a Keyblade?
A "Keyblade" is a weapon Players use to fight Heartless. It can be strengthened through materials. The stronger it becomes, the more medals you can equip on it to give you a more advantageous position in battle.
From your Home Screen or Main Menu, select Equipment to customize your Keyblade.

Further on in your Quests, you will receive more Keyblades. Flick sideways on your Equipment screen to switch them.

Equipping Medals
Equip medals to your Keyblade to increase your Attack and Defense. Tap "Edit Medals" (メダル編集) and drag the medals to the slots.

Strengthening Keyblades
Strenghten Keyblades through materials to increase the bonus effects. As they become stronger, you can equip more medals on it, and the Ability Gauge will increase as well. Select "Keyblade Strengthening" (キーブレード強化) in your Equipment screen and tap "Strengthen" (強化) when you have the necessary materials.

What's a Medal?

Set "Medals" onto the Keyblade to determine its Attack and Defense. Each medal also has its own Ability. You can obtain medals by drawing in the shop, and through Quests. Medals have 6 levels of rarity (indicated by the number of ☆), the higher the rarity the stronger the stats.

What's a Party?
Enter a party to cooperate with other players to progress the game.

You can chat with your party members through Party Talk. Also, your party members' ongoing Quests and Raid Boss battles will be displayed and you can earn more Friend Points than using non-party members.

Create a Party
In the Main Menu, select Others (その他) then Party (パーティー) to go to the Party menu.
Select Create Party (パーティー作成) to form your own party. Decide on your own party's name, activity rate, acceptance method, and PR message.

If the acceptance method is Automatic (自動承認), other players will automatically enter your party when they send a request. Under Permission Based (承認制), go to Management (管理) in your Party menu to view the list of applicants.

Join a Party

Select Enter Party (パーティー加入) in the Party menu to display a list of parties that are recruiting members. Filter your searches by activity rate and/or party rank and tap Send Request (申請する) to submit a request to join that party.

If you want to leave your party, select Management (管理) in the Party menu, and Exit (脱退). If you are the leader, you will need to delegate your leadership to be able to exit.
To delegate leadership, select Check Members (メンバー確認) in the Party menu, tap the member you want to pass your leadership to, and select Delegate Leadership (リーダー交代).

Party Talk

In the Home Screen, tap the speech bubble icon to access Party Talk where you can converse with your party members through instant messages and stamps.
Enter your message or stamp and select Send "送信".

If you obtain a ☆6 medal, it can be used as a stamp.

Raise Draw
On the Shop screen, tap Raise Draw (レイズドロー) to participate in it to gain rare medals. Jewels are needed in a Raise Draw.

Friend Draw
On the Shop screen, tap Friend Draw () to participate in it to gain regular medals. Friend Points are needed in a Friend Draw. To earn them, select a Partner Medal when attempting Quests for both parties to receive Friend Points. They are also rewarded as log-in bonuses.

Shop Functions
Purchase Jewels (ジュエル購入): Use real cash to purchase jewels
Expand Medal Capacity (メダル所持数拡張): Use jewels to increase the maximum capacity for medals
Sell Medals (メダル売却): Sell your unneeded medals for Munny. Medals attached to Keyblades and Favorites cannot be sold.
Sell Materials (素材売却): Sell your unneeded materials for Munny. Select the amount of material you want to sell.

1) Under Menu, select the last option "その他".
2) The middle right option "引き継ぎ".
3) OK
4) Bottom option "規約に同意して登録".
5) Select an option for you to upload your data to. There is Twitter, Google, Facebook and mixi.
6) After you logged in, there will be a screen asking you to enter your email address. Then select "認証".
7) Go to that email to find a email from Square Enix Bridge with a link for you to click to authenticate your registration.


If you need to retrieve this data when using the app on a different device,
1) Select "データ引き継ぎ画面" then "データ引き継ぎ" in the first menu, the one you see after the opening when you start up the app.
2) Select the proxy you chose to upload your data to. Twitter, Google, Facebook, mixi.
3) Enter your account information and you should be able to log-in successfully to your original account.

Recommended Quests for Looting

Mythril Stone: Quest 25
Mythril Gem: Quest 24
Mythril Crystal: Quest 41
Cheshire Cat: Quest 63
Merlin: Quest 158
Fairy Godmother, Yen Sid: Quest 174

EXP: Quest 57
- You must have 2 pieces of Level 1 6*Wakka/KHI Riku. If possible, 2 Wakkas since he has a lower damage multiplier.
- Equip them on the first 2 slots of any Keyblade besides Treasure Trove.
- Set a single-target multi hit Speed medal on the 3rd to be able to defeat the target enemy within 1 turn.
- 1100~1500 EXP per run if both Wakka/Riku are Level 1 for 6AP. This amount is lower if they are higher than level 1 and if you are using Riku.

This is the only best method. There is no other quick way to grind EXP besides Raid Boss.

I've got a Selphie medal that's got this shiny effect around it. I can't use it to synthesize, any idea what this means?

In the main plaza, tap anywhere in the screen (as long as it is not the buttons or avatar icon) to open the party menu.
There will be 3 options:
- Create a Party
- Join a Party
- Management

Under Create Party,
- Key in your desired party name at the top (14 character limit)
- Choose the activity rate of your party: Very Active (がっつり), Somewhat Active (そこそこ), Relaxing (のんびり)
- Next select the acceptance method: Automatic (自動承認), Permission (承認制), No Acceptance (受け取らない)
Automatic means other players can simply select your party and enter automatically.
For Permission, the party request will show up in the leader's management screen where he can go to to accept/decline.
No acceptance means the party will be on an invite basis only.
- The last box is for you to type a message (20 characters limit). It can be something to attract certain players, or represent the party style you want.


Under Join Party,
- The 4 blue tabs are: Activity Rate, Party Rank, Acceptance Method, No. of Members. For filter purposes. The red tab is to search. Without any filters, you can use the red tab as a refresh button as well.
- You can see the descriptions for parties below. The message box on the left. Number of members, Activity Rate, Acceptance method on the right.
If the method is 承認制, the party you select will show up in your Management screen. You can retract your invitation there if you want.
- When you press the red button to automatically enter/request for invite, you can send a message to the leader (20 character limit).


Once in a party, go to the small message balloon in the top right corner of your main plaza to access your party chat. It is very similar to Line where you can send instant messages and stamps.

I should explain Avatar Boards as well.

Through quests, and probably something else in the future, you will earn Avatar coins.
You can access the Avatar Board from the 4th option in your Menu, or 3rd bottom left button in your main plaza.

You unlock new Avatar Boards by levelling.

Every time you reached the required level, you will receive a new male & female avatar board. Inside each avatar board, you can use your avatar coins to increase deck cost, AP, HP, and gain the avatar parts in the board.

So it seems that the female and male boards aren't limiting in their abilities like AP. I got AP from both the male and female board, I think? I like this system

Also the ID system! Thankfully they fixed this from Chi, where it was hard to find people...

In addition does anyone know if getting the 3000 saving up for it is more efficient? I think FFRK does something similar since u are guaranteed 5 stars.

And now there's another message, something to do with twitter too that won't let me join. Would this happen to be actually an maintenance?

Edit - It seems they're trying to fix the whole problem where that message keeps popping up due to server problems, hopefully they'll manage to fix it. I'm guessing they're not fully aware of the problem, thus there isn't a estimated time of the server coming back up.
