Hi there! Sorry, but currently I just don't have the time to update my story with any regularity! I might actually close this thread, depending on upcoming events. I apologise, and I wish you a good day! ♥

~^^^~
{Terror's Tiara}

Hayo! This is my first Fanfic, but I'm trying my best. I'll try to keep grammatical and punctual errors to a minimun, but everyone makes typo's. Also, since this is my first, I took it from an easier angle for me, wich is why I made a lot of people up. And since Sora mostly gets the spotlight, I decided to give Riku a chance to escort the Herione of my story. We'll see how it works =D I plan on about 13 chapters, but I'm not sure. The first chapter is short, I know, but chapter two should be longer.

Please enjoy! Comments and constructive critisism is welcome! Thanks much, hugs!

{Chapter One} ~^^^~

Takil Taheiliar was floating in eternal darkness, with no body, no thoughts, only a drifting soul. There was no sound, no feeling. Time did not exist. But in the outside world, where there was time, it would be said she had been there for over three hundred years.

She floated in the darkness, in a deep sleep, that was suddenly disrupted by a tiny pinprick of light. It grew in size, slowly but surely, until it was a blazing sun shining amidst the dark. As it grew, it thinned in the middle, and then ripped open. Sound crashed down on Takil's sleeping soul, wind sounded like a hurricane, waves sounded like a tidal wave. The light focused on Takil, sucking her in. Takil struggled against it, but she was already touching it. Her consious suddenly returned, and her first thought formed. All she got was "Oh Hell-" before she fell through the portal of light.

~~~~
On the other side, I landed on a rather lumpy bed. I had my body back. I looked about twenty-two, with long, black wavy hair and bare skin pale in the moonlight. My silver glowing eyes quickly took in my surroundings and filed away every detail. Then I noticed the bed was wiggling around. A head appeared, took one look at me, and disappeared again. "Put some clothes on." it grumbled.
I hadn't been in the real world long, but memory was returning fast. I climbed off the bed and carefully wrapped a towel around myself. The head reappeared, then the rest of the body when it saw I was decently clothed.
I smiled. "Hello there. I'm Takil. And you are...?" I stopped smiling when I felt my sharp canine teeth. I held out a hand instead, but brought it back when I saw my long black nails were sharpened to points. I didn't want to scare the kid. He was the only one around who could tell me what was going on.
"My name is Riku..." he said groggily. He had long pale hair and pale blue eyes. He was wearing pajama bottoms and a white t-shirt. "Er, how did you get here?"
I ignored this question. "Where are we?"
He ran a hand through his hair. "My house, Destiny Islands." he said simply. He was waking up now.
"Never heard of it." I glanced out the open window. "And no wonder. Looks like a second rate world to me."
The poor kid was obviously confused. He tried to get out of bed, got caught in his sheet, and tripped. I reached out to catch him... but he fell right through me.
He landed with a thud. He picked himself up slowly and turned to face me. I stared at him. Then I scrambled out the window, my towel dropping behind me. I heard him called out, but I just kept running.
I stopped on the beach. The water was a clear blue. I dipped my foot into the rushing tide. There was no ripples, no feeling of wetness. I concentrated on my foot... and suddenly the tide was rushing around my foot. I stepped back, my foot damp. I concentrated on my body... there. Now I was wearing a loose black dress, a wide belt cinching my waist. I turned around. The boy, Riku was staring at me. "How did you do that?" he asked quietly.
I sighed. "Look. My name is Takil Taheiliar. I come from the world Carthea. Cartheans... well, let's just say we weren't known for our hospitality. We were a cruel, evil people." I shook my head sadly. "You probally don't want to assosiate with me."
Riku didn't seem to care. "What do you mean 'were'?"
I sighed again. He wasn't getting the point. "The light banished my people to eternal darkness. That where I was before the light set me free. Now, I'm just a half being."
He nodded. "Why did the light let you out?" He appeared geniunely curious. It bugged me. "The Prophecy says the light will chose someone to lead the Cartheans back to the light. I'm obviously the 'Chosen One'.", I said angrily. I turned my back on him and dipped my feet into the water. My left hand was holding something. I hadn't noticed before. I opened my hand and stared at the jeweled tiara. It was simple, worked in silver and diamonds, with one large stone shaped as a cresent moon set in above the rest. It irritated me even more. It was the tiara Cartheans were given when they were dubbed as great leaders or thinkers. The heroes wore this.
I rounded on Riku. "I'm not a hero!" I snapped. "But I know I have to help my people. The Prophecy said there would be a 'guide'. You are the guide. If you don't like it, deal with it. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, but I know where to go. Find some way for us to get back to my world. Now."
He didn't even blink. He just nodded. "I knew it wouldn't be quiet forever" he mumbled. Louder he said "My friend has something that can get us around. Just let me change first, okay?"
I was taken back. I expected some sort of resistence. "Hurry and pack." I said slowly. He turned obediently and walked back to his house. I followed him.
He packed a few things and changed into baggy pants and a vest over a t-shirt. I got to know a bit more about this stranger. He was nice, kinda cute, and he even had a funky looking weapon, some sort of winged key. When he was done, we went outside. He started walking towards a beaten path (not even paved. It really was a second rate world) but I stopped him. "Where is this... thing that can get us to other worlds?"
"Well, it's parked down there, further down the beach, but I have to ask before I take it."
"Just leave a note or something." I said impatiently. "We have to go now. I want to get this over with."
He hesitated, but he finally agreed. In short order we were inside a strange ship. "This is a gummiship. I'll be driving, I don't think you know how." He found a peice of paper and a pencil. He scratched away for a few minutes while I explored the ship. It looked complicated to me. I came back to Riku. "Are you done yet?" He glared at me, scribbled something else, and put it down.
"Okay. Let's go." he said. He sat in front of the panel of controls, and was about to grab hold of the controls when I cried out. "Wait!" I placed the tiara carefully on my head, arranging it to perfection. "I'm ready." I smiled mischievously. He glanced at me, then pushed a few buttons. Abruptly we were soaring through the stars.
~~~~

A spikey haired kid ran down the beach, stopping before the place where he normally parked his gummiship. A note was lying on the sand. he picked it up and read it quickly.

Sora, I'm sorry I took your gummiship.
I 'll explain later, but I may not be back for a while. I promise to return your ship.
I'll be fine, so don't worry about me. I know Kairi left her brush at my house, but she won't find it there. Takil really wanted one, for some reason. She's starting to get angry with me, I have to go. Take care, Riku.

Sora's eyebrows rose as he read it. A girl appeared by his side. "Sora, what happened? Where's your gummiship?"

Sora gave her the letter. "Riku just ran off with some girl!"

~~~~
The end of chapter one! I hope you like it. Comment and critisize to your hearts content, but try to be nice about it, please. I know it's not very good, but I think it's fine for a beginner Fanfic. Thanks, again!~
The other end of the leash.
Not bad at all, even for a beginner. I don't think I saw any spelling or grammar mistakes, but make sure to check and re-check every chapter before posting them. And that's pretty much it. Post more soon. :D
=O Yay, I've got fans! Not a lot, but I didn't expect an instant sucsess. I'm still getting used to writing a fanfic. Like, I'm trying to incorporate more action, but it's difficult for me. And I wanted to wait for more comments before I put up the next chapter... but my impatient side got the better of me xD. Ah well, thanks everyone, here's Chapter 2!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

{Chapter Two} ~^^^~

I woke up in my bed. Literally. I was still getting used to my half-solid body. But I, Takil Taheiliar of Carthea, would prevail! I let my mind relax and I slowly drifted out of the bed.

That was the problem with my new form. My mind works on several levels, and in order to keep solid, I had to keep one level focused at all time. Unfortunately, it's hard to focus when you're asleep. That wasn't the first time I awoke between bed springs.

It had been two days since I awoke from the darkness, and here I was, wandering onto the Control deck. It was pretty handy, this 'gummiship'. It had a full stocked kitchenette, four cabins with their own bathrooms, and it was stuffed with neat technology. Of course, I didn't understand most of that technological stuff, but it certainly looked cool.

The kid, Riku, was sitting in the captains seat, quietly plunking away at seemingly random buttons. I sat on the control console.

"Don't sit on that." he said without looking up.

I jumped off. "What makes you think you are in charge?" I asked.

He still didn't look up. "I never said I was in charge. But I am flying this ship. I know you have no idea how to work this stuff. You're always goggling over it."

I sniffed haughtily. I did not goggle.

He glanced at the window. "We're here." he said.

The window was large and wide, and made up most of the front of the ship. Through it I could see a planet covered by a quaint looking town. "That's where we're going? Where is it?"

"It's Traverse Town. My friend knows someone there who might help us." He glanced at me, finally. "Hey, when we're down there, could you try to be polite?"

I soon found myself outside a buliding labled 'Accesory Shop'. Inside it was rather small, but neat and tidy. There was no one there, so Riku rung the bell on the counter. A door at the far side of the room opened to admit a burly, blond haired man carrying a tray of cookies. "Ah, customers!" he said in a gravely voice. He set down the cookies and walked behind the counter. "How can I help you?"

"You're Cid right? I'm Riku, I'm a friend of Sora's. He said you know a lot about gummiships." We agreed Riku should do the talking. (He claimed I couldn't be civil) "We need something that will help us find worlds. Do you have anything that can help?"

Cid reached under the counter an set an odd looking machine in front of Riku. "This baby can search for the auras that worlds give off. It should be just the thing. You just attach it to your control console."

They haggled about the price, while Riku told Cid why he needed it. It's not like I gave him permission to go blabbing my story to random passerby. Then they started talking about 'gummiblocks' and other boring things. I yawned a few time, but they didn't take the hint, so I quietly occupied myself. When I couldn't take it anymore (wich happened to be two minutes later) I grabbed Riku by the arm and pulled him out the door. "Excuse us, but we'll be going now." I called to Cid on my way out.

Once outside, Riku pulled free. "I almost didn't grab the NaviSearch500." he grumbled.

"Is that what it's called?" I was busy licking crumbs off my fingers.

"What are you doing?" he asked suspiciously.

"Nothing" I answered. I looked so innocent, he was inclined not to beleive me.

~~~~
Cid stared at the door. Why do I always end up helping some kid do heroic deeds? he thought. Oh well. It gave him a sense of purpose, and importance. He walked over to his tray and grunted in surprise. It was completely clean. not even a crumb was left. What happened to his cookies? He glanced at the door, shook his head, and brought his tray into the other room.
~~~

I waited outside another building as Riku stocked up on supplies. "Let's go," he said as he walked out, but I threw out a hand to stop him. "Wait."

I had been watching a girl without really taking her in. I could only see the back of her. She had long black hair, mostly straight except for a few curled tufts. She seemed lost, glancing around and wandering aimlessly. Something about her seemed familiar.

On a whim, I shouted at her. "Olix!?"

She turned around. She had the same silver eyes I did.

I threw myself at her and we fell to the ground. "Oh Carthos, what are you doing here Olix!?"

Olix picked herself up. "I should ask you the same question, Takil." Suddenly the smile she had on faded. "The light let you out, didn't it." It wasn't a question.

I nodded solemnly. "I didn't ask for it, you know. I'll explain later, but first, how did you get out?"

She sat down on a bench. I sat next to her. Riku shuffled closer, looking thoroughly bewildered. "The light woke me up. By the time I regained full consciousness, the portal was almost closed. I grabbed on to it, and it shifted. I ripped it back open and I landed here."

I quickly told her that the light chose me to save our people. I didn't really want to talk about. I introduced her to Riku, and then we talked about old times. We giggled over our history teacher. He couldn't do magic (most teahcers couldn't) and we loved to torment him. Strangly, I still managed to learn everything he taught.

After a while of reminiscing, Riku broke in. "Takil, would Olix like to come with us? We should really be going soon."

I looked at Olix. "Well?" I demanded. "Come on, we always conspired together."

Olix hesitated. "I guess I could come..." she sounded a little angry. "How would we get around?"

Back on the gummiship, I showed Olix around. She actually seemed to understand all that technical stuff. But I could tell she was uncomfortable. When I asked here what was wrong, she shocked me with the answer. "Did you ever think maybe the Cartheans don't want to go to the light?"

"Olix, the light may not be very fun, but wouldn't you rather live again? I mean, beside this half-life."

"But what do we have to look forward to in the light, besides that?" She asked.

This question stumped me. "Er... Love?"

"Love? What do you do with love?"

"Well, Olix, when two people love each other very much, they get together and-"

"No, I mean what do you do with the emotion?"

"Huh?" I was confused again.

"With anger and hate, you can use them to fuel yourself and your actions."

"I think you can do that with love, too."

"But love is soft! How can it ever compare to hate?" She was defintly angry now. I spoke quickly. "I've heard love can be pretty powerful." I'm not sure if I beleived that.

Olix glanced around. "I think you're going soft too, Takil." she whispered, then she stormed out of my cabin.

I felt the ship finally take off. I gave Olix a few minutes to cool off. I also wanted to think. Could it be true? Could the beautiful, smart, evil Takil Taheiliar be going soft? After a few minutes, I went in search of Olix.

I searched the whole ship, but I couldn't find her anywhere. I asked Riku if he'd seen her.

"She was near the entry last. I think she might've left." he said.

I retreated to my cabin and slammed the door.

Whew, it's done! It's still not exactly action-packed, but I'm laying down the web for future twists. Chapter three should have some action, but we'll have to see. Comments are excepted, thanks again!

Thanks much, Ax! Right so, not many comments, but at least that means not many critisisms either. maybe I'm just writing this for my own benefit, then. I've been reading my friends fanfics, and I've come to the conclusion {again} that I need more action, or something to stir up the plot. Heh, for some reason, when I try to plan stuff out like that, it sounds horrible, so for now on, I'm kinda making it up as I go. Wich means I might change my plans, wich means it'll end differently, but hopefully I can make it happen. Oops, here I am, chattering away. Okie Dokie, chapter three!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
{Chapter Three} ~^^^~
"Ouch!"
"Oops."
"I told you not to put that there!"
"I thought you said not to put that there."
"You weren't listening to me."
"So?"
Riku threw down his screwdriver. "I knew I shouldn't have let you help."
I shrugged. "Hey, it's the thought that counts, right?" I smiled. Riku glared at me.
We were trying to set up the NaviSearch500. It was proving difficult. Riku had been messing with it for hours before I asked if he needed help. Though, honestly, I only did it because it was impossible to sleep through all that banging and cursing. We could've had Cid install it for us, but my impatience won over, and we left before he could. Oh well, it was amusing watching Riku get angry with an inanimate object.
It took a few hours, but eventually we got the NaviSearch working. It beeped at us happily.
Riku, still grumbling, typed in something and went to the ship's control console. "I'm setting the ship to take commands from the NaviSearch." he said. "It's searching for those auras now."
"Ooh, really?" I asked with mock interest. I left the control deck and returned with a cup of coffee. "So this is searching for my world, then?" I tapped the NaviSearch while sipping my coffee.
"Don't bring your coffee near that. You might spill."
I set my coffee on the NaviSearch very pointedly, and turned to face him, fists on my hips. "Let's get this straight, kid. You cannot tell me what to do. You have no power over me. Therefore, I shall do whatever the hell I please." The NaviSearch let out a high-pitched whistle. In surprise, I almost knocked my coffee over. I caught it before it spilled. Riku gave me a flat look. I held the cup in my hand, and set it on fire. The black flames were so hot, the cup completely disenigrated. I was angry with it. How dare it prove me wrong and Riku right!
Riku was scanning the NaviSearch. "It's found something."
We were aproaching a desert world topped with an ancient temple. It wasn't my world. Riku looked at me, but I shook my head. Even so, I was curious. What would give an aura similar to my world? It would have to be some powerful dark object.
Riku was thinking the same thing. "I wonder if I should check it out. I'm sure that's Agrabah, and I don't remember anything dark enough to attract the NaviSearch's sensors."
I spun from the window. "Let's go see what it is!" I said excitedly. Riku hesitated, then prepared the landing gear.
When we touched the ground, I hopped off the ship and into the sand. Miles of it stretched as far as I could see. I scanned the horizon. There. A white walled city stood alone admist the the sand dunes. Without waiting for Riku I headed for the city.
Riku caught up with me just before we entered the city. He had on a battered coat a shawl wrapped around his head. "I don't want to cause suspicion." he said simply. That was a good idea. I concentrated, and suddenly I was also wearing a long coat (in black, of course, my prefered colour) and a shawl. For good measure, I shortened my canine teeth. They were still unaturally long, but I wasn't about to give up part of who I was.
Once inside the city, we were jostled by people hurrying about their buisness. Shabby booths lined the streets, selling everything from bread to jewelery. I wanted to stop at one of the diamond stalls. They had some peices that would look lovely with my tiara. But Riku dragged me along.
It occured to me that we didn't know how to find this dark object. Riku solved that. He held what appeared to be a mini NaviSearch. A little screen looked to be some sort of radar, and every now and then it would beep. Riku glanced at it, then headed off down a dark alley.
We followed the alleys as they snaked their way around the city. We didn't look out of place with our worn coats, but we tried to keep out of sight anyways. The alleys were dirty and cramped, but I felt somewhat at home. The fading paint on the walls reminded me of my city, on Carthea. The city was ancient, mostly ruins, but we never bothered to fix any of it. The cracked buildings were just a part of our world.
Finally, the alleys led us to the Palace at the center of the city. Large pale stone topped by a colourful dome, it was an impressive sight. I started towards it, but Riku grabbed my arm. "We can't just go waltzing into a palace," he said. "And anyways, I might be remembered. The last time I was here... I might not be welcome." he shifted uncomfortably.
I was interested to hear what Riku did to be unwlcomed, (good little Riku with all his politness did something bad?) but I shrugged him off. "Don't be silly." I said. "We're not going in through the front." I headed around the palace. Riku didn't like it, but he followed me anyways.
Behind the palace we met the outer wall. It was large, made to keep out intruders, but it's height didn't faze me. We had larger cliffs back home in my city. I scaled the wall in a matter of seconds. I must've looked inhuman. That was before I realized I could have just walked through the wall, or even burn a hole through it. A quick blast of fire made an opening large enough for Riku to walk through.
On the other side was the very boring back of the Palace, and a little shed. Surprisingly, the NaviSearch beeped at the shed. I shrugged, and opened the door.
The small space appeared to be full of junk. Barrels and crates stacked against the walls held old clothing, and the boxes in the middle of the floor were filled with old tools. The NaviSearch led us to a chest with a heavy lock on it. Riku took out his strange weapon, wich he called a keyblade, and tapped the lock. It sprang open at once. I reached in and pulled out... a lamp.
Shiny gold, there was nothing dark about it. I stared at it angrily. "A lamp? The supposed powerful dark object is a LAMP!?" I threw it back into the chest. I didn't see it tremble violently or hear the shouts coming from within. "This is ridiculous!"
Riku looked at the lamp. "Hey, that looked like the lamp..."
"A lamp? That's sad. And I came all this way because I thought you found something good."
I spun around. The speaker was Olix, wearing her normal black dress over baggy breeches gathered below the knees.
"Olix," I sneered. "So you're against me? I hoped we would never be enemies. We plotted together, but everything ends eventually."
Olix tossed her head angrily, her silver eyes flashing. "I don't want the light, Takil, but I do want our people free. We have the same goal, but we follow different paths. I can deal with that. I've been following you on a stolen gummiship, but you aren't going anywhere useful. I'll just have to find Carthea on my own." She smiled abruptly, her evil simle. "At least I won't be alone. Vocabo?"
"What?" Riku blurted, but for once I didn't say anything. I was too busy staring at the man who stepped out from behind Olix. He was tall and wiry, but stooped over with age. Knarled hands with long fingers ran through his long silver hair. "Takil!" he shouted with glee. "How lovely to see you, m'dear!"
Working moisture into my mouth, I tried to say something. "Hello, Vocabo," I said faintly. "How did you get out?"
Olix smiled at my obvious discomfort. She knew about Vocabo. "I let him out of the darkness." she said. "It was a fluke, really, and I probally won't be able to do it again. I opened ahole into the darkness, and I got Vocabo." she grimaced. "He wasn't my first choice, but now i see he's quite obedient." she looked at him almost fondly, like a trainer looking at her favourite pet.
Vocabo wasn't paying any attention to Olix. "Takil, my pretty," he purred. "Won't you come to me?" When I didn't move, he stepped toward me. "Of course, I'll come to you." He took another step.
Riku was in front of me in a flash. "Leave her alone!" He shouted.
Vocabo's face contorted. "You will not keep me from my Takil, boy!" he screeched. black flames flew from his fingertips.
Riku blocked them easily with his keyblade. The flames bounced off and hit the ceiling. Before we knew it, the whole roof was on fire. And with a groan, it collapsed on us.
Shaking off rubble, I leaped on Olix, who was just picking herself up. Now was my time to attack. She saw me and rolled out of the way. Coughing up dust, she straightened and aimed a fireball at my face. I dodged it, laughing. "Olix, you are so predictable." Enraged, Olix threw another fireball. Black fire splintered on a wall of black ice. This battle was with dark magic, now. We were both taught how to fight with our hands and feet, but dark magic was the signature of our race. I dodged another fireball and ran into Vocabo. He cried out and tried to grab me, but Riku rained attack after attack on him, and they danced away.
I turned just in time to miss another fireball. Lightning arced from my open plam and hit Olix squarley in the chest. She fell, dazed and twitching. Vocabo was also on the ground, apparently unconsious. Riku walked up beside me. "You actually defeated Vocabo, kid. He was one of the most powerful magicians in my wolrd. You must be lucky." I said. He heard the compliment buried in that, and smiled. "Thanks. We should probally go, before the guards come running."
I nodded. I gathered my shawl, wich had fallen off when the shed collapsed, and together we made our way back to the gummiship.
End of chapter three! I need to get more people to comment; I don't want to kill this thread. But as long as I have one fan, I'll keep writing. Anyways, hope you enjoyed that chapter, I finally put a battle in there. I'll try to keep it going in the future. Thanks again, comments and critism wanted, and have a nice day! Hugs!
I'm working on, so I'll think they'll come in. Right now, it's just Riku and Takil. I find it easy with the more people I make up, but it wouldn't be a fanfic without the Kh characters =D The next chapter will be while up soon, but maybe not until this Friday.
