I like Terra and everything, but he's not as awesome as Ven and Aqua. Terra's attitude is typical Nomura emo hero. lol.

And his gameplay/story isnt as interesting as Van and Aqua's either :/

Aqua's the main character of the game, but the story pretty much revolves around Terra. Ven is the plot device.

I actually like Terra, but I can see why people don't like him, but I like him as a character. His fighting style I am more equipped to than Ven's or Aqua's.

Right now I'm playing Aqua, and the transition from Terra - Ven wasn't bad for me, but when I went to Aqua wasn't good at all haha.
That's why Terra's my favorite, mainly for Gameplay reasons, but story wise, ya, I liike villains, so more points for him.

I'd rather have had the game be what seemed like they were planning before, with Terra actually helping Maleficent.
But oh well, they made him a good guy who was tricked into submission into the darkness.
Kinda different from Riku, since he submitted for power to protect.
Terra did it because he was tricked into it, but turned it around as a power...he was a tad power mad you can say.

I like magic more than brute strength, but Terra gets higher points on my scale than Aqua would.

I don't think Terra "sucks" he's my favorite out of the 3.

Same here. I'm not used to relying so much on magic, and Aqua's physical attacks were just so weak. It was kind of frustrating at first, but once you get all the really powerful magic, it's like whoa.

Why is he boring and uninteresting? He fits the fallen hero archtype, which I admit has been used alot, but that in no way makes him boring :/ Terra is fighting the darkness the whole time, he never submits to it. Lol Terra was never emo if ANYTHING Ven was emo ya know the whole put an end to me hur durr thing I have never laughed at any of the dialog. KH isn't funny. If you laugh at it you must be corny as hell no offense. Terra has personality. He is loyal to his friends, and Eraqus' who is basically his father. He has dreams like everyone else. But yeah he is perfect, not hollow, and pretty power crazed but hell nah cliche. He isnt that slow. He is about KH1 Soras speed which isnt slow at all. Maybe you just suck with Terra. Only cool people can rock that rock hard brown haired buff manlyness ness that is terra.



Umm how is him actually being Xemnas and Ansems original selves not mysterious and "new" unless you spoiled yourself. That was VERY unexpected.

People expected that Terra would become Xehanort in some form. Not everyone knew that MX would possess him though. Some thought he would just turn evil.

eventually he does submits to it...and him being loyal to his friends isn't "new" either...thats even more cliche in the KH series

For the record, submitting to darkness and becoming evil are totally different. He did everything he could to help his friends, and yet couldn't succeed. I found his story to be the MOST interesting actually. Screw you people who said you knew everything. You didn't know that he would be decieved by MX for so long, help kill his master, or scar Braig. If you did, I give you credit for foresight.

Terra is one of the greatest KH characters IMO, if not the best. He, Aqua, and Sora are my three favorites.

I don't think anyone said they knew everything. Only thing Allister and I said was that we knew he would become Terranort, we never said we knew how, we just knew would become. That's why he wasn't interesting. His story was mostly the Riku side of KH1, with a few changes here and there.

Not really. I never really liked Roxas to be honest. Ventus may be a Roxas clone in terms of "looks" but personality is much more like Sora than Roxas.

Ven scenario: "WHERE'S TERRA!? D:"
Aqua's scenario: "Terra, what have you done? / He's not going to give in to the darkness"

Yeah... Besides, Ven was advertised that way because he's more recognizable. And if the other two of the three spend almost the entirety of their scenario wondering where exactly the the other one is or what he's doing, then at least imo, that's enough to consider him fairly important.

Regarding main character status, it's definitely Aqua, since she's been officially confirmed to be in that position.

Personally I HATED TERRA to me it seemed like in all trailers he was posed as the one that goes evil, the bad guy, the killer, blah blah blah. I hated him. My favorite was Aqua because I favor Magic. however, after beating Terra's Story Line I found out that all the thing he did were for the best intentions just at times it seemed fishey or bad because of certain characters in the story line (*cough* Xea..... *cough*) I haven't started Aqua yet but I still favor her more because again I favor Magic. Ven well hes just there lol like hes in the middle like IDK yet have to beat his stroyline. I never get time to play since im in Marching Band xD.

Terra was perfectly in control of his darkness when he fought Eraqus. He knew exactly what he was doing when he released his darkness, and chose to do it anyway, because Eraqus was trying to kill both him and Ven, and heck if he was going to let that happen.

Besides, Eraqus would have just been winded if Xehanort hadn't taken advantage of his weakness to murder him - and Terra was horrified at having to fight him even before that.

The thing that makes that scene so tragic is that it happens just as Terra finally came to a Riku-like understanding of the darkness... only to have that backfire horribly.

And, getting back to the original topic of this thread, there's one simple reason why Terra's not liked as much as he ought to be - no one really understands him to begin with. =/

Okay anyway. i've never heard anyone say they hate Terra, but I don't have him at the top of the chain of character's. Ventus is my favorite character but that's a personal choise lol. Terra would be second. Aqua last. Reason being: Ventus seemed more close to the story of Sora (and I like Sora), and it was pretty sad and like awww.
Terra was pretty cool. Though I felt after playing through Ventus and Aqua's story he didn't care about his friend's as much as they cared about him. I mean Ventus practically loved the dude lol. And Aqua tried to help the whole time, but Terra was like,"I gotta be stronger!!!" I don't hate him. He's just not my favorite. And besides his story was kinda expected on my part. My theory for him was dead on from the very beggining so his story was kinda predictable, but once again fun.
As for Aqua. I absolutely Hated playing as her!!! She was crappy to fight with, in my opinion. And her story kinda seemed like she was just tying up loose ends, like how Maleficent became bad, and how Pete got banished and other stuff like that. She kinda seemes like she wasn't needed other then that. She was kinda the weak point for Ventus too.

Anyway...Terra's epic! He's not the strongest in my opinion, depends on who plays as him. I've seen people wipp terra with Aqua. ANd I've pwned tons of friends with Ventus..Not the strongest. Not the best story but he's really cool nun the less
