Leonard Nimoy may not return due to being in retirement. Though that didn't stop him from being in Transformers 3, and that Bruno Mars Music Video, so he may come back.

He retired from acting, no? Sure, he made those appearances, but he never retired from Voice Acting.

He has not been replaced.I think he is lying, considering Epcar and Jesse both heavily implied that all recording on the game was finished or near finished.

I'd say he's trying to cover his ass since there's certainly an NDA involved. He may feel that saying nothing will help him out, who knows?

That's the reason why I think he's doing that. Makes no sense though, Epcar's announcement is still up. If it was an issue, S-E would have told him to take it down and note say anything else about it.

Ooh, all this sleuth work trying to figure out which VAs are lying, who's telling the truth and who simply doesn't know... I love it! I never knew so much suspense and drama could be involved in just figuring out who's in this game. *fetches popcorn*

Yeah, I'm gonna agree the possibilty that Flynn is lying. He's been known to be cryptic before. In fact, I think BBS was the only game he outright confirmed he was coming back. With Re:Com and Days he gave a cryptic answer. Not to mention the fact that in his post he even states that he thinks the game is coming out later in the year. I don't think he would have known that if he wasn't working on it.

I have to agree that he might be lying. I also think that voice actors are kept out of the loop (it's obvious we seem to know more than they do at times, like when it comes to announcements, press releases, and trailers)

One voice actor may have been contacted to say it is okay to break the news about their role, while another could still be under an NDA if they signed at a different time or just haven't got the memo. Then you have somebody like Jesse David Corti who didn't seem to really care about the NDA because he was blabbing the second somebody said TWEWY and KH in a sentence xD

I'm hoping in the coming weeks we get a press release detailing the voice actors that will be making an appearance. They won't list them all, but they will have the principle cast and any "all-star" actors that will be in the game. Y'know, like the BBS press release that came out after GameStop leaked that piece of trailer with Nimoy speaking.

Leonard Nimoy being retired from something doesn't necessarily mean they can't or won't do work. Nimoy just wants to enjoy his retirement by not being tied down to some project contractually.

Humm, I was reading the Facebook convo between Richard Epcar and yaochan and I realized something - Richard kinda tricked him:

Andrew Tetris Pro Altieri:
-Hey Richard, Are you able to reveal like, how far the recording is done in the game?
-Oh I forgot to mention, the game is Kingdom Hearts, woops.

Richard Epcar:
-As far as I know all recording on this is complete.

We can't be sure Richard was talking about 3D...

What other Kingdom Hearts game is there that is coming out soon? :\ No way would Richard would be tricky like that and take "Kingdom Hearts" literally as KH1. He is very forward with his fans. If he can't say something, he won't. If he can, he will. If you mention a general title of the project he is currently working on in an inquiry, he'll be talking about the current project.

It actually says the plan is to get every VA back, not most.

And possibly Demi Moore as well.

Wait... Is Nomura implying the voice actors that have voiced in the Disney movies or the voice actors in KH? Because I don't recall Demi Moore in KH.. It would be cool if she had though.

I think that might be the safest thing to assume. The "I sure hope to!" is probably actually to divert our expectations so he doesn't get in trouble with his NDA. I'm going to go with that now because it makes the most sense considering the other VA's responses.

Doesn't an NDA only really take effect once the thing the NDA is for begins?

I mean, to me this means that he either is recording now or has finished, and can't talk about it until the game is released.

NDAs generally start the second you sign them. Recording or not, if they've agreed to a project and signed that little piece paper (they can sign an NDA but not have signed any other contracts) they are bound by it.

I don't know if you all have discussed this and all, cause I am not reading all 63 pages. But anyway, it is not much confimation more of a rumor but on wikipedia Haley Joel Osment is listed to voice Sora/Vanitas in KHDDD and Jesse McCartney is listed as voicing Ventus/Roxas. i just thought it should be known. It kinda goes without saying that they would return, but it's good to confirm it anyway. Like with Namine they could have changed voice actors.
