Limit Cut question

As far as I can tell, there's no way of leveling or collecting synthesis items/leveling in Re Mind itself, but Re Mind clear data is needed to access Limit Cut. So if I reach Limit Cut, but decide to go back and gain some levels to make the fights easier, I would have to do that in a different save, then play through the entirety of Re Mind again on that save to access Limit Cut with my improved stats. Is that correct?

In other words, you should already have everything you need for Limit Cut when you start Re Mind, because you can only grind on a pre-Re Mind save and you can only access Limit Cut from a post-Re Mind save. Right?

When loading your save (Re Mind or Limit Cut) pressing X takes you into the DLC while pressing Square takes you into the main game itself. You can press square, go level up, then save and quit to the title screen and load up the DLC and any levels or equipment you attained will carry over to where you left off.
