Riku's upcoming development

Eraqus's heart is inside Terra's. And Terra's heart is possessed by Xehanort, of course.

Xehanort's heartless - Ansem SoD was made when Apprentice Xehanort (aka amnesiatic Terranort) fell to darkness as an apprentice of Ansem. Theoretically, this means that Terra's heart is inside Ansem SoD as well, it's just completely consumed and possessed by Xehanort's heart. And Ansem SoD was the one that possessed Riku. And quite honestly, it's very possible that Ansem SoD picked Riku because of his connection with Terra. I can easily see Ansem SoD going on and on to Riku about him being his "chosen one" or something like that in KH1.

Bouncing off of this, I believe the theory is that when Ansem SoD was stripped away from Riku's heart (the data explosion thing in KH2 I think?) that Terra's heart could very well have clung to Riku's. I don't like that idea very much, because the idea of housing hearts is getting a bit grating on me, given the ridiculous amount of people Sora's housing in his own heart. I agree with someone on here who has this statement as part of their sig: "Sora's going to have to start charging rent." (No kidding, he seriously should, lol.)

But I've been mulling over the idea of what could happen if maybe Riku just had part of Terra's heart in him: more specifically, the memories in Terra's heart. It could be triggered somehow in KH3D, and Riku suddenly starts pulling freudian slips that are really Terra's own memories, similar to Cloud in FFVII (only he'd realize what was going on faster than Cloud did (the memories not being his)). I say only the memories in Terra's heart, simply because the memories could have recognized it was Riku's heart it was clinging to alongside fragments of Ansem SoD, and it clung to Riku when the fragments of Ansem SoD was stripped clean away in KH2.

Although its possible for Terra's heart to stay inside Riku's because of the connection their hearts have and does this explain Riku getting the Way to the Dawn Keyblade because I don't think that was ever explained. Considering he's playable, I would think so. Usually there's customization allowed in the weapons department.

Since this will be the first time we'll get to see Riku actually interact with the disney characters in their respective worlds, i'm interested to see how this will work out. It's gonna be interesting seeing how Riku gets along with the Disney characters.

Hmmm...well, thinking off of the top of my head with Worlds that we may very well see again in the future (like in KH3):

- I can see Aladdin welcoming Riku with open arms as a new friend and ally. He always has struck me as one of the few Disney characters that is serious Bffs with Sora. He's heard Sora talk nonstop about Riku, and I think that automatic trust that I can see Aladdin putting in Riku just because he's Sora's beloved friend will do Riku a world of benefit. And I think Riku would get along well with Aladdin. I think the Genie would be too gregarious for Riku's taste however. And then there's Jasmine, a PoH. Riku would totally feel utter guilt at seeing her because of the events of KH1, even though he had no relation to kidnapping Jasmine. And I can see Jasmine brushing it off and even pointing this bit out - if she remembers anyway, she was asleep for a portion of the time she was in captivity, wasn't she?

-I think Hercules would also be pretty friendly with Riku. But Hades will quite gleefully give Riku grief about his past. I think this, however, could grant him sympathies from Meg, given her own sketchy past dealing with Hades.

As for any other world...well, we know Hunchback of Notre Dame is going to be in DDD. I don't know why, but I can see Riku spending a great deal of time with the gypsies. He could make an ally/friend with Esmeralda and Djali, and maybe Captain Phoebus. If he does spend his storyline with the gypsies, I can see him initially having similar reservations about Phoebus as Esmeralda did in the movie. And Phoebus first comes off as a tiny bit arrogant, which wouldn't work well with Riku. Clopin is iffy, but once again, there's an eccentric and slightly gregarious attitude about him that I can see Riku being uncomfortable with, and learning to live with while in the world. And if Riku meets Quasimodo well...I don't see any issues building up there in personality to be honest. Quasi's such a nice guy, and there's a quiet brightness about him that might remind Riku a little bit of both Sora and Kairi.

Speaking of Ansem, SoD, and the fact that he's Xehanort's heartless....I wonder how Riku is going to react when he learns the full story about Terra and his connection to him?

I would imagine him interacting with them in a manner in-between that of Terra and that of Sora. I don't think he'll be quite as serious as Terra was, he just doesn't have that personality, at the same time he's not Sora, he'll sort of be "casually get to business, but not all giddy and smiling" imo.

What I want most from Riku in the upcoming games is him to talk to Kairi more and him to meet Terra, and for them to recognize each other and remember the day they met in BBS.

D'awww that'd be nice. I don't know if they'll meet in 3D though, especially Terra, depends on what happened with the whole Xehanort/Terra's body thing.

That's not entirely a given fact...the actual rescue is going to be done in KH III, but that doesn't rule out for Terra playing a role in DDD somewhat, as it's also said that DDD sheds more light on all that Terra/Xehanort/Eraqus mess we have now.

When something of Terra is really inside Riku there don't even need to be real interaction...Riku just becoming aware to it and his reaction to that and future plans concerning it would already be interesting to see.

Depends on the Disney character, I think with Characters like Aladdin, Jack Skellington, Hercules or Mulan Riku would get along with quite well...of course he would be way calmer and not as bubbly as Sora...and a guy like Pete...well, Pete will regret having bothered him, lol.

I thought Riku was the one that captured her, by hand. If that's so, I don't see Aladdin not trying to attack him on sight.
