Re: The Organization's Beginning
Ok, I'm so sorry guys, it's been too long! Here it is! Chapter 8!!!
Chapter 8: The Change
As the man faded away, a piece of paper floated towards them from where he previously stood. Dilan picked it up and read it. “Axel” ha said to the others.
“Same to you”, said Even jokingly.
“His name?” asked Xehanort.
“Yeah. Here”, said Dilan as he handed over the piece of paper.
“Oh. Wait, what’s this?” exclaimed Xehanort as he noticed something seemingly on the paper.
“It looks like a scroll… only the end of it though”, said Aeleus, as he poked it.
“Hmm… hold on!”
Xehanort had managed to pull out the scroll from the paper. As he began to unroll it, Ienzo let out a rather large gasp.
“Ienzo!” yelled out Aeleus and Even simultaneously.
But as Ienzo woke up, Dilan began to return to his former self. “Dilan! You ok?” said Xehanort as he saw Dilan hit the floor from behind the scroll.
“Yeah, but I feel… normal again”
“You look different too, yet you still look yourself…”
“Maybe it has to do with Ienzo waking up…”
“He awoke?” he exclaimed as he looked around to find Ienzo.
And there he was, looking happy as usual.
“Ienzo!”
“Huh? Oh, hey there!” said Ienzo in return, waving happily at Xehanort.
“Come on, we should get out of here” said Aeleus as he picked up Braig.
“Good idea, I’m starting to freeze in here!” exclaimed Ienzo.
“You need a hand?” asked Dilan.
“Please” said Ienzo with a large smile on his face.
So Dilan pulled him upright, and handed him one of his lances.
“Might as well put these to use, hey?” said Dilan, looking happy for the first time, as far as Ienzo knew.
“Where are they from?” asked Ienzo, tilting his head.
“Me” said Dilan bluntly.
“Oh… I must have missed a lot then!”
“Yeah, you only missed your beast chasing down Braig, then changing into a giant Heartless, then me changing and being able to control the wind, then this guy showing up and helping me take it down… So, you didn’t miss that much at all” he said with another large grin.
“Oh… Alright then! You pretty much summed it up I suppose?”
“Yeah, that’s about it”
And with that, they followed the others up the stairs, back to the laboratory. But they arrived to see Ansem standing in the lab with a very serious look on his face.
“Where have you all been?” he questioned.
“The manufactory” said all five in unison, just like at school.
“And why were you there?”
“Well, sir” started Xehanort” We heard a noise that came from there, so we went to investigate”
“You expect me to believe that nonsense? You have been gone for hours!”
“Well…umm…you see…”
They were all lost for words. Even started shuffling his feet around.
“Well? Wait… is… is that Braig?” said Ansem, looking at the body over Aeleus’ shoulder.
“He was knocked out before when…”
But this time Even was cut off by Ansem.
“How? Unless he fell down the stairs, there is no possible accidental way he could have been knocked out!”
“Well, it was my fault sir” said Braig groggily from under his coat.
“Was it now? Explain please”
“We were –“
As Braig began his sentence, the six began to shift around, but not on their own accord.
“What’s happening? said Ienzo at no one in particular.
“Who’s there? Ienzo?” said Dilan, trying very hard to see in the darkness around him.
“Dilan? Where are you?”
“I don’t know… Where’s everyone else?
“I’m here” said Braig.
“Ugh… Me too” said Even.
“Where’s Aeleus and Xehanort?” said Ienzo, worriedly.
“I…I don’t know… I’m more worried about where we are too…” said Braig.
“Yeah… Wait… I think we’ve been here before…” said Even.
“It does seem somewhat familiar…” said Dilan.
Then the darkness began to shift around in front of them, changing shape and colour.
“Where are we now? said Even, feeling queasy.
“I’m not… Is that a castle?” said Dilan, pointing at the large structure in the distance.
They hadn’t realised they were suspended in mid air until they felt their feet touch the ground in an alley.
“It’s pretty dark around here…” said Even, chuckling a little.
“Yeah… I think we should move, I can feel something coming…” said Dilan.
The “something” that was coming wasn’t anything of the good sort… Blood was due.
