My theory of why NOT KH2:FM+ will come

What if what they put into advertisements don't come back to them in sales?

Advertisement always comes back in sale.
Especially for a product like this.

Agreed. Everyone likes free stuff, but, it's highly probable that the cost of advertising won't cover the cost of production.

That may be true for some games but Kh is a major selling item the cost of production (in my opinion.) wont even come close to the amount made over selling it. I know People simply Dying for the COM game and having a Remade Kh2 with it I think it will do fine.

The xbox DID sell.
It was just so expensive to make that how much it sell didn't yield a profit :/

It's a proven fact. Advertising yields in sale. Because if you advertise, people learn and acknowledge your product, increasing sales chances.

You also forgot
KH is a major franchise in both Japan, Europe, and North America.
The original Xbox I can't say the same for...

dude there is literally not reason for F:M not to come here, there is no "were sorry japan that America got some new stuff" everything was the same in both versions. both versions got the one extra boss fight sephiroth, that is only cool until you beat him, then the coolness turns to suck. square-enix should be saying sorry to America and japan. hell they don't even need translate the text, just give it too us, its already voiced in english .

In JP KH2:
- the Hydra bleeds green blood.
-Will Turner has a scene that he points a gun to his head
-Jack Sparrow has a scene where he has the sword stabbed into him.
- The pirates in Port Royal have guns, not crossbows.
- Xigbar has an actual crosshair, not some mock-up like the American KH2

oh yeah, i read about translations before...its a complicated process. i can totally understand that, one thing can mean something in japan but here it could be offensive or anarchist(seriously!!! i read that before).

^Okay. In the Japan version, when Sora cuts off the Hydra's head, the Hydra bleeds green like in the movie. Also in the Japan version, Xigbar's crosshair actually looks like a sniper rifle's crosshair. And also the pirate's guns looked like actual muskets instead of crossbows.

*Edit* Dogenzaka, pretty much summed up all the changes. I didn't know about the Will Turner and Jack Sparrow changes though.

Agreed, I miss worded my argument: What if they sell it here and it doesn't cover the cost of production, wouldn't that lead to a net loss and deficit for square, whose stocks aren't the strongest at the moment.

I'll use the book analogy again: You purchase the metamorphosis by kafka, a year later the metamorphosis has a new version, precisely two resource/response essays in it. Would you go out and buy that new version for the essays?

oh man thats messed up, but the thing is i would have kept it in. why? because the game got teen anyway! because of 2 things that were not in the game, blood and alcohol lol. if it had those things it would still be teen lol.
