I agree. I think it would be cool to see the villains the ancestors fought. Maybe an ancestor of carmelita also.

Really love the games. The second was just plain epic, and Honor Among Thieves was plain fun; albeit too short. I like this talk about fighting from the perspectives of past characters too. I always thought that Bently's little rant about a time machine in the end of Honor among Thieves was some foreshadowing to a time-traveling sequel. It'd be cool.

here is my idea for a new installment in the series
at the end of sly 3 Bentley says he's working to make a time machine, he succeeds in doing so, and it's taken by a band of sly's enemies from the previous games, and they have to go on a mission through time, actually visiting sly's ancestors, like Thaddeus Rioichi Slytankhamen Slaigh and have a huge adventure through the cooper past, and a high climax idea of the band or what's left of it, traveling to the night his father died, to force him to watch it again, but sly has a choice to make once he gets away, either save his father and in turn never meet bentley and murray, or turn away to let history goes as was

it is a battle of which sly game I like best, sly one was fun but it wasn't enough, so that's in 3rd, no 2 and 3 were awesome, all the twists in the storyline, new techniques and it's awesome getting to play as bentley and murray, but bentley was annoying to play as especially when u have to save sly and murray from the contessa, but Jean Bison was my favorite enemy due to his storyline and cuz he had the coolest level, when we go to the logging camp, but also sly 3 was amazing cuz bentley was improved in his fighting, it was sweet to play as panda king and the guru, and I luved the dog fighting and pirate ship battles, plus the storyline was sick especially cuz it had nothing to do with clockwork, and the coopervault was amazing,
so I have to say my favorit was sly3

Everyone has got to admit that sly 3 had an amazing storyline for it having nothing to do with Clockwork, nice twists, 4 cool features, dog fighting, pirate battles, playing as Carmelita, and playing as the new members of the group, panda king and The Guru

2 was WAY too easy. After I got all the clue bottles, it was 100% already.
That is a good theory but how do we even know that he would be able to help his father, and if he did interact with his ancestors it could affect his father which could affect Sly and (or) make it to where Sly was never born so how would that work thus make it to where Sly would never meet Murray or Bently to begin with.
I don't think that will happen but maybe something that has to do w/ the time machine,but I thought Sly pretended to lose his memories at the ending of Sly 3 (You know to trick Carmelita)
