I was pretty much excited to see Vanitas, Terra, Ventus and Master Xehanort mainly because when I saw the KH2FM secret ending, I immediately knew that MX was the most awesome old man in video game history. For Terra, it was because I wanted to see how he connected with the armored dude in KH2FM and for Ventus, I wanted to see if he would clear the mystery as to why Roxas looks nothing like Sora. As far as Disney characters go, I was excited to see the cast of Lilo and Stitch as I have wanted that movie to be in the series ever since KH1.
