seeing the worst of the youtubers hyping up D23 as a possibility to their audience-- I find the 'clown' joke cute, but only when they understand that the joke is truly on them. you can't make the clown joke and then get genuinely angry when you don't get news.

I’m starting to lean away from anything being there too. With Keighley courting visiting Nomura, I would not be surprised if he manages to secure the KH4 re-reveal at TGA. Especially if Nomura will be there to accept in the event of a Rebirth GOTY win.
Plus all of their 2024 releases will be out by then.They’ll have to move on to marketing something by then.
If not there, Star Wars Celebration would be my next bet. But that seems like a slightly weird place to re-reveal the game. Like I’m imagining them showing a trailer and the audience being like “WTF?” until the SW characters show up. If they have one there, it should immediately begin with the Star Wars world. But that would be weird for the re-reveal trailer which should focus on Sora in Quadratum.
Still begs the question of where we’ll see Missing Link though. They’re missing every opportunity to show that game in front of a broader audience. Maybe they’ll just stick to social media marketing, but that seems like it would set the game up for failure.

That’s a nice video. These collections make things so much easier compared to what we had deal with back in the day, all the wikis and videos explaining stuff also makes it so simple. But it makes me sad that the new generation of KH fans will never actually play Days or Recoded, they’ll just watch them.

No doubt that....zero KH stuff is there. Game-related that is. Any KH shit would be in Square's data.

i mean KH3 had a file leak back then too, which leaked/confirmed literally every world in the game pretty much. However, this is a much different kind. I think it's mostly shows/movies leak and obviously tons of extremely personal data that was leaked. Can't imagine many games will be on here, but would be legit sad if KH just so happens to leak through this hack. As much as I know people want news, leaks are just devastating to devs.
Apparently this was floating around on 4chan and...well, nothing in the leak is labeled or in folders, just random text names so you have no idea what you're downloading. So far all that's been found has been full res promo pics for shows and movies.
There's just too much to sift through since there's zero organizing and what is found is ultimately not worth the trouble. Like, fucking MEMES were found before anything noteworthy.

There’s a significant amount of collaboration between SE and Disney when developing the game. Any information or data that was exchanged between them and stored by Disney could potentially be at risk.
At least one game title has been leaked from it already, Alien Fireteam 2.

That’s true, but I thought that the Maleficent plot would have been important. Even though it didn’t go anywhere in KH3
KH4 taking its time for news is one thing... It's an AAA game that has a lot of investment and expectation, and is seen as a tentpole for SE in the current generation, especially after FF7R underperformed. But Missing Link taking this long not just to come out, but to even have any WORD on a release window is just... I'm not exaggerating when I say that Kingdom Hearts has never looked so publicly confused with itself. They're fumbling this one BAD.
The idea was probably too expensive, the gacha strategy probably looked super aggressive to make up for the long-term development and high cost, but then, perhaps, the gacha elements looked TOO aggressive and they thought they might have an expensive failure that no one will play on their hands... I'm starting to have my suspicions that they may be taking so long because they're pivoting to console, like Genshin and Zenless Zone Zero, but that requires a rework of how certain content is accessed without GPS.
