where did the term unverse come from?? what happened to unbirths??? i'm sooo confused

Unbirth was a guess at the Japanese name. Nomura revealed the English name, hence the Unbirths were renamed to the Unversed.
^ Indeed, not to mention it's a latin term. As for their existence they're said to be born of "negative emotions", however it's not said if they're created of anything else but that (negative emotions seem to be connected to darkness, so that could also be a key to their creation).
There was a new translation of a Nomura interview, and the unversed was spelled out in english letters in the original japanese text, so there is no doubt about it. Unbirth was just a guess from a previous translation.

^Unbirth did sound better than unverse.
Unverse makes more sense than Unbirth. It also continues with the Latin theme.
^I know it makes more sense but Unbirth does sound cooler.
