I'll admit to being one of the crazy and rare fans who, for the most part, usually loves everything that KH brings to the table.
That being said, though, I feel like KHIII will only be good, if not just okay (though I know I'll still probably really, really enjoy the game, even so).
Though I LOVE the story for Kingdom Hearts, I'll admit that the execution--and them treating certain things the way that they should be treated--always seems to fall short.
Granted, I think they have been trying to improve since KHII. DDD, for instance, had the characterizations all where they should be for the most part, but...
The fact is that KHIII has a hella lot to address, and I'd be lying if I said I think it can all fit in there in a good and satisfying way. The fact that KH Chi stuff is being added to an all ready convoluted mess doesn't help things, either.
Knowing Nomura, he'll
try to answer everything that he can, but I'm worried it'll end up feeling like KHII did in that regard: being very fragmented and disjointed (in like how Nomura-san tried to piece all of the lines found at the end of the ASAS secret ending into the game, I mean).
I'm also nearly certain that this game will end up being similar to what "The Blood of Olympus" was to the "Heroes of Olympus" series. I do think that Nomura WILL try to answer everything, and finish everything, that needs it in the last game of the Xehanort saga...
BUT I don't put it past him at all to implant a lot of questions that will make you all ready begin questioning the
next saga. Which
technically wouldn't be breaking the rules or his promise, so to speak. But it'll still be somewhat maddening that everything that was put into question in this saga wasn't put to rest withinit.
IDK. I could be wrong. But seeing as how Nomura loves to hint at future installments (and seeing how I bet SquareEnix will want him to ensure that the fans will come back next time)...I'm probably not.
But if nothing else, I don't doubt that the game will be be very fun to play, entertaining, and worthy of its Triple A title, nonetheless
