I think Unbirths are made of something, lets say a soul, that exists before its time,
coming to the world unnaturally. Nomura stated that Unbirths came to be unnaturally.

Nobody (Nothing)
Unbirth (Never Been Born/Not Born)

All these beings exist (existed), and in the Nobodies case, existed without an identity.

I like to think Unbirths are a Nobody/Heartless hybrid... In that Unbirths arent really anything in the sense that Nobodies are nothing but Unbirths have something, so they aren't pure Nobodies, also, Unbirths don't have hearts ( may not be true, but a heart is a physical object created during birth, and a soul is more spiritual), similar to the Heartless who have corrupt hearts.

If you based a theory on something someone else came up with, credit should be shared regardless of whether or not the theory ends up being true.

How would the soul be, if not through a whole being? In which case, this would mean the unbirth coming to be meant someone died, and let's not go there.

Only Heartless are the Hearts. The name comes to indicate that despite being the Hearts, they lack everything the Heart is suppose to give you, being Identity and Feelings. Both are cut off and suppressed by the Darkness.

Problem being that death/pre-life was something never really explored in KH due to controversy of the issue. And soul on its own cannot be a being as the cosmology of KH dictates that the soul is basically the 'battery' to the body. Take the soul away the body dies, it has no real "makeup" if you will.

Problem being that it's just a play on words. Heartless are the hearts of those beings corrupted by darkness, they garnered their name due to their nature--taking others hearts without remorse, other emotions etc.

Nobodies on the other hand are the body and soul of a being; the left overs of what creates a heartless.

Again, more likely a play on words, for if they did not exist how can they come to be in reality?

True, that's mainly due to the fact that the heart holds the memories, in turn the identity.

Well they're the precursors to the heartless and nobodies so naturally they would share traits such as their fluid yet darker design scheme. Still, I wouldn't so much as to say that they're hybrid beings. But like I said previously heartless= are hearts. So I can't really expand on the rest of your explanation.

I always thought that Unbirths were like Pureblood Nobodies/Heartless that are now extinct because of Xehanort testing on them. I mean look at the sign. It looks kinda like a Heartless symbol. And because they are extinct Xehanort created his own Nobodies/Heartless.

Except Unbirths existed before Nobodies and Heartless did and therefore couldn't have been made as a result of breeding.

Also The nobody heartless split is the result of a normal living being who's heart surrendered to darkness. they then become a heartless and a corresponding Nobody is made for them. To assume that a nobody and a heartless could be bred would probably mean they formed another LIVING being

not an unbirth.

Unbirths and Nobodies don't co-exist at the same time though. Unbirths seem to have become extinct before the first Heartless was created, and that's the earliest point in which Nobodies could've been created.
Hence, there's no contradiction.

A human being becoming a Heartless is actually a 'natural' event. It can happen on its own if there is enough Darkness present.

Xehanort only created the machine after he witnessed the 'natural' birth of pure-blood Heartless. So why couldn't the Unbirths be born 'naturally'?

Even if they were artificial some didnt have the unbirth emblem on them so maybe it is also a natural occurrence.
