Re: Piercing Light VS Bonechill

Name – Kodaka Izumi
Nickname – Koda/Daka
Age – 12
Gender – Mamale

Appearance –

A living contradiction. Many words and turn of phrases are certainly available in describing Kodaka, however the most concise and easiest would be a contradiction. Something that is entirely unexpected of an intended result. It is safe to assume that Kodaka is a normal twelve year old child with a healthy lifestyle and a bright future ahead of him. It would also be safe to assume that the above is a blatant lie. Koda stands at one hundred forty-seven point thirty-two centimeters, and has a thin frame. His jet black hair cascades downward in a chaotic frenzy as strands and layers are built upon each other feathered over his shoulders, a fringe is formed over his forehead but is parted to the left side of his face barely covering his left eye. He has a tanned complexion, one that indicates a near habitual sun-bathing routine even. His smile is devious and yet bright, his eyes are so gray that they appear white and can be very obvious against his dark hair and complexion. His features are boyish and typical of someone his age. He is well-fed with puffy cheeks and just the cutest smile you could ever witness. His pearly-whites are something only the purest of the pure could conjure up, as if the world’s problems can be dissolved in a kiss; if there is untainted innocent, it is in that smile. His hair falls below his chin but no further, he claims it is an annoyance to maintain hair like that but never expresses interest in cutting it.

Despite his stature he has a willowy gait, however it is one of authority and regality. As if he has plenty of experience looking down on people. His back is never slouched, his shoulders are rigid, and his arms are near akimbo. He has a nasty habit of gesticulating with his words but otherwise nothing else I gather. On top of his head sits a silly bunch of hair that stands on head, an ahoge, it comically reacts to his emotions half the time and the other time only serves as a reminder of his presence. He can be identified by his ahoge it seems. Kodaka is nothing impressive when it comes to fighting abilities, as expressed by his muscular structure. He is of a healthy standard but otherwise doesn’t seem to have a body fitted for extended combat, or even of normal everyday running. He almost looks sickly if you look at him long enough, as if he would crumble upon the slightest of brushes. Kodaka also has a habit of smiling a professional smile, experienced in the art of deception he has improved and honed his techniques to getting what he wants. Typically no one would suspect someone of his standing would be such a blatant liar, but then again; that’s where all the fun comes in.

His clothes are relatively standard but they don’t appear of the norm. They look as though they were homemade. He wears a long overcoat that falls down to his waist that is soft in quality and snow white in color. A ridiculous ensemble of straps and pockets adorn the coat, two at his sides, two at his chest, one at his lower back, and several buttons at his collar and cuffs. The collar is raised and covers his neck and necklace neatly, but leaves his entire face untouched. The pockets and straps respectively hold a black hue against the stark difference of the white backdrop. His hands are hidden within his sleeves but upon closer inspection a silver skull ring on his right ring finger is seen. He wears a black shirt underneath. As for bottoms they are much more standard and not as flamboyant as his top, they are black slacks with evidence of tearing and cuts upon them. He has outlandish light blue sneakers however with skull designs imprinted on there.

Personality –

Cold, indifferent, moody, unreadable, bright, happy-go-lucky, liar; these are words that can accurately depict Kodaka. But they all appear jumbled and incoherent. That’s exactly what he aims to become. Kodaka is a true cynic at heart, he has no interest in worldly desires or even normal social rituals and traditions. He finds the entire concept of friendship a terrible joke but loves the ideal of deception. He doesn’t believe people are inherently good or bad but are masks to conceal their true nature underneath, a liar. Kodaka expresses this by lying constantly and hiding his true personality. Of course, that is to say, he is particularly a hypocrite. He just hates how people fall into a boorish routine of living and dying socially. Everyone is concerned with their self-image in one way or another and even though he wears a mask to hide himself he is honest about that mask. Wearing a cute poker face often he says deliberately cute things in order to annoy people, but underneath he is painfully intelligent with eloquence freezing with cruelty.

Kodaka is an extreme example of why children should not play violent video games. Random violence and the prospect of spilt blood elates him. He enjoys history and often tries to explain the inevitable cycle that history seems to impose on everything. He is a known trickster and is not above blackmailing or any other form of extorting into getting what he wants. Despite his age he is openly honest about his intentions and loves to expose how nasty people really are on the inside, he loves to insult people and loves even more to make inappropriate comments on girls despite their age. He is an instigator and is often a spectator in most bouts, Kodaka dislikes getting his hands dirty and would much rather watch people destroy themselves then have him partake in the nasty activity. He is also a bit of a story-teller, he often sits down and explains things in depth to other people because he fears they wouldn’t understand him otherwise. Rather philosophical in nature he references popular media in whatever he says to get his point across, he despises naivety and would much rather tarnish those ignorant people of their unspoiled personas. When he gets rolling on an interesting topic there isn’t much stopping him. Kodaka is also a picky eater, often hating eating things like vegetables, red meat, seafood, anything sweet, anything sour, anything too dry, anything too runny, and all of the above.

Abilities –

Sovereign Disposition -

A conceptual ability that operates on a set of beliefs rather than rudimentary magical augmentative properties one may find in equally rudimentary people. Something that allows him to inflate his ego further and allow him to reign over people as easily as, for example, commanding others to bow before them. It breaks any sort of pretense of skill and ability, strength and fluidity, intelligence and cunning, speed and finesse, since everything before a king is inferior. It seemingly stems from the universal concept of the supreme rule; everything must prostrate before God. Breaking magic, physical attacks, mental attacks, spiritual attacks, or anything else that empowers other. Creating a myriad of energy infused with his nasty personality it yawns before him and elongates around him in a personal bubble that can be expanded or shrunk for his convenience. Anything entering this diameter will find themselves bowing before Kodaka, in a manner as completely natural as death and life.

Something simple as another inflated ego or something that can counteract this disposition would be nigh impossible to come across in this universe. As it cannot be broken by the will of men, it cannot be shaped and manipulated by the pull of magic, it cannot be intruded by the intangibility of a spiritual presence, it cannot be sealed even upon his death and it certainly cannot be stopped by him either. An overwhelming pressure of magic would be enough to temper its hold, yet, when considering magic, it can break even that as well. It can be physically overwhelmed by a warrior’s punch, yet, when considering the tangibility of fists and feet, it cannot be seen nor touched. Spiritual energy or even the energy of the universe wouldn’t be enough as all bends beyond this diameter. A veil concealing himself from everything.

Those that know of this ability can, however, disrupt its path. As flowing water can be shaped to form the figure of a bottle, so to can this infinite bubble. It is not yet as physical enough to stop a furious punch, it is nowhere near magical enough to stop a simple spell, it is not a spiritual medium so those experienced can stop it, and all that exists in the universe would be enough to overpower it. Yet, that also depends on the person themselves.

Attacking with worldly desires with make your fist slower, will make your magic impotent, make your spirits disperse. Clear your mind of all worldly desires and your sovereignty shall be revealed. To put it simply, it can stop anything and everything that enters that is not without doubt or sin.

Gravitational Disposition–

Before they attack, they read their opponent’s moves. Before anything ever happens something is being read and someone is reading. There is never a random path taken when attacking, everything is orderly and neat, everything is linear and coherent. The tension and looseness of one’s muscles, the conditionings of the earth below, even the exact manner in which moves are executed that can be communicated through someone’s eyes. This disposition allows Kodaka to see all of that in hindsight and react to that. It isn’t a manner of using energy to take someone down, but rather redirect the victim’s current energy back towards them to manipulate their bodies to attack themselves. This skill boosts the ideal of using one hundred percent ability and zero strength. A step forward would result in someone being thrown, a magical fireball will result in the fireball’s dispersion. Everything comes towards Kodaka yet is redirect immediately.

This isn’t to say this is a complete counter move either; Kodaka can even initiate combat using this ability. Anything that can be moved will be moved. It is a simple concept, there is no such thing as impenetrable or piercing in the eyes of Kodaka; everything will fall as it should. This skill, however, uses the power from the earth rather than one of his own interpersonal uses. Anything earth-bound cannot be reflected or redirected, and anything moving faster than his own eyes can react will not be seen and can pass this disposition.
The crucial component of this disposition is its method of stressing the importance of redirecting energy. If it isn’t done properly or with enough accuracy it will inevitably fail. Another problem with this is how it counteracts Sovereign Disposition, these two are polar opposites and only one may be active at the same time, and seeing the recharge time of either being activated, and on how much energy it depletes activating it, it is highly recommended against using this disposition.

Chromatic Disposition –

By adorning his body with a numerous amounts of colors that all have different status inflicting effects he can create this chromatic disposition. These are not really “colors” like ones of a spectrum of sorts, but they are variable and come in different hues so they are addressed as colors for a lack of a better term. There are only truly a few colors this ability can utilize. These colors allow him to do several different tasks but they all involve some sort of physical augmentation rather than a magical one. It is not operated by magic but rather extends the natural ability of the human body. It reroutes all of the energy the body uses and assigns them different tasks and to a greater extension unlocks the potential humans have. Like, for example, did you know that humans cannot exist if they do not consume one third of the air we breathe in? The other two thirds are wasted in other bodily functions or are expelled in other, admittedly, revolting features. But it also involves in making less movements. Humans have an annoying tendency to make useless movements, from the extravagant dragon punch to the simplistic walking motion. Energy is wasted when unnecessary movements are used. But by cutting down on those movements without losing the natural undulation the body creates he can literally make more with less.

This also extends to more unnatural uses. Some of the colors allows him to use his body more efficiently while others are armaments that coat his body in an infusion of biochemical energy and magical energy. It allows him to pierce the impenetrable, allows him to cut through the intangible, and most importantly it is pretty cool. These are heavy exaggerations of course but this armament does allow him to, say for example, punch right through a fireball brushing off most of the inflicted damage to the floor rather than to his fist. It isn’t that it protects him but it expels the potential danger from an attack to a different source. If you sit on a single nail, you are sure to hurt yourself however; a bed of nails lessens the damage. It is a concept like that but that isn’t the most important part. It makes his punches heavier and hurt more while allows him to make use of his power reserve.

Inquisitive Disposition –

This is his favorite disposition and the one active the majority of the time. This allows him to ignore the bigger picture and focus on minute details. This can naturally be achieved by being a real attentive person but no real human can concentrate on a single fact for far too long, it is against our nature and we will rebel at stagnation. But this frees up all of the distraction that may, or may not, occur and allow him to focus on the fine print, on the subtle details, the hidden meaning, whatever you may call it he can see it. But that isn’t an exactly impressive ability, but rather than being able to focus on it he is also able to examine it dutifully and sometimes obsessively. Conjuring up more facts that correlate to the object of interest he can also line up these facts in a neat manner to see how they connect. It isn’t something that can be described in words but action rather. He can see and memorize the subtlest of details and with his intellect be able to deduce a fact from it. It is great for parlor tricks and awesome for freaking people out, but most of it; it allows him to get dirt on people to use as blackmail.

Negative Disposition –

Something born from negativity itself and the abyss of chaos in its entirety. It has no form, no definition, no quantifiable substance that can be felt, measured, or accounted for. This allows him to reject all that is and all that isn’t; everything in which exists and everything nonexistent. This reality is a construct embodied by belief, logical fallacies, and humanity, all of those are created from the human perspective. Everything is as it is simply because we want it as it is. But the logical contradiction in that being we cannot exist without nothingness, but it can exist without us. By breaking those hearts and their beliefs it is quite easy to shatter reality. He doesn’t need cosmic-bending powers, simply the power to obliterate the belief of a heart. We are nothing but lumps of meat with no purpose and no indication of quality. We are measured by others and we reflect ourselves based upon what we see. But what if we cannot see anything? If we cannot hear, smell, taste, measure, imagine, or be affected by anything? Then we must cease to exist.

Once the heart is shattered either via tactile telepathic reconstruction or anything verbally, visually, or mind-bending revolting methods, their reality ceases to exist and it implodes upon itself as the person – as a result – will cease. This power also makes reality in its entirety conform to Kodaka’s will, everything is speculative then everything shall be mirrored off of Kodaka’s whim. Which, in turn, means anything is possible, the impossible would just be an archaic concept. But nothing lasts forever, if such a power is left unchecked; he may reject his existence or the existence of everything.

Keyblade Form A –

Indiscriminate Taxation –

A keyblade of a simplistic design. One of six feet long and at its basic form is a simple blunt object with nothing particularly interesting to it. It is a plain silver metallic gray club that at the handle wraps his hand neatly like a pathetic leather grip. It “teeth” are three worn down pieces of metal weakly protruding from the weapon, the thing is a burden to carry and even worse as a weapon as it is incredibly imbalanced. The weapon doesn’t appear to have a cutting edge or even a proper blunt part to hit someone with, it looks frail and bitterly disgusting. As if it would fall apart from a simple touch.

Ability –

From each swing, even if it remains stationary, the weapon becomes stronger. It is difficult to believe as the quality of the keyblade does not alter in any shape or form. But whenever it is drawn and whenever it connects to a target, it becomes stronger and sharper. The “teeth” become deadly sharp to the extent where a poke could puncture a lung. But this is a type of ability that builds upon itself, the longer the battle is the more dangerous the weapon becomes. It is also a great insulator for magic and can even absorb hits and transfer them over to pure curative magic. But once the weapon is sheathed the amount of damage it can do becomes zero instantly. Also it doesn’t work if it hits inanimate objects; the damage can increase but not as much as if it were a person or another weapon.

Keyblade Form B –

Thanatos–

A deathly black weapon that is an embodiment of fear and chaos. The weapon is as dark as midnight and has blood red teeth. It has a much longer reach than Taxation being at least seven feet long. It’s neck is spiked with gray little points appearing like fragments of bone. The end of the blade is curved into a ball with more spikes protruding from it and at the center of where the ball meets is a half-opened eye. Thanatos has the ability to create a personification of death surrounding Kodaka as a powerful spiritual pressure. It also has the ability to manifest murderous intent into a tangible substance and transform it into an interpersonal weapon that can be used to defend, attack, or augment his body further. It usually assumes the form of tendrils or a massive bubble shielding him.

Name: Sarah Bell A. Pepper
Nickname: Pepper
Age: 18

Appearance: Pepper stands at a height of five feet nine inches. Her hair is a dark emerald green, and is styled as such that it swoops around her face down to her shoulders, making her head resemble a ...green bell pepper. Her eyes have a color matching her hair, being a deep green. Her slanted eyes tend to be almost lifeless, and have a cold analytical glare to them. She has a small heart shaped face, subtle features to match, with a petite nose and thin lips. Arms and legs are slender, a matching counterpart to her slim figure. Her green eyes have an unnatural glow to them, and upon closer inspection neon grids can be seen weaved inside them.

Personality: After an incident that forced her to undergo an operation to become a cyborg Pepper's brain was damaged. It was healed, but at the cost of her emotions and past memory. People often believe that she's actually an android due to her complete lack of any enthusiasm, and she speaks in a monotone voice that sounds slightly synthesized. She relies on cold logic for any given situation, and has been known to choose rather heartless solutions to her problems. However there is an odd side to Pepper, since she has lost many memories she often comes across things she 'doesn't get' or that she finds 'illogical.' For example, the concept of 'fun' is an enigma to her as she finds it a waste of time and energy. Because of this she has a 'curious' streak, and often asks rather blunt questions when she does not understand something.

Ability: Pepper has control over the element of electricity, as well as control over electronics. She can drain power from a source of electricity, as well as charge an electronic device. She is able to use the electricity for a long ranged attack by charging it and letting it loose in an arc of energy, or charge a weapon and use it for close range combat. Using her technopath ability Pepper can communicate and connect with electronics. She can do things such as repair or gather information in this way. The maximum range she can connect with a device is 50 yards. Utilizing this ability Pepper effectively has what can be considered a secondary nervous system. Channeling the electricity in combination with the cybernetics inside her brain she is able to communicate to the muscles in her body, creating superhuman reaction timing. This also means it's nearly impossible to paralyze her, as her neural network is not constrained by messages sent through her spinal cord.

Much of Pepper's body is artificial, parts being replaced due to either necessity or convenience. Both her arms and legs are 100% artificial, composed firstly of an organic like material made to resemble the look and feel of flesh. While flexible, the artificial flesh is also strong, capable of withstanding tremendous forces without compromising, as well as exerting massive amounts of energy. The second material is actually an extremely dense layer of nanomachines, which appears as a covering of thick gunmetal armor resembling smooth chrome. This 'armor' is highly resistant to impact, extreme temperatures, cuts, and radiation. Through a connection via her electronic nervous system the nanomachines can be molded from their dense form to expand and create machinations. Conventional weapons such as swords and spears can be made, as well as more unconventional weapons such as hand cannons. Since there is no gunpowder to be used for ballistic weapons, Pepper uses a method more identical to a railgun. Using herself as the power supply hollow rounds composed of the nanomachines are accelerated along metal rails inside the created weapon.

Boredom wouldn’t come close to describing it. Asinine, tedious, prosaic, insipid, mundane, banal, take your pick; they all fit the mood rather well. Kodaka wasn’t the type to get bored so easily. Whether it would be abnormal escapades or a few mind-shattering techniques employed on the hoi polloi, he always had something to do. But, for a change, there was literally nothing that ventured his mind that registered fun.

The place was a mess, unkempt and akin to a tornado touch-down. A canvas of chaos yawned before him as bodies lay strewn throughout the environment, soaked in crimson death, while Kodaka remained untouched. The particularly bad habit he has is to take out his frustration on everyone.

He yawned and leaned back on his chair, a few women stood at his feet; literally at his beck and call.

“Man, this is boring,” said he, “Why can’t something interesting happen?”

His wicked eyes glinted with intelligence yet an infallible dullness. His harem calmly agreed, muttering consents to advocate his pleasantries. The child was by no means capable of garnering such a group of fashionable women, but, of course, all of his means are exquisitely abnormal.

Unsatisfied with the habitual idleness, he hopped off his chair and strode down the exaggerated steps. When he reached a certain distance from the women their eyes cleared, shaking their heads they seemed to have dismissed whatever had possessed them earlier.

The place was built like a throne room. Except for the dreary black and gray monochromatic motif, everything was elegant in design and value. Massive pillars stood here and there to support the gargantuan room, they were laced with glittering jewels of an impossible décor. The floor was carpeted with a lush material, otherworldly in quality and as a poetic may articulate; as soft as the heavens themselves. A chandelier made entirely of gold suspended high above, creating elusive shadows as the perspective changed with each of Kodaka’s steps. A place certainly fit for Midas, save the bloody scene. Dozens of felled warriors decorated the floor, the walls, and some even on the chandelier. A gruesome sight for those with weak constitutions, scores of them were disemboweled, twice more were relieved of their heads.

“A mere snack” Kodaka may describe smoothly. He had casually invaded this lovely slice of heaven and with the eagerness of a child at a candy store, “devoured” all of the humble denizens. But the elation passed quicker than a bowel movement, as boredom continued to damper his mood. His eyes which were iced with a callous nature quickly surveyed his next “meal”. He wished to have a better time elsewhere, if not, he could always bug the Izumi twins – they were entertaining, at the least.

Approaching the door he pushed it open with a single hand, causing both gateways to fling from their hinges with renewed vigor and flying into the distance. The grand city opened up to him. In an ironic twist such a castle with beautiful aesthetic value would be placed in the sprawling metropolis would be an insult to architects everywhere.

Wickedness colored his cheeks and evil wrapped in his smile as the entire castle behind him ignited suddenly in a hellish torrent of flames.

He slicked his dark hair back and grinned mysteriously, “I wonder if there are any more people out there who would like to play with me.”

"Kodaka Izumi..." Pepper spoke in a monotone voice, being heard by Kodaka from where she was standing, at least four yards away. Her cold eyes moved from the boy, to the burning building he left in his wake. It was clear he left no survivors behind. Without a hint of sympathy for the lives lost she turned her gaze back to Kodaka. "Izumi, you are under arrest." She said it as plainly as if she were talking about the weather. "Stand down and come peacefully, if you resist I am authorized to apprehend you with force." She stared blankly at him, awaiting a response. She did not expect him to come quietly, with his track record such a thing was highly improbable. She wondered what had caused this boy to become so... Violent. Does he take pleasure in his hostile actions? Is there some sort of goal he is trying to achieve? She just couldn't understand it, no matter the reason such behavior was illogical.

She decided to stop thinking about it, people's emotions were something that she figured she would never come to understand. Right now, all that was important was keeping order.

Kodaka tilted his head at the stranger. It wouldn't be shocking to say that Kodaka was amused by this person. She was certainly interesting and piqued his curiosity. Scratching the back of his head with utter disrespect of the authoritative person, he wore a bored and slightly annoyed expression.

"Tsk, I wanted something interesting to happen. I don't like vegetables, I don't think you would appease my appetite." he explained with a sigh. "But, it is weird how weak the polices' response is. I would have expected several tanks and the army to come by. I guess either they think you're enough-" he glared at her with a cruel smile, "-or they are just recycling their more useless 'weapons'."

He stepped forward, defiantly, and crossed his arms. "My theory is stuck on the latter, you're not even that hot; no way you're the best they can offer."

Kodaka then bent over and started searching the ground for something, "I guess it would be wrong for you just to arrest me without my reaction hm?" As he said this, he continued to comb the ground, "It wouldn't be right, according to some misguided sense of justice, or whatever. So, I guess I should fire the first shot."

Finally, he found what he was looking for and brandished a small stone. With a polite smile he glanced up at Pepper, "You know my name, maybe you should say yours, unless you want me to call you Twiggy."

With that, he tossed the stone as casually as possible. But the stone's speed suddenly picked up and became a pure vector of destruction as it sighted Pepper's face. Moving like a speeding bullet, it threatened to do bodily harm to the generously beautiful robot.

Pepper listened curiously to Kodaka as he spoke to her. Criminals were usually either running, resisting arrest, or in rare cases peacefully obliging her request to be taken in. It was interesting seeing behavior different from the norm, even if it did make her question the emotional stability of this boy. He made mention of vegetables, not like he was the first. She could never get why she reminded people of green foods, maybe it was some weird quirk she was out of the loop on. What he said next was a bit odd, it seemed he was disappointed that she was the only person they sent after him. 'Recycled weapon'... well, that was at least partially true, she didn't see why it would matter however.

She watched as he ran his hand along the ground, apparently he was about to take the first 'shot.' He picked up a rock, an odd choice of weapon.

"You know my name, maybe you should say yours, unless you want me to call you Twiggy."

He said this with a smile, and she came to notice that all of his body language gave her the impression that he was a proud and rebellious individual. "Twiggy?..." She repeated the strange nickname, so blandly it almost didn't sound like a question. That was a new one, she wondered what it was about her that warranted that label. Her eyes shifted to the side as she thought about it, she'd have to remember to ask someone about it later. "Hm?" Her left hand yanked up in front of her face, catching the rock Kodaka had thrown at her.

She eyed it inquisitively. It seemed to be an ordinary rock, so how was it moving so fast? Dropping the rock she looked back to Koda, he was indeed a threat. "My name is Sarah Bell A. Pepper, and due to your resistance I must take hostile action." Her body sparked with electricity, which ran across her body and converged along her arms. Raising her arms straight towards her target, a ball of electricity formed between them. It increased in size until it was as large as a basketball, once it did it Pepper let it loose, firing it like a lightning bolt right at him.

Once the projectile had reached a certain distance, it fizzled out and spread apart so thinly it could not form a tangible body. Sparks and particles had rained down and slowly dissipated, seeping into the ground, harmless. Kodaka stood there, unamused, but otherwise ironically interested. His feat, it seems, was a small and unimportant one, as he expressed blatant annoyance at how weak her attack was.

The real phenomenon being that Kodaka completely nullified the attack without touching it, or making any obvious reaction to it. He was idle the entire time, his hands in his pocket, and a wicked smile spread across his face. It was a calculated response, however, because he inferred that Pepper could certainly pack a much bigger punch than that. A pathetic display of strength was unlike a specimen like Pepper, it would be disappointing, however, if he were wrong.

"I guess it is my turn," Kodaka muttered. Taking one step forward resulting in the entire forest which surrounded the two combatants to suddenly fall to an invisible force. Scores of trees were instantly sliced off at the base, redirected mid-air - as if manipulated by psychokinesis - and aimed themselves - like javelins - at Pepper before gaining sudden momentum and moving toward her at the speed of thirty-two kilometers per hour. He finished his step and at that time, the trees would gain purchase with the pseudo-police officer.

Pepper's stoic visage was unchanged as Kodaka rendered her attack naught. She had calculated that such an attack would not incapacitate him, however she expected it to at least put him on guard. She thought over this turn of events.... out loud. "It's clear he posses a powerful ability, but what kind? Perhaps he also has control over electricity?... No, implausible, does not fit with prior reports... Hm?" She stopped talking as she noticed trees being lifted in the air and sliced to a dangerous edge, interesting. All he had done was take a step forward, yet his was able to manipulate his surroundings in such a profound manner. This was unprecedented, she had less data on him than she thought. She'd need to push him to see the limits of his power. First, she needed to protect herself from these makeshift spears. Her fists sparked as she planted her feet to the ground. Arching backwards she tensed her muscles, and sent her fists flying in a lightning enhanced volley. Miniature explosions of electrical discharge screamed through the wood, blasting it apart until all that was left was a pile of burnt splinters.

She straightened her body, and without any sign of hostility beforehand charged towards Kodaka. Her legs kicked off the ground with powerful bounds, and she closed the distance in less than a second. She sent a quick right straight punch towards his face, followed by a left. She alternated them five more times, before kicking off the ground with her right foot. She spun her body, sending a vertical axe kick towards his neck.

"Don't try to analyze my abilities," Kodaka said, hearing her musing, "It cannot be rationalized, quantified or objectified. Something like that would imply that it was created through a rational and logical process. That, obviously, isn't true. It was created from sickness, death, and misery. Things that are not rational, things that shouldn't exist."

He continued to talk aloud despite Pepper rushing toward him. As if he were lecturing a class or teaching a child the basics in arithmetic. All the way, he walked forward calmly and naturally, trying to meet her half-way. Pepper sent a volley of punches his way and he side-stepped each time to narrowly avoid the strikes. Then she leaped.

"Humanity is ugly," he said as she fell to the Earth, "It is full of jealous, evil creatures who cannot appreciate a good thing in front of them. We're ready to eat each other alive if given an incentive. And you plan to work for us? No, under us. You only know as much as we allow you to know, if that's the case-" her kick hit its intended target spot-on. Kodaka took the blunt of the attack without flinching as the ground underneath them cracked and became concave, "-I'll teach you something good."

Grabbing Pepper's ankle, he used his free hand to jab at her tendon. In hindsight, the force of his attack would mean nothing if it weren't enhanced by his mysterious ability. Giving objects the ability to increase momentum suddenly without the need of a force accelerating it. His aloof jab would have torn right through her tendon and nearly pluck off her foot with the slightest of ease.

"You are curious of my powers, hm? To the extent where you might put yourself in bodily harm to figure it out. Interesting, let's see how long you last Twiggy before you can figure out the full extent of what I can do."

As her leg connected with it's intended target Pepper felt something was off right away. Kodaka didn't even so much as buckle under the massive amount of force she used. He retaliated, grabbing her ankle and striking it with a series of quick piercing strikes. The armor in place cracked, and eventually fell apart as she just managed to get put some distance between herself and Kodaka. She raised her right foot off the ground, rotating it in a clockwise manner. "Minimal damage." She whispered. Her artificial leg had not taken any damage, however the fact that he broke through her armor so easily was worrisome. Placing her foot back to the ground she stared at Kodaka with a blank glare.

"Humanity?..." Pepper didn't consider herself much of a philosophical person, she didn't understand others need to over analyze every facet of life. She didn't even question her own existence, what was the point? Regardless, she couldn't agree with what this boy was saying. "I do not believe that is true. Humanity consists of all types of persons, to group them all into one notion is illogical. You say you gained your power through 'sickness, death, and misery.' You also called these things irrational. You may be right about that, I fail to see why so many people choose to live their lives full of hatred and death. Murder, theft, baseless violence, it... Makes no sense." Pepper took a deep breath, thinking about these types of things always bothered her. "But that doesn't matter, because there is at least one thing I do understand."

She shot her right arm towards him, it's form changed to that of a cannon in the split second it took to take aim at him. She fired it, letting loose a shell of condensed lightning that screamed towards him. She expected him to render it null like her first attack, so she began to strafe him, firing six more shots around him until she was behind him. Her right arm morphed again, changing to a six foot long singled edged blade. Sparks running along her body and along the blade she charged him, thrusting towards his chest.

"What matters is, then, what you are capable of understanding. Or, rather, what you are allowed to understand, right?" Kodaka hadn't stopped his philosophical analysis even in the face of this danger. He continued to speak with the elegance and professionalism of a professor, either his cockiness knows no bounds or he is simply an idiot.

"How can a being like you possibly begin to fathom the concepts of humanity, the fact that you must logically break everything down and then claim the illogical is irrelevant is rather imprudent of you," the projectiles that she fired were right on target, but he stood there, watching her, unimpressed not with her fighting but with her line of thinking it seems.

The first bolt was aimed at his right eye, it was heart-poundingly close to its target and with one swift, natural and almost bored movement it missed completely. He had turned to look at her, causing two more to miss, "You are not a human. And I'm not being racist or anything. But the fact that you can admit things don't make sense makes you a non-human. Which may or may not be a bad thing, but humans are stubborn and wish to understand the world and will refuse to admit that they do not understand something. But the truth is-" stepping forward the last four missed by millimeters as well, "Humans don't make sense."

Pepper was closing in and he stood, arms extended, with that smile on his face.

"I understand that. I can understand everything there is to know. And this isn't me being stubborn, this is me being honest. I am not a human, I'm just like you.. well, a better you. And if we're so alike, why must we engage in such violent acts, I think we can be... good friends."

Her stab came in, aimed at his chest, Kodaka stepped back - back bent - and opened wide.

Her blade was intercepted by his teeth, only a few inches of the actual weapon made it into his mouth but he caught it with his teeth and he just smiled, amused.

"What do you think?" the electricity ran through the metal and even over Kodaka's body. But it seemed to leave his body in arches, as if uninterested in electrifying him.
