I haven’t posted in forever, but frequently come here to see if there are any KH4 or KH:ML updates. I know so many people have been stuck thinking that the BoP is in the black box. Maybe we’re thinking about it the wrong way. There are several different parts to my theory, so I’ll try and explain everything thoroughly.
First off, what made me come up with this theory is Xigbar’s/Luxu’s KH3 character file. He mentions “time” on multiple occasions, and has us questioning how time actually flows in the game. He then brings up the fact that people think they know what the black box is/does, but that knowing is different from understanding.
Well here’s my new understanding. The “black box” is the real BoP, which contains the entire history of the KH universe. The BoP isn’t just inside the black box, it’s the black box itself. There’s a really good reason why no one should open it.
I did a Google search awhile ago for the “block universe theory”, and this is a snippet of it:
If Luxu or anyone else opened the box, who knows what would happen to the entire KH universe. An apocalypse, maybe? But it’d make sense why the BoP/“black box” could foretell events—because all events—past, present, future—are recorded by it.
I’m just not sure why there are 13 keyholes around the box, so if anyone has a theory on that—feel free to chime in.
By the way- sorry if my theory is slightly confusing, but the more I think about it…the more I think I’m right. Hopefully KH4 is released soon so we can know for sure.
