Proud mode tips?

I don't really like the design of Meow Wow haha! I actually removed him from my team when I got the first chance to do so. Then I found out he had Leaf Bracer -.-

Yeah, the only reason i'd put him on my team is for leaf bracer

Also, flowmotion. Seriously, it's like the cheapest thing ever. If you're in a tight spot, alternate between flowmo attacks and using super jumps to get far enough away to heal safely. I'm not very far (finishing up Hunchback), but that's solved all my problems so far.

That slowly becomes less and less of a solution later game as it begins to ease you to use a balance of your command deck, normal attacks and flowmotion in a nice mixture, although I found myself using flowmotion less and less anyway because it become slower and less reliable to take out some end-game enemies compared to my other abilities.

Well im saying so far its easy. Ive just reached The Grid with Riku and im almost done Les with Sora, fighting Wargoyle now.

Well what level are you? I've found the whole game easy so far up to the 4th world but I've overleveled a lot thanks to looking for those special portals and fighting every nightmare along the way <_<

Yeah this is why I fought every normal enemy along my to actually completing the world, but when I returned to get the rest of the treasure chests/find portals and stuff I ran away from the enemies much more often. I don't want to be too over leveled.

Right now I'm using a team out of Frootz Cat, R & R Seal and Meowjesty, pretty good ability-combination.

I won't say proud is quite easy in this game, I'd rather say it gives a decent challenge without getting frustrating.

Btw, does anyone know how I can fully dodge the "death-star-laser" from the second form of Riku's boss during the dive to Country of the Musketeers?

Sora meets the same guy earlier on another dive. It looks like a Kraken/squid.

There are rocks during the dive? Gotta check right now.

It is the boss I am thinking. When he does that attack, rocks appear - just stand behind them and it won't hit you.

So far i think that ive died more times in this game than i have in every KH game since 2 combined not counting secret boss deaths. Im very underleveled but ive still managed to get through about 3/4ths of the game. I suggest trying many differant combos of DE's that match your style. If you have the guide book it has all their affinitys and everything listed. Also spend time exploring the entire maps, no matter how large they are, because there are some giant chests that have awsome commands in them. Also, try to time your drops. So far for me i have only had to drop once in a boss fight, but it was because the boss recovered health, and my drop guage was at 2.5 speed

I've just been leveling up my DE's and trying to get the best commands/abilities

Spoiler Show

1. Meowjesty - I'm trying to get Curaga and Second Chance for Riku (Meow Wow also gives Curaga, but I'm focusing more on Meowjesty. He actually also gives Leaf Bracer). I've already gotten Sparkra which is a nice command for Sora, just a bit time-consuming in preparation before the attack so make sure there aren't any DE's around to attack you or else the command is off.
2. Kab Kannon - Currently aiming for Salvation, but I was able to get Dark Firaga from him for Riku:] There's also Zero Graviga, but I personally don't use that command.
3. R&R Seal - Balloonga, probably one of the most amazing magic abilities every. You summon ballons and they'll go flying/attacking after enemies (these attacks are really fun and funny at the same time...or I'm just easy to entertain). Also got Shadowbreaker, which is a pretty cool move considering you're using a dark and then a light attack.
4. Ursa Circus - gives Damage Syphon.
5. Frootz Cat - gives Triple Plasma (probably not one of the greatest commands but I like it) and Salvation (which I'm aiming for). There's also Reload Boost, which is always helpful.
6. Pricklemane - gave Circle Raid and Combo Plus, which were helpful (there's also something called Time Bomb where you turn an enemy into a ticking bomb and surrounding enemies can get caught up in the attack, but every time I turned a Nightmare into a bomb, it always went the opposite direction of the other DE's...plus it takes 5 seconds to explode, so unless you use it on a huge DE, it's not an effective command)

I'm seeing a pattern in that I always use the AR card DE's instead of the ones I have createdXD

And you've probably already gotten far enough into the game where you already realized all this, but just in case for those of you who haven't...

I just beat the whole game in 29 hours and 1 minute on proud... lol.

just level up, a lot. and equip a lot of abilities. i was level 40

but proud mode can be ridiculously hard, and aggravating (especially when someone else in your household is further than you because they picked beginner mode...) but yeah just level up a lot.

This. My younger sister is like 3 worlds ahead of me, and she won't stop rubbing it in. =.=
I've been exploring a lot, grinding, taking things slow, also she's on beginner, and I'm on proud. =/

Well, beating on Proud sounds a lot more impressive than beating on Beginner. Proud, you can be proud of the accomplishment of beating all the hard bosses, etc. Beginner...not so much. (I mean, congrats on beating the game, but it probably wasn't much of a challenge doing it, and challenges are what makes games fun Plus, you can get a secret ending. And it's still unknown, at least to me, how to unlock the secret ending in Beginner Mode. But if your sister figures that out, then I must say that is an amazing feat., seeing as how no one else discovered it as of yet)

I tend to take my time as well. Not sure if it's cause I'm on Proud or because I enjoy trying to unravel every part of the game (I've been so focused on unlocking a lot of nice and powerful commands/abilities from my DE's lately)

Yeah, but given that one of the trophies is for taking pictures with your spirits, it's not the most difficult thing, haha.

Haha, yeah, I got that trophy fastXD So far, I have 3 trophies...2 more to go! Getting 5 will be easy. 7 is possible. 13...ehh. Haha.

I just noticed something 7 trophies in Standard for 7 lights. 13 trophies in Beginner for 13 darknesses...anyone else thinking this is a subtle but intentional thing? As for the 5 trophies, that was probably just random choosing

just think, you'll unlock...something... easier. just, trust me, when you get to the last few scenes, think about what you choose... i cant spoil.

i cant believe i beat the game as fast as i did on proud. im just really good with the combat system (and cera terror and thunderaffe help out a lot too)
