what are you guys saying.. 2 is better!
sora's clothes suck in 1 (except for the chain thing in his side)
the story in 2 was more mature (roxas' and the nobodies')
and 2 had jack sparrow! i was surprised when i saw that!
thats it..
RUUUUNN!!! gotta hide from heavy fire!!
It's all just opinions, but overall, more people like KH1 and as far as being a game and a story it was better.

I think someone mentioned this before but: Target Switch (not Target Locking)

As far as I know, it is not in KHII.

KH1 had much more darker atmosphere, IMO. I actually could melt into the plot while playing the first game, but the sequel was made too childish that I sometimes even couldn't watch the cutscenes without feeling humiliation.

KH2 seemed to go by a little to fast, you could beat the worlds fast and the game was too easy overall with the reaction commands. The little things that KH1 had made it better like side missions, optional bosses and trinities. KH2 didnt feel as epic or adventurous as KH1. Im not saying that i dont like KH2, i love it i just wish the would have kept a few things and left a few things *cough* Atlantica, 100 acre wood *cough*.

well kh1 was more on the level of a care free kid who really just has this fun adventure with diseny charecters but then kh2 got super serious with him maturring and realizing whats going on and he gets more serious and all the lands take forever to beat and then they screwed with how everyone looked campared to the previous games and it got to grown up game stlye compared to how the first one was really just about saving princesses and gaining levels

the first game was about a boy on an adventure to find his friends (+ more fantasy)
the second game was about a teenager on a mission to save the world (+ more sci-fi)

that's one thing I like better with the first game

KH1 had Kairi's grandmother, even if only in a flashback. I think she was mentioned once in the KHII journal, but I'm not sure. KHII didn't have ANY family members.

On an unrelated note, the first letters of your username MJS is the initials for my name. Weird.

The puzzles. I loved the fact that we had to figure out what to do and how to do it on our own (like in Wonderland, we had to figure out where the clues were, what room to go to to find Alice's whereabouts, etc.). In KH2, we were handed the information on a silver platter. We didn't have to figure anything out, just follow instructions. :/

Totally miss the side quests. Only side quests KH2 had were the pages and Olympus Coliseum competitions. In KH1, we had the puppies, trinity marks, mini-games, pages, competitions, treasures and stuff that could only be reached after certain moves were learned, etc.

Dodge roll, so very much. ;__; I LOVED that move.

I still love KH2, very much so, in fact. But KH1 is, by far, it's superior.

KH2 lacked incredible character development, plot twists, and quite frankly relevance in the Disney worlds where as KH1 was all about developing sora and co wherever they went. in KH2 the disney worlds were almost filler.

When you played them for the second time, some worlds weren't fillers. But yeah KH1's disney worlds had more relevance to the plot than KH2's disney worlds. And what plot twists did KH1 have? I only remember them from KH2.

1.When they find out the Ansem they defeated in KH1 wasn't the real Ansem
2. When they figure out every time they defeat a heartless they're helping the Organization fill they're goal

Man dodge was so useful; it helped me evade Sephiroth's attacks a plenty. XD;;

Yeah dodge roll was nice, but if they added it in KH2 it would be useless other than making you go faster. For dodging you could just use reaction commands.

take a trip thru kh2fm's critical mode and see how "useless" it is.
