That is a good theory but how do we even know that he would be able to help his father, and if he did interact with his ancestors it could affect his father which could affect Sly and (or) make it to where Sly was never born so how would that work thus make it to where Sly would never meet Murray or Bently to begin with.

it's a video game so anything can happen, the way I see it sly is the most accomplished thief of his clan cuz he not only gets away with amazing heists, but he is also a hero by stopping all these even worse criminals, to get to his goal, so who's to say sly's ancestors never had a rough battle at least once in their time, so he can help them,

and the way he can save his father is leave a warning to get away before the fiendish five come or something u know?

But we have not seen his ancestor's in action so how do we know he is the best theif.

well there is no mention to his ancestors doing what he did, never any mention of them taking down other thieves, or criminals to get a goal, just steal from them, see what I mean

I hope they make a fourth game, but I'd like it be a prequel, where Sly's dad is the playable character, and tell the events leading up to his death.

Sly 2 was quite simply EPIC WIN, but the Cooper Vault easily made three the most fun.

I agree with you on the prequel thing, I really want to know more about Sly's dad (whose name is apparently Conner) and what caused Dr. M to turn against him. I personally love the third game; then again I haven't been able to play the first in three years because it went missing; so my opinion just might change after I replay it.

2 was WAY too easy. After I got all the clue bottles, it was 100% already.

None of the games are hard.
But I found some of the sneaking missions involved lots of thinkning.

And the real only hard battle was General Tsao in Sly 3.

Sly 2 was the best game. Plot-wise, especially.

General Tsao was easy for me. I was able to beat him easily in both fights.(Atop the bamboo forest and inside it)

The top was easy. The bottom scared me. What with the flying dog-heads of death. And the dead-body hands.

General Tsao, general Tsao. Which fight was that? the one in the bamboo fields? Yeah I remember tthat fight. I got killed a couple times at the bottom. I loved the top fighting though. It was original.

Sly 2 was epic.
Specially the whole random bit in Canada of all places.....lmfao <3
Then the Contessa. I swear to GOD, I got fucking annoyed with her always escaping.
Not to mention that navigating through her worlds with all of those monsters was like being sent through an elevator straight to hell, then back.

I miss that Croc - Chick's world/fight from Sly 1.
Oh, and that bull dog's too.

The clue bottles there were hidden at their finest.
Not to mention that you actually earned /abilities/, even though some were shoddy, for collecting them all in a certain area.

I hatd the Generel Tsao fight in the forest. And don't remind me about that Contessa bitch, for some reason it took me like a month just to rescue Sly from the prison.

Contessa was one of my favorite worlds


and Whoever was Carmelita in Sly 2 was the best for me. 'Course that may have to do with Sly 2 being my Sly game.

I loved sly 2 10 out of 10
and 3 got it on the day it came out it was awesome but not as good as 2 9.0 out of 10

All of the Sly games are sick!!! I mean who doesn't love playing as a racoon and steal stuff, it's totally awsome! My favorite game was Sly 2: Band of Thieves because that was the first game you got to play as Bentley and Murray. I e-mailed Sucker Punch a few months ago and the person who e-mailed me back said they are working on a plot for Sly 4. Hoo-ray!! So we should see Sly 4 around 2011. BTW, The person who e-mailed me also said they're making a PSP Sly game. IDK if it's a new game or one of the old Sly games.

I must agree with the others, number 2 was my favourite, and yes, Carmelita's VA was the best in that, as well as her character all-up.

They seemed like more appropriate titles for the respective games.

Yeah that makes more sense, when in the 3rd one, you have a whole group considered to be a "band of theives."
