i feel genuinely sorry for anyone who's been with KH since the beginning and still can't take a news drought or a bad press show in good humor. The unbridled fury towards Geoff for retweeting some KH shit and then deconfirming its presence at SGF was my definitive "we're never gonna make it" moment with this fanbase.

I wasn't around for the KH3 wait as I only started playing the games 2 years ago but I noticed a lotta people in the community are impatient and quick to anger/irritation when it comes to poking fun. Some of us need to lighten up and do something creative during the wait for KH4. Or during the wait for anything, honestly.

Video games may actually fall under Disney Experiences due to the corporate structure. That’s the segment Disney Interactive falls under at least. Unfortunately, that showcase is on the 10th at the same time as the Rebirth concert.
There is a TBA panel, but I’m not getting my hopes up at all for that to be KH related.
Maybe they will be skipping video games in general this year aside from Epic Mickey. But that seems like an odd choice when they have so much in the pipeline.

I don't think that's the implication. I think implication is that if Nomura were to be in the city, the expectation was that he would attend both the concert and D23 if we had a reveal due, rather than one over the other.
I'm not convinced he's going to be in town. The concert already has the composers slated to attend, I feel like they would have announced if the directors of the game were going to be there.

Josh D’Amaro did actually already confirm gaming would be a big part of the Experiences panel on 8/10 for what it’s worth. But I expect the Fortnite thing will likely be a good chunk of that.
You keep saying this despite having no basis. FF7R and KH3 Remind had trailers at the same E3 event in 2019.

There may not be anything significant announced at the Rebirth concert anyways. Like maybe a Rebirth PC release or an Ever Crisis update at most. But I think this one is gonna be more of a celebratory thing for Rebirth and not as much of an announcement venue.

Really it’s just the opening night of the tour. They have made announcements or had special guests at LA concerts in the past too. Yoko Taro for Nier is a recent example aside from the obvious KH ones that Nomura attended. But I think if Nomura was making the trip, it’d more likely be for KH at D23 primarily and attending the concert would just be to show support.
I don’t think there’s anything signaling a big FFVII announcement there.
