For any Epic Mickey fans, the release date was announced for 9/24/24. Looking forward to checking it out for the first time and scratch the Disney game itch a bit. Reynatis comes out 3 days later, so I can just play them at the same time and pretend they are taking place in an AU of Kingdom Hearts. Lol

Never got to play the Original Epic Mickey, I had a Nintendo Wii but it got pawned off and my Mom forgot to pay the fee so I lost my Wii lol.

I have Epic Mickey 2 on the 360, I think they gave it away as a Games with Gold in the latter half of the 2010s

For Switch owners, it's basically "we have KH at home". EM, Raynatis, Sora in SSBU, Dream Valley, TWEWY, FF1-12+chibi 15, all of the pieces that make up a KH game are there. & yet....

Well it's simple. Arin hates Sonic. After the '06 playthrough, he REALLY hates Sonic but also wants to recapture the 06 shit so he intentionally goes out of his way to play the worst ports of certain Sonic games while also talking down on the series and its characters. SEGA hired him as a sort of spokesperson cuz they thought he was being ironic and doing a bit, but then they fired him later cuz apparently people went that he wasn't really the best guy for this job, but other people think that the reason he got fired was cuz he just straight up said "There are no good Sonic games" on a live show or something. But there's no proof of this event outside of the being fired part, just like there's no proof that he said he could make way better music than Yoko Shimomura.

In fairness, there's plenty to dislike about SA1/2 and Black Knight. The Knuckles/Rouge levels, Big, motion controls, and let's face it, some painfully bad writing not helped by VAs often only getting 1 take for each line and no context around said line.

Sonic in general continues to have a spotty track record where even when Sega has a few good ones, a bad one soon follows (Shadow, 06, Boom, Forces. Arguably Lost World or 3D Blast). Even Frontiers and Superstars had mixed receptions. It's a series that only rarely has all of its act together. Which definitely sours people on it.

That said, shitting on the Genesis trilogy is a bridge too far and Arin's just a lousy gamer overall (is reading on screen tutorials really that damn difficult?!) so of course it tracks that he has bad hot takes.

SA2 is one of my favourite games of all time, but yeah, the non speed levels can be pretty bad, especially the mech sections. But I refuse to believe anyone who's ever played City Escape has had a bad time. It's just a joy the whole way through.

And yeah, someone crapping on the originals is strange to me. They're the reason Sonic has even survived all its failures, and were legitimately rivals to Mario.
