Pre-Fall Storyline:
What does it mean to stand the test of time anyways? Does it mean you survived? Did you leave an imprint on the book of history? Are you remembered in the hearts of others?
Regardless of the answer, the fact still remains that Serathlia, once a powerful city-state, failed in its test.
It was a grand place. High walls protected the city, with its design unlike anything else. It flew in the skies as a massive floating island, a venerable paradise within. Magic ruled here, and life flourished. However, as with all power, there was corruption. Others without it decided that they were going to take that power, and distribute it amongst themselves to garner the full power of Serathlia's magics.
Only problem was: They failed, though only in the course that the fighting reduced the city they were fighting for to ashes and rubble. In a magical cataclysm, the city was destroyed, and its inhabitants were either dead, dying, or missing. The island that housed the city, as well was what was left, fell into a vast open plain and destroyed it, turning a massive crater into a desert.
But there was still power to be had. And of course, magical residue like that is going to lure monsters to that area. Not that it's stopped anyone.
Present Day Storyline:
It was a night to be remembered. It was the coming of age party for one Eikre Dar'Nell. There was great fun, and awesome music. In the interests of giving back to the community that had housed him for so long, he gathered his friends to a table, and laid out a map that was given to him as a present by his uncle.
It was a map to, and inside, the fabled ruins of Serathlia.
Not questioning where it had come from, nor questioning the danger, the only topic being heard at that table for hours after he had unrolled the map was the adventures and the loot to be had inside the ruins. Rare magical doohickeys and weapons aplenty were inside, waiting to be claimed!
They agreed to meet again at this table again tomorrow at noon to begin the adventure of a lifetime.

Serathlia in a nutshell:
This is a very easy plot line to get. In a medival-fantasy era, there was this flying city-state thingie, and it was LOADED with magic and power. Obviously, somebody didn't like that, and decided to try and shift that power, and failed spectacularly, resulting in the destruction of most of the inhabitants, and portions of the town, and the whole damn island crashed down to earth. Now, generations after the incidents had been wiped from the memories of others short of legends, a group of young'ns think they can go in and loot the place.
We're the youngsters. Simple as that.
Rules
1)I'm new here, but I know this is "Advanced". PROVE IT.
2)HAVE FUN OR GTFO.
3)You will be young, even if you're an Elf. Thus your life will be quite short, and relatively uneventful. And you will have friends, so no emo stuffs.
4)No super awesome weapons/armors/spells/abilites. With luck, you'll be getting these in the rp anyways.

6)Somewhere in your profile, include the word "sunshine". Don't just put it at the top of your profile, actually use the word sunshine.
7) Keep this at a PG-13 level, 'k? No massive details about inner organs, no details about how steamy you inn stay was. There really is no need for all of that.

Appearance: Eikre stands about five and a half feet tall, and has got the thickness of a month old sapling. Starting from the top, he's got a mop of silvery-white hair and a rat-tail that's about shoulder length, with sky-blue eyes.
Personality: Eikre is a rather energetic lad with a happy-go-lucky sense of optimism. He's always ready to try something new, or to jump in the fray to help out a buddy. If curiosity could kill a cat, then it's all very well that Eikre is not feline, otherwise he would have used up all nine lives by now. Eikre is sure of himself, and perhaps is unaware of a little ego developing inside of him, but tries to bring up people around him while he's a it. He's a little absent-minded, and compulsive, but we all have our blemishes.
History: Eikre was born to a pair of rangers that defending the surrounding country side from small threats and the like. When the kid Eikre was growing up, he was always getting into trouble, usually on "an adventure", like his parents used to. This wasn't helped out at all by an "uncle" that had adopted Eikre while his parents were gone for some reason. A couple of years ago, Eikre discovered he could cast magic through focus and sheer will. Prodded on by his elvish mother, who approved of the magic coursing through his veins, Eikre began to train himself to the point where he could cast a load of simple spells by simply shaping the magic in his head. Then, on his coming of age party, his uncle had given him a map to, and inside of, the fabled Serathlia. This provided the ultimate adventure for him, and so he gathered his friends (And a few other interested) to discuss going there.
Job: Sorcerer
Skills:A diverse set of siimple spells, but occasionally gets lucky with power surges.
Weapon: A simple punching dagger
