Heavy KH4 news for 2025 for sure. I'm guessing a late 2025/early 2026 release. If they were planning for a 2025 release, I'd expect news in this year's D23 or late 2024 latest.

I’m still hopeful we’ll get something on KH4 by the end of the year. If they are planning to release it on the Switch successor, they could be waiting to show it sometime after that’s been formally revealed.
And if ML does release this year, I think chances are pretty good some KH4 news will come along with it. A piece using Sora’s KH4 model would be a no-brainer to get people to pay into the gacha.

Same thing happened with Union Cross and KH3. Just not as prominent since the medals didn’t use the full model.
We better see it in a KH4 trailer first at minimum.
First reveal we got not was in-game but I know what you mean. His next appearance could very well be in ML or a second trailer if it somehow drops before ML. Hopefully it won't come to that though.

For some reason I was confident we would get something from Summer Game Fest and we got nothing. They didn't promise anything. I just had the feeling they would show something in June and that seemed the most likely event.
Maybe this time they will surpise me in a good way, since I don't expect anything from D23.

I still wouldn't completely rule out a reveal this year, but it does seem not likely atm.
There are still few places where they can show the game this year (Sony showcase/SoP in Fall, Nintendo Switch 2 reveal sometime this year, or Geoff's TGA, etc.)
Judging from FF7R projects, I do expect a reveal to be relatively close to game's launch, like within 8 months.

wasn't Olympus stuff revealed at the concert? Unless there was something before that..
I feel they rarely drop stop randomly, at least for their biggest stuff. I do remember MoM was announced randomly but not sure if they would do it for KH4, at least for the next showing which I expect to be an important re-reveal.

To be fair, he looked a lot better in other shots of that same trailer. I think it was just the lighting in that shot that made him feel off.

Yeah, it makes me wonder. Perhaps that one shot was from an older build and a "real time" cutscene while the rest of the trailer is pre-rendered with a better looking model. They did that all the time in KH3, where some cutscenes are in-engine and some are pre-rendered for some reason. Maybe they didn't want to bother re-rendering that short segment with the updated model just for this quick reveal. Who knows, right?
But he does look fucked up. In that shot, I mean.
