We have been hearing the rumors forever but evidently a PS3 price cut is really coming. Several retailers have already confirmed they are going to cut the price for the PS3, others have already done the cut. The only thing left is for Sony to make an official statement about MSRP changes. Of course Sony isn't going to announce a price cut yet because they still want people to keep buying the regular PS3 until they announce the slim officially (that's my guess). Then with the debut of the slim I expect we'll see all the changes with the price tags from Sony's side.

They make it sound like it's a moral issue, like they're going to hurt someone's feelings if they don't do trophies for certain achievements or make them too easy.
