Someone did a retelling of RE2 with preDMC3 Dante instead of Leon.
If Capcom wants to do a third version of RE2, I'd be down for it.
I'm not against a DMC3 remake. We could get a better Vergil campaign. It's a bit of let down because he doesn't have any unique stages or bosses. He doesn't even fight Dante. So a DMC3 remake might as well fix that.
It would be cool if Lady and Arkham had campaigns but that might be too indulgent/impractical.
There was a manga that acted as a prequel to 3. So you could adapt that as a DLC campaign. Lady and Arkham were involved so maybe you could adapt it from their perspective?
You could always try remaking the reboot. Put it in the DMC canon "Case West" style. But that's something they should've done in the first place.
If anything you could also have DmC Dante be Dante's human half. It makes about as much sense as V being Vergil.
DMC4's budget was cut in half. So we could get some new Dante bosses.
