Wow, It's been awhile since I last posted a story here huh? almost a whole year. But anyways I'm back with a brand new story I've been working on It's another Naruto story (Mainly because I've been re-watching the original series again) anyways here's the first 3 chapters of my new story.

This is not the Naruto we know this is set in a universe where Naruto and Sasuke both noticed and returned the affections of both Sakura and Hinata this story starts shortly after Team Seven returns from the Land of Waves. (meaning it won't follow canon down to the last detail if this doesn't bother you then by all means continue reading!)
“You don't have to watch from afar Sakura†Sasuke said as he was in the middle of his daily training. “S-Sorry Sasuke. It's just that I didn't want to get in the way.†Sakura said brushing her hair back as she stepped forward towards Sasuke.
“That kid Haku. He made me realize that I need to get stronger.†Sasuke said with a sigh as he thought about the fight and him almost dying at the hands, not only that he was wondering how Naruto of all people was able to defeat the masked ninja. “I think your very strong as it is Sasuke. I think Naruto just got lucky when defeating him†Sakura said as she put down a box that was wrapped up.
“Is that lunch?†Sasuke said as he looked down at it Sakura responded with a nod as she unwrapped it. “I had my mom make it. I'm not all that good at cooking†Sakura said with a nervous laugh.
“You didn't have to do that Sakura. I know that you rather dislike asking your mom to do things for you†Sasuke said as he started to eat some of it. “I Know but it's the least I could do. It's not like I'm all that good for anything else I didn't even help on the last mission. All I did was cry.†Sakura said as she fiddled around with her chopsticks.
“Sakura, that's not true you kept Tazuna safe from harm while me and that idiot and Kakashi fought Zabuza and Haku†Sasuke said as he put down his chopsticks and placed a hand on her head and gently ruffled her hair. “If you wasn't there we would've been worrying about not only the fight but also protecting Tazuna.†Sasuke said as he then moved his hand and gently poked her in the forehead.
“So don't say your useless. Because your not.†Sasuke said as he went back to eating “Sasuke!†Sakura said with her eyes full of tears she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him causing the two to fall off of the log they was sitting at. Sasuke wrapped his arms around her as he returned her kiss.
Meanwhile at the Naruto resident a certain knucklehead Ninja was waking up to start his day
In recent days Naruto has not been alone at his household as Hinata often escapes from the Hyuga clan house to visit. You could say Naruto's house as become Hinata's second home.
“Man, Hinata I thought that Ichiraku was the best Ramen but yours is right up there with it!†Naruto said as he was slurping down his breakfast. Hinata was face was bright red from the compliment. “Th-Thank you Naruto†Hinata said softly as she was washing dishes.
Upon further inspection of the Naruto household, a lot of Hinata's things was scattered about. Books, clothes (No they haven't done that yet. It's Hinata even living with Naruto has proven a challenge to her. She sleeps on a cot a short distance away from Naruto's bed, even though there a couple they haven't even kissed yet.) and various accessories.
“After breakfast is training and then Kakashi-Sensei told us to meet him for something, who really knows†Naruto said as he leaned back in his chair as he looked around his house. “Man, this place is really clean.†Naruto said (finally) noticing how spotless his house was it was normally very messy. “I-I hope you don't mind while you was gone I-i cleaned up some†Hinata said with a smile.
“I don't mind Hinata. I like having you here it's normally very quite with just me so having you around is great.†Naruto said with a smile of his own as he bounced up from his chair, which fell over as he did. “Time for some training want to join me Hinata?†Naruto said as he made his way towards the door. “I-I'd like that. B-but I might just get in the way.†Hinata said as she looked down at the floor and started to fiddle with her fingers.
“that kinda talk again?†Naruto said with a frown on his face as he placed his hands on his hips. “Hinata your never in my way! “ Naruto said as he grabbed her hand as he gently tugged her along. “So come on! I'll even show you some of my cool and super awesome techniques!†Naruto said as he opened up the door and the duo left the house.
Chapter 2
While on several little mission the previous day Kakashi received a summons from the Third Hokage it was to make an announcement that the Chunin Exams was coming up and he gave Kakashi and the other new Sensei the chance to enter there team into the exam. Much to the surprise of the more experienced team leaders and Iruka who strongly advised against it.
Kakashi however made the argument that he thought the group was ready for the exams and told Iruka to mind his own business.
We pick up as Kakashi had called Team Seven to meet him so he could give them the papers needed for the exams. Naturally he was late.
“Why is he always so late?†Naruto said annoyed as he paced back and forth. “Every time he tells us to meet him early and we show up early! But he's hours late!†Naruto said putting his fist forward.
“I rushed here so fast t I didn't have a chance to eat Hinata's cooking!†Naruto said with a frown. “Naruto would you please be quite it's bad enough we have to wait here in this heat but to listening to whine about it makes it worse†Sakura said who was almost annoyed as Naruto was.
“I've got more important things to do then wait around here†Sasuke said as he tapped his foot he was standing next to Sakura who was leaning on him. “He could teach me a million Jutsu and I'd never forgive him! Believe it!†Naruto angrily said before Kakashi appeared.
“Hi Guys.†he nonchalantly said “YOUR LATE!†Sakura and Naruto said at the same time. “Sorry, I had some stuff I had to attend to. Anyways here†Kakashi said as he handed each of them a piece of paper “What's this?†Sakura said looking at it.
“It's just a piece of paper†Naruto said staring blankly at it. “Read what's written on it you idiot†Sasuke said having just got done reading his own. “Hm? Chunin Exams?†Naruto said tilting his head in confusion
“That's right, I've recommended the three of you for the Chunin Selection exams that are to be held in a couple of days from now†Kakashi said as he was examining the three of them wondering if he made the right call. He knew that Sasuke and Naruto could handle themselves during it but he wasn't so sure Sakura had the same the same amount of drive the two boys did. He let out an annoyed sigh as he looked at the dopey grin on Naruto's face. “Heck yeah! Chunin Exams I'm gonna stomp everyone that shows up! It's just one more step in becoming Hokage!†Naruto said as he was getting excited and was about to rush off to train before being stopped by Kakashi.
“Hold on there. Before you go I want the three of you to know something the dangers you face during the exams are real. You'll need to work together to make it far as possible.†Kakashi said as he was smiling underneath his mask. “You don't have to worry Kakashi. Just leave it to me I'll make sure we pass†Sasuke said with a smirk before Naruto angrily turned to face him “I Don't need your help! I've gotten a lot stronger since are last mission Believe it!†Naruto shouted loudly.
“You are so annoying!†Sakura said smacking Naruto on the back of the head. “Sakura, Lets go†Sasuke remarked as the team would start to walk away from each other leaving Kakashi there rubbing the back of his head. “Well, I tried it's up to them now†Kakashi thought to himself before disappearing.

Chapter 3
“Man, the Chunin exams.†Sakura said to herself as she was in her room looking up at the ceiling. “How am I gonna last against all those tough guys? I barely know any Ninjutsu. Even Naruto knows more than I do†Sakura said before turning over in her bed looking at the picture of Team 7 taken on there first day together.
“OH! I GOT IT!†Sakura said as she sat up and smiled as she quickly rushed out of the room. A couple of minutes later at Sasuke's house.
“You want to what?†Sasuke said as he gave a confused looked at Sakura. “You heard me I want to learn the Jutsu that you used back during our bell session with Kakashi-Sensei!†Sakura said with a smile
“Sakura, I appreciate that you want to make yourself not a burden to me and Naruto but. Learning Fire Style Fireball Jutsu isn't really suited for you†Sasuke said bluntly causing Sakura to become depressed. “I Do have an ideal though. Why don't you try practicing Genjutsu? Kakashi mentioned you scoring high in the tests for it right?†Sasuke said giving her a pat on the shoulder to cheer her up.
“That's right I had almost forgotten that.†Sakura said quickly bouncing out of her depression. “But, I doubt I could learn anything quickly since the exams are in a day†Sakura muttered to herself. “Hey, come on with your smartness and chakara control you should be able to master one quickly†Sasuke said with a smile while giving her a gentle poke to the forehead.
Causing Sakura to blush greatly as she started to walk off “And Sakura I know you don't really want to compete in the Chunin Exams so thank you†Sasuke said to her as he went back to his training. Sakura took a deep breath and giggled a little before she ran off to the training field
“Man, Hinata your getting better at using your Byaku whatever†Naruto said as he was exhausted as he had been training with Hinata. “Th-Thank you Naruto.†Hinata said as she took a deep breath and stood up. “But it's still not enough.†Hinata as she activated it once again. “All Right! That's what I'm talking about!†Naruto said bouncing up and creating more Shadow Clones. “Let's do this!â€
“Well I'll be I never thought I'd see Hinata training so hard.†a voice said who had been watching Naruto and Hinata train. “He tends to have that effect on people. Kurenai†Kakashi said showing behind her. “Kakashi... She's almost like a different person around him. “Kurenai said with a proud smile. “They do make a charming couple don't they? Two failure's finding strength in each other†Kakashi said with a chuckle of his own.
“Indeed they are. Do you have any ideal how long this has been going on?†Kurenai questioned Kakashi “According to Lord Third. Since they was very young. “Kakashi said as he pulled out his book to read. “But I'm afraid that relationship as well as Sakura's might come to and end during the exam†Kakashi thought to himself.
Meanwhile back at Sasuke's place he gets an unexpected visitor.
“What a cute girl you've found for yourself†A familiar voice to Sasuke said causing him to drop the Shuriken he was holding in shock. “What are you doing here? Brother!?†Sasuke said as he charged at his brother with a Kunai in his hand before the image of his brother disappeared. “A Clone?†Sasuke said looking around for the real one.
“More like an illusion. Sasuke, I've come to warn you drop out of the exams†Itachi said looking at his brother. “YOU'VE GOT NO RIGHT IN TELLING ME WHAT TO DO†Sasuke shouted at him throwing a Kunai at his brother again but like last time the image of Itachi vanished “Little brother. There is a great evil lurking in this exam. I'm warning you for you and that girl's sake†Itachi's voice echoed,
“What the hell are you talking about!? If you do anything to Sakura I swear!†Sasuke growled as he looked around with his Sharingan activated this time. “So, he can activate it†Itachi thought to himself. “An evil is lurking in the form of a snake. He will cause you great harm little brother. Weather you head my words or not is up to you†Itachi said as his voice started to fade.
“Shut up and Show yourself!†Sasuke shouted to the voice before hearing Itachi chuckle “Don't worry little brother we'll meet again in person very soon†“Tch, Same old Itachi.†Sasuke said with a huff as he tried to calm himself down.
“Did you tell him?†Kisame said as Itachi opened his eyes as they duo was far away from Leaf Village at the moment. “Yes, Weather he listens or not remains to be seen†Itachi said with a smile. “Did something happen?†Kisame remarked
“Nothing, I enjoyed seeing my little brother and his girlfriend even if it was for a moment†Itachi said as he got u from where he was sitting. “Now lets continue we're still quite away from that place†Itachi said to Kisame who stood up and the duo started to walk off.
