Do you believe that there are books out there that alot of people over analyze? if you do post which book and why

Just about any book they make you read in honors English. They will analyze every subtitle hint about ANYTHING they can find to the point its ridiculous. "And this represents this!" "And this character feels this because this!" "You can relate this to this!" "Deep down inside, the second meaning of this passage is!"

They kind of ruin the book itself.

It seems to me that Shakespeare is the most over-analyzed author in the English language. Honestly, did he even think of half the things that people "know" about his work? -.-

Yeah, basicly, that sums it up. My english teacher always analzes every little thing. she says herself "i like to pull quotes and pick them apart word for word." There is no way that that doesn't lead to some overanalizing. They tell you "every time an auther does this" blah blah blah, it means this. The writier probably didn't pick every single little detail scholars anylize in their books that supposedly always mean ______.
