The World That Never Was is not located in the Realm of Darkness. It's located in the Realm of In-between, the same place you'd find Twilight Town, Traverse Town, and the Mysterious Tower. Admittedly, it is CLOSE to the RoD as stated by Pete, but it's not quite there. And if you're referring to the location of the final battle against Xemnas where he turns into a dragon and has his zebra coat, that was actually a pocket dimension called The World of Nothing that Xemnas created himself using the power of Kingdom Hearts. How come in kingdom hearts 2 when they all went into the realm of darkness to defeat Xemnas they were able to defeat the nobodies and heartless with ease but in kh3 they are op and broke Riku and King Mickey keyblades?View attachment 12824
To address your question, suspension of disbelief to continue a narrative. They wanted to introduce new designs for Mickey and Riku and decided to go down an unfortunate route.
You're supposed to believe that Heartless having the homefield advantage are stronger than Zebra Xemnas.
She had trouble with HIGH TIER heartless on their home turf. Namely, Darksides and Dark Hide. She didn't get roflstomped by...wait for it...a horde of shadows. LOLActually, that's not much of a stretch. Remember, even Aqua, a Keyblade Master with years of experience, had trouble with the Heartless on their home turf, too.
When you play as Aqua in the Secret Episode of BBS (which is the first time she encounters Heartless at all, let alone on their home turf), they are noticeably harder than all the normal enemies she's faced up to that point. Even grunt Heartless like Shadows have the potential to kill you if you aren't careful, even though you're at like level 50 by that point. By the time Aqua is breezing through the more ordinary Heartless in 0.2, she's already been there for 10 years and gotten used to their power by then. She had trouble with HIGH TIER heartless on their home turf. Namely, Darksides and Dark Hide. She didn't get roflstomped by...wait for it...a horde of shadows. LOL
She failed to kill even one Demon Tower or Tide alone on screen. She had trouble with HIGH TIER heartless on their home turf. Namely, Darksides and Dark Hide. She didn't get roflstomped by...wait for it...a horde of shadows. LOL
Well, I'm not sure I'd call a Demon Tower/Tide insignificant. From my personal experience, Demon Towers like the one Mickey and Riku fought in 3 are more troublesome than your average Darkside. Honestly, I've always thought Darksides were easier to beat even than many NORMAL Heartless. So, it's not all THAT big of a discrepancy. But I do get what you're saying. Nevertheless, I think you can still roll with it by just saying that Darksides are weak af. Hell, Sora even beat one of them before he even had a Keyblade (in the opening of KH1). They're really not a threat. But what about in kh 1 ending in the door to darkness when King Mickey used the kingdom key d keyblade and took out all those dark sides but yet in kh 3 can’t deal with the most insignificant heartless?View attachment 12826
