I have a question about the M3 and Hydra shotgun in RE5.
Which one is more powerful?

Hydra is a one shot kill as long as your at close range and is almost guaranteed to blow heads off if your aim is right.
one of my friends fully upgraded his M3 and it takes 2-3 shots to take out 1 Majini on Professional as opposed to one from the Hydra.

I thought you meant 2-3 shots on Veteran for a minute. I was about to be like 'What piss-weak M5 are THEY using?!'. But I spotted my mistake. I haven't even unlocked professional yet.

I bought both shotguns and upgraded both fully and to me it seems the Hydra is the better one, overall.
It's got great range, good capacity and the attack power is pretty good. The M3 excels in attack power but everything else...eh.

If you have it on Ps3 I'd be more than happy to help you with a Professional run or finishing your Veteran run for that matter.

The Hydra is pretty much the weapon I used to get the Lead Aspirin trophy; when you aim high at those tribal Majini's while they're jumping with that gun it's pretty much guaranteed their heads are coming off.

I'd also like to note that if anyone needs help with a speed run to get the Infinite Rocket Launcher I'd be more than glad to help with that as well, since I already unlocked it wouldn't be hard at all to get through it in under 5 hours much less S ranks on every chapter.

Which difficulty are you planning on playing it?
I'd recommend Veteran because it's a challenge but not too hard.

I've beaten it on normal, working on Veteran right now. I got infiniite ammo for the M3 shotty, and about to get infinite ammo on the H&K P8 pistol.

You have to fully upgrade a weapon to unlock it in Bonus Features.
You trade points that you get at the end of each chapter for said unlimited ammo weapon.
