Replaying BBS on the PSP for the thousandth time.

In Ventus's playthrough, when Ven is in Radiant Garden Even notices that Ven is completely devoid of darkness.
In Aqua's playthrough, when Aqua is in Radiant Garden, she comes upon young Kairi and senses her light.

If she is able to sense the light in Kairi, wouldn't she be able to do the same with Ven who has been stripped clean? Or is Darkness still with Ventus?
I can't fail now to recognize similarities between Aqua and Invi, and trying to be the mediator/moderator.

I just think it has to do with what suddenly comes up on her radar. It might have happened when she first met Ven, but we don't get a lot of their backstory. Kairi is specifically a Princess of Heart which makes its presence known in a different way, perhaps. Ven was unnaturally made a being of pure light, to the point of being on death's door (which Aqua witnessed firsthand), and Aqua has seen him develop as a brother over the years, linked to and rescued by Sora's heart of light and darkness.

Though he is NOT a being of pure light, Aqua senses that Riku had been bequeathed the power of the keyblade. So, she can pick up on different things here and there. And her senses are keen on Darkness too, if you remember her reaction to the Tremaine household. Who knows why she didn't mention Cinderella. Maybe she wasn't as close in proximity, locked in her tower.

Aqua knows that Ven is really strong light. But that is expected, all keyblade wielders are supposed to be so. She probably could detect that he is a pure light if she used her abilities on him, but she has no reason to do so, because she knows the lore. Everyone except the Princesses of Heart has darkness, and Ven very obviously isn't a princess. So, she hasn't even thought of it.
