Nothing is ETERNAL!

But even if MX is on another league (like he surely is against TAV, maybe even SRK), to get a compliment from him means that she is CAPABLE in universe. She obviously isn't Master level but what does fhat even mean? Sora and Terra are both Master tier or even Grandmaster.

My thoughts after seeing the cutscenes...

There is significantly less story than I expected. It looks like they just took what was originally planned to be the beginning of the next game and cut-pasted it here.

Kairi being one of the other two is somewhat surprising for me. It seems to mean that my theory of Yozora being partially Vanitas is wrong, and instead Yozora is somehow connected to Sora himself. But then, where does his red eye come from? Also, I was hoping there would be some interaction between Riku and Ven coming in near future (since if Yozora is partially Vanitas, then Ven is one of the other two), but now it isn't going to happen.

On the other hand, Nameless Star being the other one was expected. The interesting thing is that she is said to from that fictional world, but at the same time Nomura's statement about her being a well-known character basically confirms that she is Skuld. This means the Dandelions have somehow ended up on the other side. Of course we already know Luxord is there, and considering that Lauriam and Elrena haven't shown up after their recompletion, it would make sense for them to be there as well.

So, what is going on? There is the educated guess that the Masterplan included creating some sort of utopia after the final prophecy had become true. If so, the Dandelions were supposed to be in that utopia now. But Sora's messing with time caused the final prophecy to unhappen and cancelled the creation of this utopia. And the Yozora stuff of course is originally from that cancelled game. So, my guess is, these fictional worlds are worlds that were meant to become real at some point, but were prevented from doing so.

Regardless of how you all think it played out; I think it set the stage perfectly for what's to come from all sides, and it's no doubt going to make Act 2 very entertaining once everyone is able to fight alongside.

But the sad thing is, that's one of the best and longest fight scenes we've ever gotten in the series. But apparently it still isn't enough. Whatever, Nomura. <_<

Assuming they WILL be able to fight alongside. Remember, SRK have never been together for a fricken fight, in gameplay or in canon, and even now the girl is being shunned away. The absolute state

I mean if wildly swinging your keyblade at someone who's just dodging it with ease, while smiling and laughing at every failed attempt from the other person on hitting him, then even at plenty of points grabbing the blade like it was nothing and lifting the other person up like they're some pet or something when they could use that time to just flat out destroy her..... if that's one of the best scenes in the series, then I don't wanna know what the worst ones are.... lol.

I think the worst thing about this story that is important is you have to play through the entire game just to unlock. It's like one heck of a reward, will be cool seeing all the reactions to it.

She isn't being shunned; she just knows she needs to get better, and with Aqua, she'll be more skilled considering she knows the ins and outs of the Keyblade unlike Merlin.

It will happen in due time; quit letting negativity cloud your ability to never give up hope.

The recoded fight between Data Sora and Riku is leagues better. It’s more grounded and the choreography is clean.

Never liked this cut content talk, everything can be considered cut content when we're talking about a ongoing story between game instalments.

CoM can be considered cut content from KH1, Days cut content from 2, Coded also cut content from 2. I've even seen people say DDD is cut content from KH3. And now Re:Mind was cut content from 3, and now this is cut content from Re:Mind.

I don’t think I can defend Kairi anymore

I like her but after this my relationship with her is just Neutral, and why hinting more Riku stuff? The Noctis wannabe is bland now he can’t handle a game on his on, I hope his game is shared and not just him solo... I need a rest from all of this mess.

edit: I’m ok with Riku but all this hype was about Kairi... about a game that features Kairi with Riku tagging along and possibly sharing 50% of the game with her

I do like that Xehanort finally acknowledged Yen Sid. I wanted to see how they met in Dark Road so at least MoM laid out a foundation

You'll probably get a rest untill 2022 (just stop following UX and DR for an even bigger impact). In 2022 you'll miss all of this.

You know, I'll give you an unpopular opinion, but the situation with Kairi is not as bad as it might seem from the leaks. No seriously Master Xehanort is very strong and unlike KH3, she at least tried to fight him. Do you seriously think she could beat him? It would be as silly and ridiculous as Sakura from Naruto defeating Madara in 6 paths.
There must be a balance of power. And don't think about Sora from KH1 or Aqua or Kairi from Re: Mind. Ansem Seaker of Darkness is clearly much weaker than Master Xehanort, Aqua Master Keyblade, and in Re: Mind Kairi was helped by Sora, who is on par with Xehanort, the strongest character in the series.

Would be cool if Sephiroth was a fight, but I guess we can keep dreaming. Kinda weird that have One Winged Angel, a perfect opportunity to include him but just don't. You also have to unlock the song with a lot of points to even get it.

When I read the spoilers yesterday I got a really bad impression on the story, but now I think it's not that bad. At least now Kairi was the main focus. She did state she is going to be next to Sora and Riku and that was all I wanted. I see her S L O W L Y becoming an important character - not enough for her to be as important as Sora and Riku but at least I can expect to see her fighting and appearing to help in the future.

She transforming into sora was really dumb, like, why? I get she found her strenght in him, but couldn't just be the keyblade appearing in her hands and SHE FIGHTING?

Still didn't watch the epilogue tho

Watched most of the new cutscenes and, tbh it wasn't as bad as I expected. I'm still upset at some of these story decisions, but I've already made peace with what I just saw. Plus we still have two more unannounced KH projects being worked on so it's not like it's gonna be too long to find out how the story is gonna continue on from there.

Also, I'm still fine with dropping $60 for this. This has about as much replay value, if not more, than I'd say Mario Kart even if that's a racing game and not a rhythm game and Mario Kart almost never drops full price. I've been down this road before, lol.

It's weird. The more I read the reasons why some of you dislike the story, the more I think those reasons are why I am gonna like it. Some people seem to complain about stuff I definitely wanted them to do.
I guess it's a matter of different taste or different plot interest.
