Possible meaning of DiZ

I have researched into the meaning of DiZ and found the following possible 'definitions':

- DiZ is a variant of the prefix 'dis-' meaning 'not' or 'apart' - could be implied when he is referred to as being is ansem and not ansem. Or, a separate being split apart from one whole - DiZ + ansem = one whole

- Dis also means god of the underworld (but obviously has no relation/connection to DiZ)

Good find. All names have meanings. (i.e. Tidus = Sun; Yuna = Moon, Flower)
Maybe DiZ is an abbreviation for somthing.

diz is a nobody. he is the shell of ansem. he has both the light and darkness within him. what do you mean darker side of ansem? ansem is a heartless! there is nothing darker than that.

i think this has been asked before and im not sure if there is an answer but what i dont get is why is the i in DiZ not capitalized, i read this in a thread before but im not sure if there was an answer

i'm starting to think that DiZ isn't his true name lol(well of course it's not) i think he just uses it to make himself seem distant from his true self which is ansem. or maybe it's just something short for his real name. here's a question to be brought up. why would a shell of a person decide to change it's name?

Ansem is a heartless (his corrupted heart), so DiZ (as the rumors say, has the same voice actor as Ansem) is Ansem's body and soul. I would be surprised if you fight him as someone else said.

As for DiZ, I didn't find much except for a bit of everything, so I can't be sure of the origin of the name. There are an awful lot of bavarian websites, though (southern Germany) I know it has nothing to do with Disney, because Nomura said it was just a coincidence in an interview on kh2.co.uk

A diz, from what I gather, is some circle-looking metal object used to "make a constant thickness sliver from carded or combed wool, while aligning fibers longitudinally." ...which again, is probably just a coindidence

One of the Ansem reports, he says that he will "cast off his body" and then a later one he says he should be a heartless but isn't... I think he is a corrupted Heart, which is just as good as a heartless, because the same thing happened to the Disney villians.

what i think he meant was something similar to the unknowns(u know how they are nobodies but they have kept there thoughts and human form) i think when ansem turned into a heartless he kept his memories and humanity and things like that. so thats what he probably meant in that report.

litsen in kh1 ansem said his body was to weak to countinue his journey(ansems reaport) so how could he know this is he is a unknown unknowns have shells and are perfect till the day they die they dont get old or younger soo ansem had to have a heart he had to and when he opened KH the door to the darkness (turned out to be light) mayb it got consumed by the ligth and he dosent have one any more witch made him a nobody of answem and an unknown also and he actually seems to know sora in a way and that is the only person i can see knowing him that is his enemy!

a heartless is a heart over taken by darkness and in the process the individual looses it's body and soul. the body and soul have now been known to be called nobodies. so ansem and DiZ are the same person but they are not the same being. and as for his hart being consumed you are wrng because ansem resides in riku

I have transcended to an existence of only the heart. I should have come back as a Heartless, but there is no sign of such a transformation.
