Actually Coded reveals that Ansem SOD had been secretly meeting with Riku for awhile before KH 1 even started (possibly for years) and he was the one who opened the dark corridor to Hallow Bastion for him in the first place. In fact it seems to imply that Riku knew all along they'd be leaving by darkness and simply came up with the raft idea as a way to get his two friends into the idea of leaving their world with him, having no intention of actually taking that raft. Which explains why it was so poorly thought out.

the only proof u do have is that Ansem, SoD met Riku before HB. they didnt have a discussion or anything. they looked at each other for a while and then XH sent a corridor for riku and riku went in. XH possibly kept looking over him during the time but didnt try anything.

Ansem was the one who was feeding his Darkness in the first place

actually it was Maleficent. Kh1 states that clearly. XH was just more manipulative and got riku to open his heart but it was Maleficent who fed him the darkness first.

so it's not out of place to think Ansem crafted the Dark Form suit for Maleficent to later unlock designing it with a similar design to his former apprentice to show that Ansem SOD was still Xehanort deep down, even if he had forgotten. It's also why Ansem SOD wears similar clothing to Master Xehanort. Tastes in clothing don't always change if you lose your memories.

Why does EVERYONE think Ansem SoD worked with Maleficent in KH1?

Because they were. Sort of. Maleficent had no idea who he was but he was clearly mainpulating and having her unknowningly doing his bidding for him. Or do you think it is concidence that she had exactly what he wanted just about ready right when he first made his appearance, or that he sent Riku to her to be molded into his next body?
