Well,so this popped up on Gameranx ( Kingdom Hearts 3 - More Likely a 2017 Release Now )

Now this is spreading all over the internet. I kind of believe sounds like a thing, that KH III is gonna indeeed come in 2017. What I don't feel right is that they are pretty much picking everyone they can to help in the FFXV development. I'm worried because there's a ton of people working and that doesn't give me good vibes ( look what happened to AC III , it was crazy how bad they communicated in the dev team ).

What do you guys think?

To be completely frank, i am not bothered by this news at all, if anything i was expecting it. If it was postponed to 2018 i still wouldn't be surprised. Nowhere in my mind do i think that a 2016 release for KHIII is realistic. I want this game to be nice and ripe, not rushed and lacking. Regardless, i expect at least a year between the releases of FFXV and KHIII, so like? it's just a time to chill, homie. The wait won't feel that long when the time finally comes.

Kingdom Hearts III delayed to 2017
That's literally impossible, the game don't even have a release window yet.

I also don't trust any source that don't even take the time to get the names right and confuse Nomura with Tabata
We know, of course, that Square Enix took Tabata off of Final Fantasy XV for the dual purpose of cutting downFinal Fantasy XV so it would finally get released
Also the Osaka team are in full production on KH III and Nomura have said that development is going really well so I don't think they have to wait for the old KH team to return, maybe for KH IV.

Edit - As for the release date I never expected it to come out before 2017 and I wouldn't want it to be rushed so no problem or surprise there.

Meh. I figured 2016 was highly optimistic anyways. This article looks like a bad rumor from a bad source, though.

According to the article, Square Enix took Tabata off the production of Final Fantasy XV, which he wasn't working on yet, and replaced him with himself.

It's not clear if he's their "source" (I don't think he is) but TheGamersJoint is wrong that there is two separate teams within Osaka team. The FFXV team (Business Division 2) is based in Tokyo not Osaka (I'm 90% sure).

misinformed clickbait. the "article" was about FFXV yet the picture was of KH and they confused nomura with tabata. i wouldn't worry about it.

Okay, since I'm awake now I can give a better "lol no" post.

Nomura (who they call Tabata) wasn't removed from FFXV to work on KH3. He left because he was made director of FFVIIR. If FFVIIR hadn't been a thing, I doubt he would have left the project (but then he'd have never bought cats for healing either :c ). And anyways, Yasue has already said that Nomura being off of FFXV (not in those exact words, of course) has not changed anything because the team has been keeping up with their schedule.

"Other devs under him don’t get this benefit, and are basically divided working on both games."

WTF does this even mean? KH3 team is in Osaka working on KH3. FFXV team is in Tokyo working on FFXV. I'm not seeing the correlation at all in this statement.

Why would SE need Osaka anyways when they already have 4 companies (HexaDrive, XPEC, Avalanche, the other Chinese company I always always forget) also working on the game already and probably more we are unaware of. There are also other divisions at SE that can be utilized for this kind of work that aren't working on massively huge projects.

If Kingdom Hearts weren't a joint project between SE and Disney, maybe it would be in the realm of possibility but I just can't imagine having a concrete development plan set with Disney and then breaking out of that plan.

Thus, lol no. Bullshit article is bullshit.

It's not clear if he's their "source" (I don't think he is) but TheGamersJoint is wrong that there is two separate teams within Osaka team. The FFXV team (Business Division 2) is based in Tokyo not Osaka (I'm 90% sure).

TheGamersJoint clearly has a lack of understanding how the departments are divided. Yes, BD2 is in Tokyo. The bulk of what we knew as 1stPD is in Tokyo except BD3 which is in Osaka.
