Roxas, if you're a name scrambling freak, you'll realize if you scramble the letters, it's SORAX. Maybe it's supposed to mean, Sora the tenth, or even like Ex Sora, like ex-girlfriend. Please post

This is way old. Sorry Super Brave Sora but it is kinda obvious roxas spelled is sora with an X.
here is my other theory, about why his name is that, and his purpose on why he wants Sora.
It's scrambled SoraX or X Sora because maybe when he was a heartless, as you know, the heart is taken away. Thus, the soul is seperated, and a shell is made!! Concluding Roxas existence, and why he can wield a keyblade!! And maybe he is trying to protect Sora to keep himself from being erased from existence. OBviously a shell of a person is their soul.
So..maybe this is it. Sora is the heart, and Roxas is the Soul. The Soul is protecting the Heart, because maybe the Soul cannot exist without the heart. Maybe there is the chance that they can reunite.

Others beat you to it. This theory of yours has been stated a number of times, we all know roxas is sora with an x and that roxas is a shell with a connection to sora.
