I Just finished Once Upon A Time, and gothel is a plant type creature, and she got turned into a a plant type Heartless in KH3, was that on purpose?

Gothel is based on the Spring Sprite in Fantasia 2000 in Once Upon a Time. The KH3 Heartless just uses themes of that world
