I was doing some research for a theory of mine, and I came across an inconsistency in the story that I was hoping someone here might be able to explain. If not, then it would seem that a mistake was made in writing the story for the DLC.
Spoilers for Remind DLC to follow:
So anyways I was wondering what people make of this. Did the devs make a mistake, or was Chirithy referring to something else completely when talking about Sora misusing the power of waking. If not the Lich battles, then I can't think what else Chirithy might have been referring to when stating Sora misused the power of waking.
Spoilers for Remind DLC to follow:
Spoiler ShowAt the start of remind when speaking with Chirithy, Sora and Chirithy both state that Sora has improperly used the power of waking to restore hearts that have completely faded from existence exactly SIX times before. I'm assuming that this is referring to the hearts that we restored after chasing down the Lich after the guardians were defeated at the keyblade graveyard. I was curious which hearts exactly were restored in this manner and went back and watched some footage on youtube of this sequence of the game, and actually was surprised to find that in fact SEVEN hearts were restored, not SIX as stated in remind. For reference here is what I found.
1. Riku's heart restored at Olympus
2. Aqua's heart restored at the Carribean
3. Goofy's heart restored at Arendelle
4. Donald's heart restored at Monstropolis
5. Ventus's heart restored at Toybox
6. Mickey's heart restored at Kingdom of Corona
7. Axel's heart restored at Sanfransokyo.
