Fellow Kingdom Hearts VA Ben Diskin (best known as Young Xehanort) joins the main Pokémon anime today in Horizons as Paldea gym leader/Elite Four member Larry. He previously was in the Generations shorts as Lance and the Pokémon Masters mobile game.

Amusingly the third recent dub he's been in with Billy Bob Thompson - the other two being Mars Express and Ghost Cat Anzu (where he voiced a frog, coincidentally Billy Bob also voices a frog with Greninja in Pokemon).

so odd how many union actors they've been picking up in the dub only for it to still have the same abysmal mixing and written-for-children-only dialogue. I feel like Pokemon is leaving a lot of money on the table with how they do their dub, considering the ultra massive adult fanbase Pokemon has.

I'm not saying make it for adults, but the show has a pre-school cadence to it, along with incidental music that always, always drowns out what the actors are saying. shit is not crisp at all.

It's been like this since it moved away from 4kids. I wonder if its an intentional in house decision. The flanderisation just keeps getting worse with every passing season.

Here's a question for you: who voices Selphie?
Molly Marlette (who otherwise is called Glume Harlow) voiced Selphie in Kingdom Hearts I and II (and Re: Chain of Memories via archival audio). However, given the passage of time from the release of those games, I am unsure if she would be able to reprise the character.

Otherwise known as Molly Keck? Which is the credit given in KH1.

She also doesn't have any spoken lines, archived or otherwise, in Chain of Memories.
