I'd just like to point out that one of the members of the Jury is now saying "We felt sick to our stomachs after voting on a non guilty verdict" and "We don't believe she is innocent" so it seems even they believe they made the wrong choice now and are regretting what they did.

If you're not innocent the you have to be guilty. It's one or the other. How can there be a middle ground in this? How in the world do we ever get justice for Caylee if we don't convict someone?

There is no "innocent" verdict, a jury isn't asked to determine whether the defendant is factually innocent, they give a verdict based on what they saw in the trial, it's the prosecution's job to make a convincing case by meeting the burden of proof beyond a reasonable doubt.

I can't believe how many people are screaming that our justice system is flawed. Of course we could never produce a perfect justice system, so it is flawed. So many people are taking the justice system for granted here. Consider how many rights you're given when you are charged with a crime. The right to an attorney, even if you can't afford one. The right to be judged in--this is me here-- probably the most unbiased way possible, by a jury of peers. The right to appeal. The list goes on.

Of course bad people go free sometimes. It's going to happen and it sucks. But look at the other side. Look at people who are framed for murder or any other heinous crime. Look at the people who are wrongly accused who are fairly judged and saved by the rights that were provided to them. Think of the innocent lives that would be lost if you took even one of those rights away because you thought it was flawed. You set bad people free, but you save innocent people as well.

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Ben is right, if you would give up any of the rights that are provided to you, just so you can sleep soundly at night knowing that some woman out there may have killed her child. Then you don't deserve that right or the safety.

That's why I don't understand Memory Master, who is so religious and believes so deeply in God and the Christian views, that he thinks Anthony should be severely punished and killed. When, according to him, she's just going to spend eternity in hell burning forever. Is that not enough? Jesus. Like the being punished and/or killed would even begin to compare to what awaits her in his hell. Like it would matter whether she was punished in real life. Because God would know, and there she would reap her reward.

Humans cannot be filled with love on their hearts; they must have a balance between hate and love, good and evil in their heart. Jesus said that the only way to rise to the Promised Land, your heart would have to be balanced and that same balance cannot be upset. Only if we are calm on the inside, may we reach to the Paradise.

And MM isn't full of hate, he's just forgetting humans weren't meant to punish rulebreakers; God is. Humans are meant to abide to rules.
