She would tell Strelitzia, "This spiky-haired cuteboy is mine (points at Sora), but you can keep the other one (points at Ven)", and then everybody is happy.

Now, if we really want to get her involved in a catfight, we need more mischievous and dangerous opponent. I recently stumbled upon a hilarious piece of fan art. Unfortunately, I don't think linking to that kind of content is allowed, but it is Yuffie telling Sora to "Think of this as an adventure" while riding his... well, you know what I mean. I think that would be a bit too much even for Kairi.

I've never been able to understand why Ventus and Strelitzia got shipped together so often. Ven killed her, right? Or watched her die and took her place. Sure he regretted it but who wouldn't? I dunno, I've just never been able to understand why the two of them were such a popular pairing.

I've seen more content for StrelVen than any other Strelitzia ship I believe, maybe other then Player/Strelitzia? I've never understood why out of all the possible Strelitiza pairings I see that one so much. Also so I can wrap my head around why they get shipped together, can you explain why you like them?

I guess that is true, or at least was until the trailer made Sora/Strelitzia a thing. I just don't see it as common, because there is so little fan content about UX characters in general.

This is a surprisingly hard question, but I'll try.

I think the most important part is simply, we have the two cutest characters in the series, both without a patrner, so why not put them together? It may also involve a bit of protest against all the nonsensical pairings involving Ven (with Vanitas, Aqua, Terra, or Naminé). Or maybe I was subconsciously detecting a connection? As I said, I now believe that the Master of Masters had a plan for them. It follows from the idea that Sora's existence, or at least his involvement in the story, is a result of someone changing the future (basically, think what changes if there is no Sora). I've been actually trying to debunk this idea, because at first it seemed too good to be true, but I keep finding more evidence that supports it instead.

A lousy boss, because Strelitzia has (at least) three years of experince as a wielder, while Kairi is still basically a rookie.
Or is it so? Strelitzia has been fighting only heartless, while Kairi's experience is mostly sparring with human opponents. Also, Kairi does have access to Sora Form, as we saw in Melody of Memory final bossfight...

I came across this fic the other day and thought of this thread.

Review: The set up is hilarious. The author navigated the pure madness of a competitive dating sim concept in a light and funny way. I particularly liked the introduction of the contestants and the characters they choose to romance in the Verum Cor game. The endgame twists were a little too sappy for my taste, but I love how the author plays around with favorite fanfic tropes. I recommend the read for a good laugh and multi-shipping joy.

“So let’s bring ‘em on up! You all know this first cool cat: bring the house down for Vanitas!”

Thunderous applause broke through the arena as the lights came up fully now. The bookies’ favourite strode purposefully into the centre. His diminutive stature was often overlooked because his force of personality was simply so large. With wild and spiky raven locks and curiously amber eyes, Vanitas was a veteran of the dangerous underground dating sim scene. He had been there during The Great Waifu War and lived to tell the tale.

(“A lot of good waifus were lost that day,” Vanitas would say to anyone who would listen, a haunted look in his eyes as he took a long drag on his berry vape. “I’ve seen some shit in my time, kid.”)

Rumours say that he had also been a key instigator of the Husbando Hostilities back in ’05, but there was no solid evidence for this and those who dared to suggest his involvement always ended up mysteriously disappearing into the shadows.

“It’s time to go big or go home; I will crush the competition!” he cackled almost maniacally, raising his hands in the air as he yelled, “I’m going for Larxene!”

On the big monitors above flashed the character in question, piercing eyes smirking at the audience. ‘Larxene: A savage nymph who scoffs at romance,’ the screen proclaimed. Difficulty: ★★★★★

“He’s going for it!” Demyx yelled excitedly, “Nothing but the highest difficulty for this seasoned pro!”

Summary: Gym AU. Riku is a personal trainer who thinks that aerobics classes are a waste of time. Sora is a Zumba instructor who just might make him reconsider his stance. And Kairi? She just wants the two of them to stop using Sora's Zumba classes as a form of foreplay and get together already.
Review: Zumba instructor is such a perfect job for Sora. The author describes his classes spectacularly well. You can feel the energy of the room. And Riku's awkwardness "dancing next to Kairi channelling Beyoncé" will make your day (or make you die from second-hand embarrassment). A must read, even if you don't ship Soriku, if only for the Kairi/Riku friendship. The Soriku dynamic is entirely about boys being competitive, or rather Riku getting stupidly competitive and prideful over nothing.

Understandable. Venvan are basically brothers, Vanitas calls them brothers and I’d guess Ventus feels the same about that. I don’t see a lot of SoVan, probably for the best though.

Yeah, that's exactly it. I'm also not the biggest fan of RikuShi/Rion, what with the Riku essentially coercing Xion into ending her life, even if he did give her some time, but something tells me he would've forced her if she decided to say no anyways.

How about you? Any other ships you don't like that much?

I think that RikuShi could work with time. That’s what fanfic is for. But as they stand now, it’s a big no for me.

As for my my least favorite ships, most vanitas ships. I just can’t see him being good with anyone. Other than with repliku, I love emo soriku
