Curiosity is just a rover. That'd be some crazy shit if humans were on Mars right now. ;pWait wtf. How come I didn't know about this?!
While I may how no interest in science anymore, I always dreamed of being able to go to Mars. It's one of my favorite planets. So you guys are saying actual humans landed on Mars then? It wasn't just some rover? How long ago did they leave? I need deets man!

So this thing only took a year to get to Mars?
About 8 months, so almost a year.
Also, that thing was traveling at nearly 5 km/s on its descent to Mars (upper atmosphere). Damn.
Interesting, think of the potential resources that can be mined and brought back as such travel becomes streamlined. A great opportunity awaits us here.
