Jeez, your on lvl 99 (at least that's what it looks like) and he still does that one hit that leaves you with only 1 hp.
This is why I prefer to fight the bosses with Ven.

a good level to beat him on with ven is like 70.
just do this and you'll be able to beat mf and vs easily.

for vanitas sentiment, all you have to do is use strike raid behind a rock. it's cheap, I know, but it works.
for mf, I got all thunder surges and two curaga's.

Oh! Wait...actually...probably the biggest upset in all of Kingdom Hearts history, more than Mysterious Figure could ever hope to be.
In Halloweentown in KH1, as soon as you entered Oogie's Manor there was a Red Trinity Mark on the door. Me, thinking I could come back and get it later, went on to defeat Oogie and his Manor. The problem is, after you beat him, the house collapses with the mark inside. Sure, the Mythril inside the chest behind the trinity mark could be gotten below the manor afterwards...but your journal would NEVER be 100% complete. Why you ask? Because in your journal...the spot where that Red Trinity mark was supposed to be crossed off, it wouldn't because technically you never used it. Sure you got the item which is what is important, but NO! Your journal is screwed over!!!! STUPID SE... -__-

Yeah it kinda sucked how in KH1 you couldn't get the triniities if you had someone other than donald and goofy. That's another thing they should touch upon in the remake (if there is one, of course)--the ability to change your characters even though there's isn't a save.
i tried this and it didnt work for me, he kept running around the rock...

Hurr durr, BONK NO. Level almost doesn't matter in BbS, only abilites and Deck Commands do. Leveling-Up doesn't get you Once More and Second Chance. Two very essential abilites.

Um leveling up does matter. If you don't level up, your strength, magic, and hp are shit.
Yeah, that does happen sometimes. You just have to go around the rock so he can't attack you. And I reccommed at least using potions, so when he does get you you won't die the next time you get hit.
Trust me. I beat him the first time using this trick.

HP is leveled-up through Deck Commands. When you level-up and equip specific Deck Commands, your HP gauge becomes longer. But Strength and Magic are enhanced through leveling-up, but luck, strategy and Deck Commands are the only things that really matter. They are essentials. And this went from what bothers you in Kingdom Hearts to the MF hate club.

When KHII first came out I had terrible trouble beating Demyx for some reason. It was probably the worst experience of stress I've had over a Square game. I also found the final boss battle in KHII difficult as well.

Ok, let me tell you where you are wrong: HP does not get leveled through deck commands. As you level up, your HP, strength and magic become better. You may be confused of the ability HP boost (or something on the lines of that; I can't remember the name) that makes your HP bigger.
Ever wonder why your HP is low on critical mode? Because since you can't level up, your HP stays the same unless you beat a boss or certain fights.
tl;dr: leveling up deck commands to have better HP, as you claim, does not work. I don't know what gave you that notion in the first place.
Somewhere around level fifty.
When it comes to Demyx I might be the luckiest person in the world (something I am not when versing MF) because I have faced him 3 times (once for myself, my brother, and my brother's friend) and I don't know how I did it, but Demyx's second form has yet to hit my Sora ever O_O
However, when it comes to Vanitas' Sentiment, certain rocks don't work, the rock that worked for me all 3 times was the rock directly behind you, it is one of the many rocks by the edge of the cliff. I think it has two ditches in it on both sides, that way Vanitas stays in place xP
