Well, we didn't know that at the time. I forget when the spinoff trilogy was announced, but it wasn't immediately on release.

I'm attending that concert!! My dream is to stalk him and get him to answer all my questions

Fr it does seem like a good way to hit two birds with one stone. The Rebirth concert is on the 10th and D23 has events all weekend - I wonder if it'll line up.

Yeah but the context of the joke is "great, so many years later and we're still waiting for follow up on that KH2 secret ending..."

Incidentally, it's been five years and some since KH3, eclipsing the time between KH2 and BBS (which was just over four years).

Man, this is gonna start such a big drama... The KH2 Secret Ending being discussed AND D23 is in a month? Man, this is gonna be a huge drama between a lot of us. I'm gonna get into such a big beef with some of you over this stuff...

I predict KH4's initial 2022 trailer will appear in a sting reel, but there will otherwise be no news-- the head of Disney's american game division will say that they're so excited about the collaboration with Square Enix and that things are going great (despite actually not having seen anything specific from the game since 2022, just like us).

This will of course, start a huge drama, which I will participate in.

Hahahaha, you fool! Since FF7 has an event going on at the same time, that means KH can't have a damn thing otherwise FF7 will suddenly be shoved in a locker and therefore we have to wait until after a billion other FF7 things for KH to even be mentioned!

Well shit. Guess we have to wait til April of next year then since that’s when the tour is over.

(Watch it actually happen since that’s when Star Wars Celebration is and it’ll be the Star Wars reveal.)

It's more about being continuously strung along as to what KH3 would end up being.

That seems irrelevant to me when you actually are getting the games in question that follow up on those ideas, though. Like, KH2 ends teasing a story about these armor guys, and then you got a game about those armor guys. The name of the game seems besides the point.

Now we don't get anything, lol.

I really would love to see Rebirth win GOTY. It’s still my personal one. My little pipe dream is still for it to be nominated and then have a KH4 trailer that shows Cloud and Sephiroth returning.

Maybe (just maybe) there was some discussion about marketing for KH at future events.
