I am enjoying myself. I find the new additions and gameplay changes to be very refreshing, despite having been concerned about it.

This may be premature to ask considering I don't know where you are in the story but which system do you prefer (not taking into account screen size because iPhone and iPad vastly differ in that category but they are still the same game).

I THINK it's because the devices that aren't compatible literally can't run Twewy SR due to lacking specs. I could be wrong though.

Well, on the older models of the iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad, the processor is not powerful enough to run newer games, not to mention the graphics card can't handle it.

That isn't the problem with TWEWY, though, since the newest model of the iPod Touch should be able to run the game just fine...but for unknown reasons it is unsupported.

xD j/k that's really hard to answer. I love the DS version and it's pixels and dual screens and light puck action and the entire stride battle cross system and the LQ music and voices. It was all charming, and perfect. I also love the HQ voices and music, graphics, art, and having battle on one screen. DS version will always be the best to me, but the iOS version is definitely great in its own right.

I read somewhere that it's because the iPT4 doesn't have enough RAM, but I have 35 MB~ free when I run it on my iPT4, so idk.
I also read that SE may have added the flash dependency to prevent people from installing the iPhone version on their iPads. If they want to play on their iPad (without modding the .ipa + jailbreaking their idevice), they're forced to buy the iPad version.

EDIT: The requirement for the camera flash, when they don't even use the camera, is against the Apple's Dev License Agreement. Apple could make them remove the flash dependency.

I thought you guys might be interested in reading a little mini review I ended up writing for this game in an IGN forum:

After playing through the DS version (which is my favorite game) and the iOS version, I have to say I really like them both but actually kind of prefer the iOS version. I know, 'gasp, I'm a traitor', right? Not really. It turns out I actually really dig some of the changes they made. All of the new music is fantastic and the graphics really pop. The main difference between the two games is the general layout of the menus (I like both equally as they were designed specifically for each platform) and the battle system.

Really the only thing that the iOS version is missing from the original is the top screen gameplay. The top screen gameplay of the DS version was definitely an interesting feature but I wouldn't call it the defining feature of the game. Far from it. The game has way more going for it than that one feature so boiling down the game's worth to that is an insult.

Before you go making assumptions that the lack of top screen gameplay makes the game objectively 'worse', I urge you to at least try it on a buddy's iPhone who has it, or just take my word for it: it's not 'worse', it's just different. The partner actions are assigned to a pin that you activate by tapping enemies. Attacking enemies at the same time as your partner builds up sync points which can be used for a combo attack. Every combo attack is preceded by a little mini game that has you tapping numbers or cards or whatnot in order to increase the attack power of the combo. It's different for every partner character. It's a clever way of implementing the top screen mini games from the DS version.

It's pretty clear that this remix of the game was designed very carefully to work well on iOS. It really is a remix, an alternate version of the game. I wouldn't call either version objectively superior but I would say that they are equally different. I liked some aspects of the iOS version better than the DS version and vice versa.

tldr: Both versions of the game are excellent. I prefer the iOS version because it adds features while only 'eliminating' one: the top screen gameplay. It DOES however implement the top screen partner character actions and mini games in clever and fun ways, so it's not even a total sacrifice.

Yes, you would be able to. iPhone apps work fine on the iPad, the only ones that don't work are ones that have a certain dependency, like camera flash, telephony, stuff like that.
People who have modded the .IPA and removed the camera flash dependency from the .plist say it works fine on their iPads.

Definitely doing the report a problem thing. It's ridiculous that the game won't play on an iPod Touch.

ATM, only works with iPhone 4 & 4S, and iPad 2 & 3.
