were the drives necessary

i just want everyones opinion on the drives. were they really necessary in the game? i loved them and all but i never really used them. maybe they should have made the bosses harder and make it were you needed to use a form to fight, but they didnt. so like the name of the topic says were the drives necessary?

In some things, they were. In one of the colliseum battles, (one of the timed ones) the only way I could beat it was to use Master form and use thandaga like crazy.

They were only good during Underdrome/paradox Cup Battles, and some bosses, but I never used 'em too much either.

if the game were harder they would just about be required. but the game was easy i was sort of afraid to use them most of the time because i didn't want to turn into antiform. so i used them on boss fights and that's it.

Master form was useful. It had the best Thundaga, so I used it to take down plenty of nobodies.

They were useless only to level faster. They should take them out and let us use two keyblades all we whant to make it more fun.

Yeah, that is what I thought too, I used mainly Master, like 122 times by the end of the game I think... Oh well.

I think they were necessary. It would be to easy if you dual-weilded all the time. The drives added stradegy with each forms strengths and weakness's.

The drives weren't "necessary", but they were convenient! it was awesome being able to use their abilities and comboes and magic. I think they made them for fun, and gave them levels so you'd want to lvl it up and use it longer and stronger. I liked them all its hard to say which was my favorite!

I wouldn't say Drive Forms were necessary, but they were DAMN WELL HELPFUL. I mean, many bosses might have been a challenge without Drive, but you can still conquer it. PLUS, they gave you abilites if you leveled them. High Jump, Quick Run, Aerial Dodge and Glide were AWSOME, only obtainable by leveling up your forms! So in a sense, they were neseccary.

Like the fight where you fought Axel with two keyblades without a limited amount of time. (that was one of my favorite parts in the game)

Anyways, for me, the drives weren't neccesary. Just for fun. I could go through the whole game without using them. (same thing goes for magic)

the duel wielding wasnt that powerful most of the keyblades attack power was like 3 there were what like 5 keyblades whose attack power was over 5. the use of the abilities of the forms could have been given to us as one of the bonuses for defeating a boss. i personally think if roxas can use two keyblades without using a form then why cant sora they are one in the same after all

I thought that the drives were very entertaining, but the game was already easy and I usually never thought about them so I never used them. I can only remember needing to use any of the forms once, it was Master form on the solar sailor.
