IF Naruto didn't have the Kuybbi, then the village of the leaf would be destroyed because the Kuybbi would still be wandering around. So I don't see why he is so useless >_>

Try paying attention when you read the manga.

The reason he is able to sustain the Kuybbi's chakara is because of his own high chakara level. So hell no he is not usuless.

The manga is not complete. Don't make assumptions like that. I don't want to have to point out the exact chapter, but if you must.....

Naruto is just a punk kid who thinks hes good at being a ninja

Its just pathetic...hes so cocky too

But hes not really all worthless...He does have the main part of the story

but as far as his personality goes .. Well..lets leave it at that

Ok up until a certain point in the story he is pretty useless with out Kyubi but where I am in the manga he is awesome. he is smarter stronger and in right now in the process of getting even more powerful so my answer is that Naruto isnt useless

oh MAN, i so agree. i used to never mind naruto at all, but now he is SO ANNOYING. he thinks he better then sasuke, and he kinda has this 'its all about me' vibe, i mean he's not concieted or anything, i know i sound like i'm saying he's stuck up but no thats not what i mean. i'm having trouble describing but it something along the lines of just...'recless' but reckless as in a rude kind of reckless. it annoys me, whatever it is he's doing.

i think naruto is totaly awesome. so i must disagree
first off i totally love this person!!! naruto is soo cool! but what everybody has to realize ios that naruto is the kyuubi and the byuubi is naruto! so they can't live without one another, so naruto is not useless because he saved the village from the kyuubi and it is he who uses the kyuubi's power....

...Do any of you actually read the manga? NARUTO TALKED ABOUT THIS I forget who said this, most likely it was Iruka, or maybe Kakashi, but they said "Even without kyuubi, you're a great ninja. Dedicated and stubborn." Or something similar. <.<

There's a reason why Naruto's managed to contain Kyuubi, and to survive this long. Without Kyuubi, Naruto would still be a great ninja. Saying Naruto is useless without Kyubii is like saying Itachi is useless without his sharingan, that Sasuke is useless without his sharingan, that Rock Lee is useless without Taijutsu, that Gaara is useless without sand. Those are the things that make them individuals, if they were born different, they'd still be great Ninja.

Naruto isn't wise, and he can be annoying (especially to you people who watch the anime, which is total (bad word!) only the manga is good) But that's Naruto. Naruto isn't wise, he isn't too bright, he's pretty jealous. What makes him so special, what makes him the hero of the story? His dedication. That's why without Kyuubi, he'd still be a great ninja.

True heroes have faults. True heroes are human.

I know it says "some" of the Kyuubi's charka slips in but if you consider how much charka the Kyuubi has, that "some" is actually alot.

Even without Kyuubi, Naruto still has a higher chakra level than average. Kakashi admitted that Naruto probably has more than him. Kyuubi just helps Naruto keep using certain jutsus for longer amount of time, and to use special Kyuubi justus.

That, and I call your BS. Naruto has trouble controlling chakra due to the activity of Kyuubi's chakra. His chakra clashes with Kyuubis, that means he has enough chakra to fight against Kyuubis when it does slip out. As far as we know, Naruto has enough Chakra to be stronger than Kyuubi's 3-tail chakra form. He loses control at 4-tail, meaning Kyuubi's chakra takes over. So, since the last time Naruto used 4-tail form, Naruto could control 3-tailed kyuubi. If Naruto increased his chakra control/level, he could control himself at 4-tail form or higher. You want proof? I use your own picture. It says that Naruto's chakra cannot mix with Kyuubis, yet Naruto can use his own Chakra. That is why Kyuubi's chakra takes over as Naruto loses power, it's fighting less against the kyuubi's chakra.

As Naruto gains more power, the more chakra Kyuubi can attempt to use to take over Naruto, which is why Yamato has to help Naruto. That still means that Naruto is very strong, it took the entire village of Konoha to hold off the Kyuubi, and it took the Hokage's life in order to seal it, not defeat it. He's only 14, if he reaches jounin level, he'd probably surpass the 4th's level by then.

What was that about calling my BS? The rest of your post is irrelevant seeing as how it was based on this one point. "Naruto has trouble controlling chakra due to the activity of Kyuubi's chakra."
Jiraiya fixed the problem long ago so whatever charka Naruto is using, is mostly the Kyuubi's.

Then explain why Naruto can use chakra when yamato is holding back Kyuubi's chakra. In volume 1, Naruto creates 1000 kage no bushin without any Kyuubi chakra. At the current time in the manga, Naruto can make over 1,000 kage no bushin and have them cut a leaf purely with their chakra, all while yamato is holding back Kyuubi's chakra. Not even Kakashi can maintain 1,000 flesh-and-blood kage no bushin for that long.

Even after Jiraiya unseals it, Naruto doesn't have open access to Kyuubi's chakra. Explain that as well.

I think your assumption is wrong. Naruto got angry which is usually when he asks for the Kyuubi's power. Back in volume 1, I think it would be safe to assume he was indeed using the Kyuubi's charka

Damn, you got me there. There's no point in me defending but I'll say that Naruto was 'useless' earlier in the series.
It's rather strange how he is able to summon over 1,000 kage no bushin in the the current volume yet, he has always called upon the Kyuubi in the past.

Ah, but the eyes. Before he reached tail-forms, his eyes still changed. No fox-eyes then.

If you notice, it sometimes depends. It's only extreme anger, or dire need. Against Haku, Naruto used Kyuubi to avenge Sasuke. Plus, he was likely to die if there was no Kyuubi power there. In the forest of death, Sasuke was likely to be killed by Orochimaru, again, dire need and anger. During the chuunin exams, fighting against Gaara, dire need. See the pattern? Just as Jiraiya said, it was to protect Naruto and to keep Kyuubi inside. Naruto simply had enough will-power to sometimes bring out Kyuubi when his life wasn't necessarily endangered.

At first, Naruto certainly was weak, yes, but dedicated. That dedication has made him the great ninja he is in the current volumes. That's shown in Naruto's schooling, he was inexperienced and stupid at first, but now he's off fighting Akatsuki members!

I don't think I see your point. I can't recall a match where Naruto has fought (besides against Kiba) without some help from the Kyuubi.

It's my fault for assuming Naruto was an average person. Now, any average person's ability would decline when they are cut off from something (I don't know a better word) they are been using to benefit that ability for an extended period of time.
I guess Naruto is no average person, seeing as how he does not go though withdrawls but instead, he actually gets stronger.

>_>. I'm sure Naruto asked the Kyuubi for power each time.

I don't remember him using Kyuubi against Neji, but I may be mistaken.

Naruto doesn't enter the 'Kyuubi Chamber' of his mind until Volume 11, when Jiraiya pushes him off the cliff. He asks Kyuubi for the power and he thus summons "Gama-bunta"

Before that, it naturally came out.

He does use Kyuubi against Neji. But not loads of it. Only at the point when all his chakara holes were plugged.

And what I mean to prove is, Jiraya (I think) says that the only reason the Naruto is able to contain the Kyuubi is because of his own power. But, I forget which volume it's in..... :(
