to import, or not import....i have questions

Ok, so as the title says, I'm thinking about importing FMII+. The three reasons I am hesitant are listed below:


1) I don't speak japanese.....in some cutscenes I've seen, the subtitles are in japanese and the english is spoken (i have no problem with that), but in others, everything is japanese. Someone who has the game, can you please tell me which is true?

2) Since this is a japanese game, will I need a japanese PS2? Or will it work on an american one?

3) I still have that small hope that it will come to america. Guess I might have to wait till I hear something else.....

I don't have the game, but I can answer your questions.

1) The spoken cutscenes are in English. But the scenes with dialogue boxes and the newly added scenes are in written japanese.

2) You will need to either mod your PS2, buy a japanese PS2, or buy swap magic. The coding on the disc won't read on an American Playstation.

Ok.............darn. Guess I better start scraping some money together. And as for "swap magic"....what is that? Sorry if I sound like an idiot, I'm not that up-to-date on technology. And what would you recommend I do to mod the PS2?

Swap Magic is a disc you insert into your PS2 that allows you to play import games, it requires slide tools, you know what just look up the user Dogenzaka go under the threads he started and then click on his importing FaQ or you just read the sticky thread.
